orphan I love Hazel Osmond's books - persuaded nipper to read Mr Wolfe, I'm sure he's based on RA, well I could certainly imagine him in that role!!

Where is nip? Not seen her lately. say "hi" to her "whaj" for us ... hope she's OK.

I've just read the next chapter of Invincible (I know, I'm a bit behind, this RL lark gets in the way a bit!. So intrigued by it. Fab writing whaj, poor Molly though ... need another chapter! x

orphan be careful Dance the Tide can lead to a total destruction of your life. DH hasn't worked out that I sat up and read all night so that is why I keep dozing off now!!! Have to agree with onlygirl comment about the feeling of being broken!!
The only comment I would make is that the volume of QS when reading the 60 chapters in quick succession can also lead to a feeling of being exhausted or pure jealousy!!!!

Gosh ladies, a lot seems to have happened since I dipped in this afternoon. Regarding the re-commissioning of OG, I know we've been there before but I still hold out a degree of hope for a new series given the tweets TG throws out every so often. I think Nickel's idea is best that we just have CJ/BA on telly every Sunday night. Who cares what the theme is but if he wants to act out some QS, I won't complain.

To our newcomers Kelly and Dizzy, have you ever tried engaging in conversation about OG with complete strangers? You know the sort of thing "Oh, just happened to watch OG recently, it was really good, did you see it?" sort of thing. I think we've all tried that - at the doctor's, dentist and even the vet nurse in my case. They all looked blank and then I started to witter to cover up my awkwardness! Obviously thought I was some menopausal idiot! (They might not be far from the truth!)

Time for bed. I have some friends coming for tea tomorrow on their way up to Scotland and have been cooking tonight to save me doing much when I come home from work. Trusted venison casserole and a rhubarb sponge. If they don't like it, they will have to go to the chippy for their tea instead!

Morning! This reading lark means I have to get up extra early in order to have time to fit in some chapters before breakfast/school rush!

whaj yes RA would do very nicely for Mr Wolfe... Have you read any of Sarra Manning's adult books (as opposed to her teen fiction)? It Felt Like A Kiss had a hero that could be BA/CJ apart from the eye colour. Same hair, build, lip bite and QS worthy of jen. Her books are funny and caustic - def worth checking out if you like Hazel Osmond.

orphan be prepared - dance the tide will wreck you. I'm amazed bk managed it in 2 days. The author is lovely, she sent me a nice message after I left a review, but unfortunately mentioned that she has another long story. I can't start it yet, I'm not ready!

If only RL was all guitar strumming yet rich businessmen William Darcy's who could give you a mind blowing orgasm pretty much as soon as they touched you. sigh

Back to RL - there's a man with dubious body odour on the train next to me. Can I get a kelly style swap to a handsome stranger with tanned forearms? Please?!

ilove I don't know anybody who even watched OG (apart from DH who didn't really engage), or anyone else who has BA in their sites - being an obsessive I can't understand how it/he seems to have been so under the radar. Must admit I haven't tried testing my obsession on complete strangers tho, yet! Your tea sounds delicious, who could resist a good rhubarb crumble

ilove I hope all your friends realise how fortunate they are - you make such delicious food. Is your rhubarb sponge like an Eve's pudding? That's how I tend to use up our rhubarb although dp made a rhubarb chutney last year.

orphan you have to picture him as CJ, obv! (Spoiler alert) there's a particularly delightful skinny dipping / shagging in the ocean segment where a vision of CJ in such scene is just delightful!

orphan you don't know my food is delicious . Mind you, folk keep coming back so it can't be too bad. The rhubarb sponge was just rhubarb baked in the oven for about 10 mins with some orange juice and sugar and then a basic Victoria sponge mix on top. The rest of the mix went to make the cake above (which has now all gone when my colleagues pounced on it, I am pleased to say).

Dizzy you have to try asking strangers if they've seen OG. It was quite a game we played a few months back. If you get any recognition at all, it's usually "Oh she's in East Enders, isn't she?" Bet you don't get much more than that. Even asking the 25-30 year olds, who we believe the series was aimed at, doesn't get the response you are hoping for.

I've just come back from the gym starving hungry and now I want a piece of that victoria sponge ilove!

Ok, who suggested Dance The Tide ... Brilliant, but I've got nothing done all day and just noticed its nearly one. Stop recommending things I need to read!!!! (But actually thank you, it's REALLY good!!)

Just got back in again ready to settle down and read more Dance the Tide. Ideally, I could do with a large slice of ilove's cake.

Poor ds - I got a text from him saying his maths exam went 'terribly' this morning. For him to say ' terribly' means it really must have been a disaster.

I did actually try the game of asking strangers if they'd seen OG. Well it wasn't really a stranger, just one of the other Mams when I was dropping off DD at school. I said I loved Our Girl and was writing a FF story about Molly/CJ and she said "Oh yeah, I remember OG" with a big smile on her face and I got excited and asked "Did you watch it?" and she said "No." I thought, what good are you then! Why give off the big smiles and get me excited about it if you haven't seen it?! so no still don't know many others who saw it.

rhubarb a rather belated thank you for those extremely clear instructions as to how to use ficsave.com. I couldn't have done it without them (yes, I am extremely techno challenged). It's so good to have the stories in my kindle!

But (and apologies if this has already been covered) is there a way of downloading the whole story, instead of chapter by chapter? It's just Dance the Tide is 60 chapters long!!

kelly That's so funny. That mum doesn't know how lucky she was. She could have been the first victim of OG rage as you bashed her with your dd's school bag, screaming "You got me excited for nothing!"

Greenstuff has updated again!

only maybe it took 3 days, but have to confess life really did stop!! As DS and DH will attest to...lot of time spent sitting in the loo and greenhouse plus overnight reading!!! Cried my eyes out between chapters 29 and 40!!!It's been a long time since I last did an all night read, now I remember why!!! Matchsticks required!! Have down loaded her next one, not sure if I have the stamina to go for it yet. Catching up with some of OG ff...bit gentler on the eyes, though maybe not the emotions!!!

Don't really understand it but I seem to have managed to download onto my kindle the entire Dance the Tide story without realising it! Very happy.

Ok, I am sorted for reading. I've downloaded all our OG ff and the other very long P&P story by cat. I got a lovely message from her, pleased that her story was still being recommended.
