Morning. Just wanted to say that I finally managed to download FF to my kindle using the link you left on here ice. I'm not very techy at all and leave most of that to my DH but I actually managed to do this on my own after a lot of faffing about reading guidance notes and doing the usual "where the hell is that" and "what the does that mean". Sorry if that sounds pathetic but it's a tiny moment of success for me. I am trying to work on updating my story but feel a little guilty because like youilove we've got a hedge that needs trimming and I did promise to help. Will have to try to persuade the, in my case reasonably big bleeders, to try to help. No chance!

My DS picked up a big stick whilst out walking and wanted to turn it into a fishing rod! Bear Grhylls eat your heart out! So this morning dad has attached a magnet to it and I have made paper fish with paper clips attached. Hopefully keep him occupied whilst I do some housework. Then going 10 pin bowling later. We too have a hedge which desperately needs cutting where is CJ with his gardening gloves when you need him?? Very selfishly need more fanfic, controversially stopped reading Klipdoctor ages ago (whispers) got bored!! Looking forward to your next one Jen!

Oh rhubarb you give me hope. I'm the least techy person and haven't looked properly at the ff kindle link yet, but am encouraged that you were successful. Expect pleas for help if I get stuck!

My DS collects sticks. The front garden (all paved) has about 30 sticks. When it was his groups turn for show and tell, he wanted to bring one!

Consider yourself lucky icemist. My dp still collects sticks! I had to forcibly stop him from bringing back from France an enormous 'beautiful' stick he'd found! Fortunately, we have an allotment where he can store his treasures - sticks, pebbles, rocks, etc.

We had to hide one last year in Portugal. I'm hoping he might grow out of it but now littlest is doing it too. It's all grandads fault for picking them up when they go for a walk

Happy Bank Holiday Monday!! I'm back in the land of the living and am shocked and awed by what's been occurring on FB etc. Nobody puts my ice lady in the corner so ice just wanted to repeat what's been said over the weekend - you are the nuts and that FB lot sound like a total bunch of complete loons. Unfortunately I'm with orph and all the other old codgers and can only muster posting on this site; can't cope with FB or Twatter, sorry ice but it's a great idea for a ff site and if I was 20 years younger I'd be poking or twatting for sure.

Pleased to see several of you are keeping your bushes trimmed today - the trimmer you keep them the less chance of unruliness and dried matting appearing unless you're orphan who prefers to plait from the chest downwards

rhu didn't catch any Eurovision so still don't know who won? Felt like I was there though despite it being two days later - the running commentary on here was so funny. pixie you need to be drunk and write posts on here more often - just a thought

Will try and find some space but might be above and beyond... my bleeder has never wanted to play on his own and is currently sitting on my knee trying to push my head out of the way and pushing my fingers to make me write 'to' and trying to click on the picture of the enchilladas. No chance of concentrating with that going on and qs is out of the question!

Orphan the key things you need to do to download on to the Kindle are to login to your account at amazon, click on Manage content and devices and select Settings. Under Personal Document Settings your personal kindle email address is shown (its usually on the kindle as well). Below that should be Approved Personal Document email list. You need to add [email protected] as an approved address. You also need to check under Personal Document Archiving that archiving is enabled. (sorry if this sounds obvious to all you clever people out there but I didn't set up my kindle and don't usually download anything other than books by clicking buy it!) When you click on ficsave.com you need to copy and paste the URL of the story you want into the file name, select MOBI as the file type and then put your Kindle address into the email address box. Fingers crossed that should work. DS will confirm that I did a little squeal of joy when it turned up on my Kindle.

I'm often told that I'm entertaining when I've been drinking woof the only difference to me is that after a few glasses of wine I'm more inclined to say what is actually going on in my head rather than let the sobriety filter me into keeping my trap shut.
