given recent form, things look less than great for Nadal-but he likes the big stage and slams are a different beast to other tournaments.
So- new thread to talk ( mostly) about tennis- though it's not compulsory.
, and we all have different favourites and respect that others might not love our favourites as much as we do.
so...a week to go. May Murray be less tired, Rafa more confident , and a happy tournament be had by all.

I have never forgiven Chang for beating Edberg at RG. 1989 was a sad year- Stefan missed out on RG, and lost to Becker at Wimbledon. And I cried

Bored already of the will he/wont he Rafa chat.
They did this last year, right up till he won. 
Can't we please just watch the tennis and appreciate some of the greatest players we have ever seen ?
I'm crossing everything for Rafa, just hope he is still enjoying playing, even if he doesn't get that No. 10.
Still can't quite get my head round the fact that there will come a time that there is no Rafa at RG. I'd just like to be able to enjoy watching him play without all the useless prattle.
I'm a bit miffed.
Very cross also for poor Lewis in Monaco. Bet Spurs lose their final match today too.
My favourite sports people/teams are mirroring my life with results. Crap.

MrsV. It is annoying. I really hope he does it- if for no other reason than to shut people up . And if he doesn't- that the nay sayers won't suddenly dismiss his incredible record, and only ever remember his loss. If I've read one article where they have had to dig up someone who beat him 10 years ago, I've read a dozen. And Soderling- you'd think his win in 2009 was the only match he ever won.
Of course Rafa can't (sadly) go on forever. I'm not sure he is physically going to do a Roger- his playing style is too aggressive, and he is too prone to injury because of it.
But it's Rafa, and it never fails to to amaze me that of all the players, he seems to get the most stick. And he is the one most people want to see fail.
Oh Mathieu- you seem to have given up now.

Just seen that. DS is now cross ! DH is cross I told him not to bother to watch F1, only DD isn't bothered.
Least the Stoke L'pool result means we finish above them.

Yep. Don't know why people seem so eager to see Rafa lose. When he's not in the game anymore people will perhaps realise how much he brought to it.
Only thing with ITV4 is you have no choice over what match to watch. Jo-Wilfred is on PC now.
I do wish we could have a choice of matches, like Wimby.
