I think there might be a waiting list for Chris. He might think it's all his birthdays have come at once but he hasn't seen us yet

Sure he'd show you a good time ladies, he does like to eat out Grin.
Although I fear he's a little bit of an overeater, keeps on helping himself till it becomes uncomfortable.

pixieg1rl · 27/05/2015 22:12

I'm sure he's no match for woof's appetites.

orphan · 27/05/2015 22:18

But we wouldn't want woof to over indulge and suffer from one of her bilious attacks, so probably best if I had RL Chris instead.

orphan · 27/05/2015 22:20

And I take great care of my loans - no broken spines but can't guarantee there won't be audible crack

cjwoofwoof · 27/05/2015 22:22

I fear it's going to cost me a fortune in fines for damaged returns...

cjwoofwoof · 27/05/2015 22:23

...and there may be a few that never go back for a restamp either...

cjwoofwoof · 27/05/2015 22:28

It's uncanny pixie that the one on the far left is soooo like orph in her 1978 gymnastic heyday Grin

BK28 · 27/05/2015 22:49

pixie break in thread not intentional earlier, disappeared for a cold shower!

Pleased to see some new phrases for the handbook have surfaced out of our musings today!

Have just got home from the theatre with dh, saw a production of Spamalot where Patsy wears a wicker panier, lookeda bit like a pilchard basket, complete with Coco pops box, immediatley thought of woof Isthis where she hides out when she is not sparring withorphan Really glad that it was a funny show wouldn't have been able to not laugh out loud if not!!

orphan · 27/05/2015 22:52

Hmm woof an unkind reminder of the high price I paid for supreme athleticism. However, whilst I had the face of an aged crone, my thighs (the very same ones that went onto to crack nuts on stage) were honed muscle (Think The Incredible Hulk.) I still have to have my trousers made specially for me.

pixieg1rl · 27/05/2015 23:10

Ahh, orphan, Mumsnet's answer to Bruce Banner...

cjwoofwoof · 27/05/2015 23:13

Not to mention your hats orph as that pic shows all too clearly - can't be easy having a cone shaped head

orphan · 27/05/2015 23:38

Now, now woof you know what's tucked up in that hat. My Rapunzel nether regions hair, plaited and cunningly pulled up behind me (yes, rather painful, I admit) to hide in my specially designed hat. Yet another reason why my trousers are custom made...

Ilovelblue · 27/05/2015 23:58

Whajeb how cruel of you to update Kinship at this time of night. I should be asleep and not reading your latest chapter! It's brilliant by the way. Charles is just .......... well, adorable in this.

cjwoofwoof · 28/05/2015 00:05

Indeed orph you've mastered that Molly Dawes French plait in a remarkable feat of pubic engineering for sure. Just hope the hat doesn't accidentally topple leaving a trail of matted curls; not that dear Ian Ogilvy ever complained - he rather liked the freed tresses so he could machete his way through to the prize

moojangles · 28/05/2015 00:06

Greetings!! Did ask DH about laundry at FOBs but have since consumed far too many rum based cocktails. Will re ask tomorrow!

SoEverybodyDance · 28/05/2015 00:34

Dear Mooj while the answer to the question of laundry at FOBs is pressing, another far more URGENT matter has arisen and that is could you put your DOH (dear other half) in the Mumsnet Male Lending Library please?

We anticipate there will be a lot of requests for him to be lent in fatigues...

Apologies Mooj I think this is the first time I've written to you directly and I feel slightly embarrassed that it is a request to borrow your DOH for nefarious purposes, but in the context to today's conversation, I hope you see I am doing it for the greater good of us all!

Ladies, can I suggest a library system that we used to have at my university that might do for items in high demand like RL Chris. Items that were very popular were kept in the 'teaching collection' and could only be borrowed for three days. Books that were 'highly' sought after were in a special section with yellow stickers and they could only be loaned for three hours.

I do like the idea of three hour loans! Just enough time to indulge in a good lunch...

moojangles · 28/05/2015 06:27

Still can't remember about the laundry.
Dance feel free to add DH to lending list. He does indeed do the low slung combats but I would suggest that the rear view is best, if you can work with that!

icemistOBE · 28/05/2015 08:00

Morning all. Nearly June and it's rather chilly here. No chance of wearing summer clothes yet.

Good luck with the shopping ice!

Another frustrating day at the coalface. There are some people you just want to smack very hard! Deep breaths...!

BK28 · 28/05/2015 08:41

dance I do believe you could be onto something there with the special 3hour borrowing time!!

Fantastic late night chapter whajeb !! Was a really good excuse not to succumb to sleep!!

Good luck with the shoe shopping ice hope you've got something in the fridge chilling for when you get home!

LolaKent14 · 28/05/2015 09:01

I read kinship again from 1-22 finished in the early hours.
Such a lovely read Whajeb! Enjoyed it in one hit.

orphan · 28/05/2015 09:18

Thanks whajeb for a wonderful chapter to read first thing this morning. I think this is my favourite of your stories so far, but might have to reread all 3 again just to be sure!Smile

Oh yes, great idea dance. I'm up for a quick loan. Thanks mooj for allowing the acquisition of your dh. He can be catalogued under 'The Real Thing.' (Actual low slung combats makes him a specialist loan)

orphan · 28/05/2015 09:26

ilove overcast here today, but yesterday I was out on my lounger in a thin 3/4 sleeve cardigan (cos of slight breeze) and when I came back into the house my children nearly wet themselves laughing. The sun must have been stronger than I realised and I'd burnt my forearms, leaving a very odd tan line. Don't quite know how to even it up. Confused
