So- new thread to talk ( mostly) about tennis- though it's not compulsory., and we all have different favourites and respect that others might not love our favourites as much as we do.

so...a week to go. May Murray be less tired, Rafa more confident , and a happy tournament be had by all.

What's been going on here? I disappear to do Mum's Taxi for DS2 & come back to find the tennis thread has turned into a soccer & F1 thread . Not that I mind, I love sport & spend lots of my MN time on the pro-cycling threads jabbering away about blokes in lycra.

I did happen to watch the Monaco GP today, but missed the finish. What a cock-up. Lewis had a face like thunder, didn't he, and Rosberg looked so smug I wanted to smack him.

my mum watches all the sport going- or records it. I find cricket terminally boring, and it can't be right that you can be winning one minute, and end up with a draw because of rain!

I love watching things like the Olympics though, and got quite obsessed last year by the Norwegian curling team's snazzy trousers.

so- the new 'British' player, Bedene is playing Thiem. He seems like a nice lad, but Mark Petchey was very vocal about what he thinks of foreign players playing for us.

Can someone explain Laura Robson then? her parents are Australian, she was born there- is she therefore not Australian? I know they moved here, but she isn't really British, or have I missed something? it has always confused me.

Morning all - just got rid of ds3's little sleepover friend (whose Dad is a friend of Chris Hemsworth - I live in hope of bumping into him at their house one day. Not that I actually know who Chris Hemsworth is but I've been told he's a bit of a heart throb). So I can settle down to some tennis now :)
