Ice managed to look at fb. They are completely out of order. They are very miffed that all the ff writers have left in support of you!!! Please all still be here when I get back.

icemistOBE · 23/05/2015 16:26

We are going nowhere. We're just spreading the madness

WHAJEB1 · 23/05/2015 16:31

Gosh ice I'm waiting to see you in Time Magazine as one of the worlds most influential people. I take it that they think so little of the OG fanfiction reviewers that they can't make their own mind up without being led astray by someone else! Was surprised when I saw those negative guest reviews go through but obviously it was to allow Ali and Chris the platform to launch their attack. As much as the way you were treated did encourage me to leave, it was a culmination of seeing the excluding and frankly childish behaviour of about 5 of the members who were paramount in the deletion of the previous group. Agree yet again that one person has caused this upset, it really is the KD show, we are merely just pawns in his little game Shock

icemistOBE · 23/05/2015 16:44

I know... Never knew I had so much influence over people. Now if everyone can send me a donation via PayPal....

Worth a try Grin

My final say on it all ..

Oh my goodness. Just read your post icemist... They truly are bonkers and not in a funny or endearing way like we are. Am I right in reading it as saying that you're not allowed to express doubts over a second series being commissioned?? Anguish was felt??? I'm almost tempted to join fb so I can see what lunacy this is first hand.

As for a separate website, do you mean a fb one? This one will still carry on though won't it? panicking slightly

orphan · 23/05/2015 16:53

whajeb I didn't know you shared an upbringing with woof! Whereas she was raised by orangutans, you are actually a chimpanzee?! Actually, that's very similar to my look when I'm concentrating.

icemistOBE · 23/05/2015 16:54

We are still here. Just another place for those who don't come on here but want to share the madness

OP posts:
WHAJEB1 · 23/05/2015 16:57

Yes orphan I first had my suspicions when woof described her hairy legs, I thought it was too similar to be a coincidence - think I was right!!Grin

orphan · 23/05/2015 17:05

icemist I've just looked at the ff site. I know it must be awful for you but I'm afraid I did laugh when I read the comment about going back to our side of the playground. The whole thing smacks of juvenile petulance and cack handed bullying. Bravo to whoever wrote the level headed criticism.

orphan · 23/05/2015 17:07

And phew, I was worried you meant you were absconding and leaving me to chunter on here on my own. Smile

Rhubarb01 · 23/05/2015 17:24

Orphan I think that's called a blog!

Ice it sounds like over-reaction. I don't know who posted the long comment but it seemed like a genuine attempt to put thoughts across in a reasoned way. We can't all agree with each other all the time but in a democratic world you listen and respect one another's views. I'm very sad to see it all descending into this again when at the heart of the matter is the fact that we all, irrespective of where we are, liked the same TV programme which may or may not return for another series.

As someone else said last night ice you are the lynchpin on this thread. Please try to forget about any upsetting comments. It's never easy when you feel you are under personal attack but it's not worth the aggravation.

Onlygirljen · 23/05/2015 17:26

Jeez, you go out for an afternoon and all hell breaks loose. Again! Just seen the latest chapter in the saga. Think the 9 day old baby I've spent the afternoon with had more maturity than some adults.

ice I hope you're not letting it get to you. I'd advise adopting the same tactics I've just used on my 2 yr old in his supermarket tantrum. Ignore it, walk away, and buy two large bottles of wine Grin

On other points, I'm happy to be part of an OG ff group, sounds good. orphan this thread is going nowhere - I'm beginning to think we will be a load of geriatrics in nursing homes tapping away on tablets and laptops in decades to come.

nipper hope the day is going amazingly for you and the family. And last but not least rhubarb enjoy Eurovision!

Off to pour that glass now...

Onlygirljen · 23/05/2015 17:30

Oh and whaj, a tube of Veet should work wonders on those pins of yours Grin

orphan · 23/05/2015 18:01

Yes, whajeb I'd ask woof for some depilatory cream. She buys it in bulk, whereas I just let my chest hair flow free. Rupert likes to run his fingers thorough it and if he asks prettily I allow him to plait it.

orphan · 23/05/2015 18:08

icemist is not just the lynchpin and tech Queen but is our decorated leader! Not every forum can boast a member with an OBE. You do realise icemist that I salute and do an odd sort of curtsey whenever I read one of your posts?

pixieg1rl · 23/05/2015 18:21

Whajeb, I believe Thursday is the day that woof gets her depilatory cream delivery, because the anti-chafing cream tanker is scheduled to arrive on Friday. One year she forgot about good Friday and had a very uncomfortable Easter

Rhubarb01 · 23/05/2015 18:23

There is so much nonsense around this evening - I'm not going there again - that Dr Rhubarb prescribes a healthy dose of Eurovision washed down with copious amounts of medicine from a large green bottle. Adult dose - take two or three large glasses depending on your tolerance levels. The general effect is either mind-numbing, induction of false cheerfulness, alteration to hearing as previous crap songs can sound quite good and temporary optimism at the prospects of the UK entry. Just what the doctor ordered!

WHAJEB1 · 23/05/2015 18:31

The use of depilatory creams such as veet would unfortunately void my contract with the bbc to be a leg stand in for the chimps when they're not playing ball for David Attenborough Blush

orphan · 23/05/2015 18:36

Oh whajeb was it you that David Attenborough rolled around with?

orphan · 23/05/2015 18:38

And here's a pic of when you'd started to apply the depilatory cream but got interrupted...

Wink though I'd like to clarify that I have had my moustache done since then- I do have some standards!!!

moojangles · 23/05/2015 20:31

nickel hope you were able to watch, what a game! Come on you Shrimpers!

icemistOBE · 23/05/2015 21:17

And our sophisticated thread is back to normal
I've been out (well all of us) to local cricket club so I am a bit tipsy.
I'm now giggling to myself reading the latest on FF.

lola and some other fab ladies are in London tonight to see Si Lennon (aka Brains) in his play. They've met up with Nick Preston aka Mansfield Mike

rhubarb I'm picturing you in your Bucks Fizz tribute skirt which you tear off when the UK entry performs. Isn't Nigella doing the UK votes? I'm taking the medication you prescribed (2nd dose nearly downed) and now just need to actually watch the programme. Grin
