dance my other half is convinced I like OG is because I fancy Lacey Turner. When I suggest it's BA that holds my attention the says that's because he looks just like him (he really doesn't).

jen sorry to hear about your crappy day. I don't think there's much you can say to reason a sudden death to anyone, let alone an 8 year old. Lots of cuddles and reassurance is probably the best anyone can do.

SoEverybodyDance · 26/05/2015 23:42

Richtea I do remember the painful time you had and am very glad you got through it... DOH (wonder why I call him that) seems more curious than concerned, although this may be an act as he's very quiet with his suspicions.

OTOH he may be thinking all his fantasies are just around the corner!

Thank you for your nice messages to Mr Dance, although 'entertaining deranged women all over the country' Jen might give him some more to think about! Seriously though, thanks everyone, fortunately I don't think it's an issue - perhaps I should be worrying now!

You are right orphan your and woof's contributions could make tricky reading for most males.

Brains is looking very good in these photos, much better than he did in Our Girl. Hmm!... So he is the opposite of Ben Aldridge, who looked amazing as CJ but sadly geeky (in my opinion) in real life.

Of course Jen you are Brains' personal champion and you should get a reward for lifting him up so high in our estimation!

orphan · 26/05/2015 23:47

pixie I quite fancied Molly though in the duet scene. If I was a lesbian I think she'd be my ideal not withstanding woof in her crocs and best set of teeth

SoEverybodyDance · 26/05/2015 23:48

Poor you Pixie, Lacey Turner does not do it for me at all! But have to ask, if you have your own personal CJ/BA at home, what are you doing on here?

Thanks Ilove I will be showing him your messages! I agree with you on the Brains thing...

Golly ladies, Our Girl is like a gift that keeps on giving... now we can distract ourselves with Brains for a few months, give him some FF starring roles to fantasise over, champion him to his agency, and meet him in RL too!

SoEverybodyDance · 26/05/2015 23:50

Oh Orphan I suspect poor Lacey Turner is to become the focus of your and Woof's next banter round.

She does not do it for me at all. She has big wolf's teeth - maybe cheap veneers.

orphan · 26/05/2015 23:54

There was just something about her in the duet scene though - golden tan, flowing locks, cheeky grin...Oooh, I might have to persuade Rupert to wear little shorts and a long brown wig...

orphan · 26/05/2015 23:58

I need spo to return and support me in my sapphic fantasies!

As for Brains, he really isn't my cup of tea looks wise. I need chiseled cheek bones, rolling tongue, defined jawline...phew it's ok, Rupert can ditch the shorts and wig....

Rhubarb01 · 26/05/2015 23:58

Just idly checking the most active threads on MN to discover we are no 2 behind 'How often do you wash you bras?'

That amused me for silly reason - something to do with bras. Anyway, goodnight all!

Rhubarb01 · 26/05/2015 23:58

Hooray and with that post we made it to number one!

cjwoofwoof · 27/05/2015 00:00

GEEKY dancey , GEEKY?? Angry Angry

orph I'm practising pelvic grip with AT as we speak but his pilchards have gone a bit stiff - can we use frozen scampi for convenience instead? I really think we've got a chance after seeing tonight's acts on BGT but I am quite delusional after too much cider

SoEverybodyDance · 27/05/2015 00:01

I knew I shouldn't have written that bloody line about bras. It's keeps returning to haunt me!

cjwoofwoof · 27/05/2015 00:05

Sorry but I'm with orph Brains doesn't do it for me either. Neither do I think Lacey is a beauty, sorry. Chiseled features, weasel noses and Belgians seem to push my buttons at the mo, and they are certainly not Geeks dancey

orphan · 27/05/2015 00:08

dance just think when you're a world famous author and doing marathon book signings, your fans will shout out your catchphrase 'Now your bra!'Grin

SoEverybodyDance · 27/05/2015 00:45

Orphan, I can't bear the thought of it... I'll have to get you and woof to fashion me an effective disguise...

icemistOBE · 27/05/2015 06:59

Morning,

Work again today and thanks to L was awake for ages overnight. Least I'm off tomorrow.

Morning. Been awake since 5 with the littlest and now need to get my brain in gear for work. Not good!

I have to side wlth orphan in the debate btw, I think LT is really beautiful!

Rhubarb01 · 27/05/2015 07:46

LT has lovely hair. I particularly like that hair style arrangement as in picture three - I do think someone might struggle to do their hair like that on their own in real life - perhaps that was another of 'brains' or 'fingers' charms on tour. Maybe they were were a dab hand at a fancy french plait! After all prisoners of war during the Napoleonic era took up embroidery so such fine skills are not impossible.

Have to say that as much as the combats and uniforms enhance the charms of some people we know and love they really did very little for poor old Molly as they emphasise the lack of height and put too many bulky things in all the places a girl wouldn't want them to be. They could do with getting Gok to take out his scissors and do a bit of strategic snipping to get an improved outline that still did the business!

icemistOBE · 27/05/2015 07:50

Just caught up on last nights posts. I can giggle now (nearly) at when Hubby found my draft letter to BA and asked if I wanted him to pretend to be Capt James in bed BlushConfused

WHAJEB1 · 27/05/2015 08:18

I hope you took him up on it ice!! I could get you a flak jacket to help the whole scenario Grin

BK28 · 27/05/2015 08:24

Morning all! Missed last nights line of discussion... I'm with rhub on LT hair...had similar thought considering the majority of female soldiers appear to go for the bun, much easier than the French pleat. My other obsessional query was about laundry..do they have washing machines in a FOB? If not the smell would have been enough to drive the Taliban away...

Ilovelblue · 27/05/2015 08:28

Dance not sure I would describe BA as geeky, but I do think his clothes could be improved (I think that has been a topic for discussion on here on more than one occasion) and I think we were all agreed it was the uniform that clinched it for us. It came as quite a shock in the restaurant scene to see him out of uniform and my first thought was "OMG not sure I like him like this" though the look did grow on me after several viewings of that scene.

Rhubarb your comment about Molly's/Lacey's French plait made me laugh because throughout the series, I kept thinking how could you manage to look so well coiffed in 40 degree heat and how could you do that lovely style on your own? Can't imagine I could even be bothered with long hair being on tour for six months. I wonder if there are decent hairdressers in Bastion Grin or whether it's a man with a pair of sheep shears?

Ilovelblue · 27/05/2015 08:32

BK great minds think alike!

As for the uniform, yes it is hardly the most flattering design for the female figure. At least MD was slim so didn't look too bad but with a big bum or big thighs you'd look like 10 ton Tessie.

BK28 · 27/05/2015 08:33

Don't think mrBK has any such thoughts, he just comments are you back on your mumsnet following the lunacy...the secret has been to include him...he gets read carefully edited titbits...gives him an insight and confirms madness abounds! woof and orphan you have definitely helped keep him off the case!!

Ilovelblue · 27/05/2015 08:33

Oh and before I go, at least some of you have seen Brains in the flesh and can confirm he is lovely..... which is more than any of us can say about BA, geeky or otherwise!

BK28 · 27/05/2015 08:51

pixie mrBk is an older model of CJ but issue is he is only 5'6 to my 5'11, so he has had to put up with me getting him to stand on a stool to kiss! Just needed to know what it might feel like to be smalll like MD/LT!

dance I'm with you on RL BAplus had a similar response to him in civvies in that final scene, although rhubs outdoor instructor CJ does it for me! Had a thought would be nice to see how he actually wears a suit!! Future James Bond maybe???
