Good morning all out like a light again last night,like rip van winkle at the moment. Been reading back glad I was brought to here from FF and not to the other group. The CJ collective rule in my book.
Off for some retail therapy in Manchester and then Cardiff here we come, got to go to Edinburgh for work next week feels like a UK tour, will need to pack my little stick friend of course !

The latest KD story irritated me, sorry to say, not because of the plot which will probably be ok, but his comments about doing screenplays and what a second series of OG might be like.

Wishing we were going away for half term. We used to always go somewhere every half term (usually the dales, Wales or North Norfolk) but a couple of years ago as the children got older, they wanted to stay at home and see their friends instead. Plus it was getting too expensive. But I miss it although I don't miss the getting home and having one day to wash the uniform/do the homework/discover there is an important test the first day back at school etc.

That makes it sound like I did their homework though to be honest it would be better all round if I had done

ilove fitting or removing is fine with me! Feels a bit odd to imagine CJ as the fitter after all of the kilt fitting hilarity, he will be more than familiar with the workings of a measuring tape by now

You're right of course jen, CJ will have picked up lots of measuring tips from myself and richtea. Little things like eye contact at all times, customer satisfaction is paramount, accuracy can't be rushed and most importantly, ditch the tape and just use your hands.

Just looking for some thoughts on this. lola has been approached by some if the FB group about setting up a group based round the FF- a lot of people are quite annoyed and upset about it all and miss the interaction with the writers. Would you ladies be up for something like that. Would be all equal with no one writer being more important than another.

Hi ice I'd love to join that if okay - think the joy of OG is the humour, support and discussion. Think you guys have always been brilliant at keeping the maturity but with fantastic humour and never making anyone feel left out! Know that for some reason I find fbook easier to comment, prob shifts and kids mean that it's easier to catch up on!!! Fab idea x

I like the idea of our own website with chat function if it could be done. I have faith in your abilities Ice . Also if happen to know how to download the fanfic onto a Kindle- as in how it works in practice - I'd loved to know. I had a look at that link but I didn't really understand how to get the URL downloaded as a file onto my Kindle or what format the file should be in.

As I'm not on facebook I don't think I'd probably join that group. I'm not very keen on joining FB or Twitter. Well, not at the moment at least but good luck to you if you can get it going it sounds like something good - more like a type of book Group - maybe it should be called The Our Girl Fanfic Group

Just as an aside. I note some new guest reviews have been posted on KD which seem to express the opinions that were being mooted on here last night.

I just saw those... I am continually astounded by the way a perfectly reasoned point is refuted by the loyal few if it isn't a glowing endorsement of kd.

I'm really saddened that once again kd gate has spoilt something fun, but I refuse to be part of a group where I can't speak my mind.

To say I believe their behaviour to be unacceptable would be an understatement.

You raised rational and reasonable points. They have returned with a personal attack on you and seemingly anyone who comments on this thread.

This is the same as the previous review gate that led to the shutting of the group. The same group closed ranks and behaved awfully to the person who dared to try to comment with their thoughts.

Enough has to be enough.

I've posted it here so you know. I'm actually gobsmacked by the attract via KD ff. there is absolutely no need for it.
