Morning.
Thanks for all the ff updates -really enjoyed them
I used to go to strawberry moons - too many years ago -cheesy but a good laugh.
BA would make an awesome Bond -I think my ovaries would explode
Am enjoying my weekly treat of Matthew Goode in the Good wife, must watch what else he's been in. Though still haven't watched all of Being Human-too much fanfic to read. Better go and attempt to get kids to school on time. Have a good day everyone

cjwoofwoof · 18/06/2015 09:12

Morning! ATs just been watering my honeysuckle so I bet my scent is stronger than orphs this morning.

If the lip bite and headset straw was a p-take then it was a very silly and clumsy attempt at humour. How anyone could partake in such frivolous and underhand mockery I have no idea, feel very hurt by it. Btw, next chapter of CJ on Tour is imminent...

SoEverybodyDance · 18/06/2015 09:31

Woofy is this going to be the 'punishment for taking the piss' tour?

There are almost 20,000 messages here on MN which are mostly about objectifying poor old BA and we've had lots of fun with it...

Good on him if he's having fun with it too...

icemistOBE · 18/06/2015 09:45

Indeed dance his friends must rib him about it all Grin I know I would.

Although a lot if our chat is more about the character

cjwoofwoof · 18/06/2015 09:46

Of course not Dancey I wouldn't dream of mocking BA/CJ. My work is a serious piece of dramatic literature loosely Shakespearean yet with subtle comedic undertones and frivolity reminiscent of Thomas Hardy novels but with a bit more pathos.

Or you could quite rightly describe it as complete bollocks Grin

cjwoofwoof · 18/06/2015 09:57

I'd like to think that if ever TG took up the option to dramatize my work my part would be played by Dame Helen Mirren whilst orph would be played by Madge from Benidorm or if she's not available perhaps Lily Savage? Of course the part of CJ would have to be cast by me, the author, and there's a very long list of possibilities that I would need to get through interview before BA is finally chosen as perfect for the role

pixieg1rl · 18/06/2015 09:59

Are you up for a Booker this year woof? I bet Hilary Mantel is shitting herself.

cjwoofwoof · 18/06/2015 10:15

Ah yes pix poor dear Hilary's work can be so bland and lacking in good research and in-depth storyline unfortunately. I know the Booker judges look for clarity and depth in literary characters, which is why my LLCs capture that energy and psyche forever evolving in constant dramatic emotion and efficacy.

Plus of course they're sex mad Grin

Tanqueen · 18/06/2015 10:17

Hi found you when one of the ff writers said there were other groups, just read back a few pages and didn't realise how long this thread been going...don't think will have time to read them all.

cjwoofwoof · 18/06/2015 10:20

Woohoo! Another newbie, welcome to the Sophisticated Silliness Tanqueen just sit back and enjoy the ride!

icemistOBE · 18/06/2015 10:33

I have to say that potential paunches, piss-takes and pouting aside, the fact that grabbed me was that the lady pictured is 'the voice of the self-service tills'. At last I can put a face to that annoying voice with whom I have had so many conversations in the past few years. They are usually along the lines of "Shut-up, I'm trying to do that but the bloody bags won't open", "Yes, I have placed the item in the bagging area", "yes I do wish to continue" and to the one at M&S where a particularly annoying slightly different voice cuts in saying "Please put the card into the chip and pin device" which I always mimic and say aloud "Yes, alright then" to many a strange look!

Welcome Tanqueen and thank you for the all the story reviews, much appreciated! If you have got a spare few weeks you could try reading previous threads or you might like a copy of the How to speak CJ Collective handbook which Ilove can provide. Basically, drop as many 'carry-on' type euphemisms as possible into the conversation and you'll have got it right. Woof and Orphan are the queens of comedy and can provide many examples.

Tanqueen · 18/06/2015 10:43

Thanks for the welcome, not really paid much attention to mums net as my kids are 18 and 15 so didn't know this was here until it was on my google search thing! Yes you all have..there reems of it!!???? but just reading the last few days I have to say I'm about 25% certain he bats for the other side, sometimes I'm sure and sometimes I not....but he still very easy on the eye which ever way he bats ???? as to those pics you been talking about...yes think he was takin the piss slightly but hay ho it his choice xx

Tanqueen · 18/06/2015 10:49

Just one question...how do you get your names to come up in bold?? Not to clued up on techno stuff...

pixieg1rl · 18/06/2015 10:56

If you don't have time to read the new 50sog book and you're on Twitter then follow @scottygb who is. So far Mr Grey is rather lacking in the charm department.

Rhubarb01 · 18/06/2015 11:01

Tanqueen you just need to type an asterix before and another one afterwards without any spaces and it should put the word in bold.

icemistOBE · 18/06/2015 11:03

You put an * either side of what you want in bold (no spaces)
-- either side puts a strike through and ^ either side is italics

No emoji work but there are smilies you can use

Got it thanks....I think Hmm Rhubarb01 and icemistOBE..

cjwoofwoof · 18/06/2015 11:15

And there's nothing wrong with having an 18 & 15 year old tan believe me! Or indeed two infant heirs to the throne like me...

cjwoofwoof · 18/06/2015 11:17

Ooh I say ice nearly XX time. I don't know what you ladies find to babble on about I really don't. I blame orphan Grin

elsie3g · 18/06/2015 11:18

Hey all, been lurking for an age - it's good to see you're all still completely obsessed and bonkers in equal measure (I count myself among your numbers by the way so please take it as a compliment!). I'm still reading and loving the FF too.

Just a quick post to share the other couple of pics from BA's night out posted on the Strawberry Moons website. In the first one he's either ensuring he doesn't trip up or else he's checking out that girl's bum...

Plus note that he's wearing the headset/straw this time.
