jen when Molly mused that the fantasies were becoming part of everyday life, I found myself nodding in agreement. I'm in serious danger of overheating reading the descriptions of CJ in a suit with a desk within easy reach.

I love that icemist. Next you'll be fielding similar questions about carrots, broccoli, onions etc I imagine.

Grotty rainy day here today. I've made a cake as I can't keep up with the amounts the boys are eating, I'm sure it will be gone by the end of the day. Apparently revision makes you hungry.... And the xbox!

Thanks BK, orphan, woof, Kezia but I don't think anyone's in much danger of overheating or screen embarrassment from this chapter.

We need an FF pop up don't we, so that if anyone comes looking we can press a key and a spreadsheet darts up out of nowhere to cover up all the QS and blushes we keep blaming on approaching middle age!

Was thinking about Persistence of Hope Pixie which is one of the few ones that I read which I was enjoying and wondered where it had gone to. Dark, dominant CJ, I loved it! Please update if you can...

And here's a confession: I find it really difficult to read other authors FF while I am writing my own as I find my thoughts about what I'm writing about just become diluted and confused with so many versions of CJ, Molly etc...

Apologies to all the brilliant FF authors here whose stories I haven't read or commented on - once I have finished That's an Order, I am definitely not going to write another - rather I'm going to sit back and enjoy all the ones I've not been able to read since I started writing.

Do any other FF writers here have the same difficulty?

Just remember pixie and jen slow and steady wins the race, so no need for panic, remember the mantra Stay Alert, Stay Focused ... we are all willing to wait until the muse or mojo gets you!!! Just grateful that some of you are so talented in the creative dept.

Some of us on here will remember when you had to wait for a weekly update in your magazine - short stories in women's magazines seem to have disappeared - now with technology we want it now!! but patience is good as it gives time to reread and reflect, pick up on the nuances and then dream!!

Oh yes, I know that feeling dance, unfortunately I have about as much backbone as a kitkat so I end up reading everything and then get muddled about finding 'my' version of CJ or Molly.

I'm not going to be updating persistence that one is finished, although I may allude to the events following it in something else (there I go, expanding my story again)

No more embarrassing ff moments so far today. I thought there was a command in Windows which blanked your screen out with the Windows logo showing but it is either on an old version or I've forgotten what it was. May need to ask one of our more techie folks.

I did have a lovely CJ-esque moment earlier this afternoon. There was a tall man in a dark suit standing with his back to me, facing our coffee machine. I couldn't hear him particularly but let's just say I wasn't finding it too hard to imagine him in Jen's office scenario. Must also point out that when he turned round and I could see his face, he wasn't your run of the mill male we usually get in here.

Been there dance, when I lost my way halfway through in the long run,
I had to have a bit of time where I didn't write or read because I just couldn't picture 'my' version. Now I just can't help myself though.

Yes, I remember saying I wouldn't write anything after my first story either..! You might find that you're itching to do another one after a while (I selfishly hope so ).

pixie did you need to mention kit kats? I just had to visit the vending machine at work to buy one cos of you! Suppose that shows the strength of my backbone too!

BK oh yes, I remember the weekly instalments of stories in magazines. Our ff is so much better!

Was up making two big sponge cakes this morning. My friend whose little boy I sometimes look after and who has just got divorced is moving into her new house today. I thought I'd take a couple of cakes round as an early housewarming present as her parents will be helping her to move. Even if they don't eat them themselves, she will no doubt have some visitors over the weekend who will welcome them.

Well listen up all those of you who may have got caught out reading this or ff by your boss! If you press the Windows button and d at the same time, it minimises everything and if you press the Windows button and L at the same time, it locks your screen. I knew there was something that did it but had totally forgotten what it was.

Anyone got any suggestions on what to do if you've got a mac?

Forget it, what I need is a boss!

On second thoughts, does anyone have a Jennifer-type boss for a short library loan?

I sometimes struggle to read others as I get panicky about how good they are and that they've dealt with something much better than me!

Speaking as a reader of the ff, I used to get muddled with the stories, mixing up in my mind all the various CJ's, but obviously dedication to the cause has now resulted in me being able to compartmentalise successfully!

richtea at least that's revision going on in your house; my ds' A levels start next week but you wouldn't know it from what he's been doing! New girlfriend, 18th birthday parties, making holiday plans all seem to have taken priority over revision.

Really like the sound of your CJ-esque spotting ilove. Wish I had office skills cos I think I might like a job where there's the possibility of gorgeous, suited CJ look alikes. Hmm, is it too late to retrain as a PA? I think I can do the bending over the desk with a cup of coffee part, its just the typing etc I'd struggle with

No one mention afternoon delight, I'm gazing at DS's gymnastics instructor (he of the tight trousers) and I'm getting all flustered!
