Ooh nipper they sound a good read . I usually hate book covers that have TV tie in photos etc, but I'd be very happy with a book that had a pic of BA dressed as a priest on the cover...

orphan · 19/05/2015 12:34

Hope your mum is OK now nipper. Flowers

I hadn't read a Mills and Boon until do and I went on hol to a cottage which had a whole shelf of them. Guess what I spent the hol reading?! I was so surprised that they were really quite hot reads. remembering one about a lusty Spanish nobleman Blush

orphan · 19/05/2015 14:17

rhubarb you're really turning the screws aren't you? Molly and Charles - as one walks in, the other leaves! I'm really in two minds as to Matt's motives. I fear he's up to no good, but are you just being tricksy? Anyway, I do love your writing and still don't understand why you're not doing it for a living.Smile

lola it was wonderful to see your update. Hope all's well in RL and the writer's block has gone. Has CJ been monopolising your time?

cjwoofwoof · 19/05/2015 14:35

I'm with Richtea and not as well read as you lot. All I remember reading was The Beezer (I found Korky the Cat very heavy going) then Jackie and Blue Jeans for more mature literature before switching to The Daily Mirror for unbiased opinion. Feeling like I need to tug my forelock before addressing you brainy ladies now...or maybe a fetlock?

Sorry to hear about your mum Nip - my old girl has been a bit out of sorts lately, it's a constant worry.

Rhu you little minx, I'm going to throttle either CJ or Matt or both if they don't sort things out.

Rhubarb01 · 19/05/2015 14:41

Nipper sorry to hear about your mum. Hope she's on the road to recovery and you are able to get back to your writing. I'm sure some good stuff from you is just what she needs to aid her recovery.

Orphan and woof thanks for the comments. I'm just going to state publicly for the record here that I do have a plot for the story just in case anyone thinks I've lost it. The last chapter wasn't supposed to be that long but as my mum would say "it just grew - like Topsy" (I don't know who Topsy is or was) Anyway it was supposed to move on elsewhere but had I carried on it would have been ridiculously long so it looks like you're getting another chapter instead. Not my favourite chaper, I'm afraid Oh well!

orphan · 19/05/2015 14:54

rhubarb I'm in no doubt as to you having a stonking plot all planned out - your dextrous plotting is one of my favourite aspects of your stories.

No need to be modest woof. What people need to know is you were in fact brought up entirely by orangutans and didn't learn to read until several years after you'd retired from competitive gymnastics. You then founded an international programme for teaching apes literacy skills and enabling them to access higher education.

orphan · 19/05/2015 14:57

Sadly, you just missed out on the Nobel prize - Mother Theresa nabbed it that year.

cjwoofwoof · 19/05/2015 15:05

orph you promised to keep all that a secret! I suppose I did almost let the cat out of the bag when describing my gorilla grip on CJs shelf way back on an earlier thread, plus your photo album last week was a big of a giveaway. Ah well, banana anyone?

cjwoofwoof · 19/05/2015 15:18

Now if you don't mind I'll get back to my reading - it's a particularly gritty drama, laden with ye olde Englishy dialogue yet a modern twisting whodunnit bodice-ripping finale: Little Miss Hormone Meets Mr Big Bulge

SoEverybodyDance · 19/05/2015 15:33

That's not the Harry Potter FF I posted over the weekend is it Woof?

cjwoofwoof · 19/05/2015 16:01

Oo-er could be Dance, Mr Big Bulge does insist on showing Little Miss Hormone his magic wand on many occasions - does that sound like your style?

pixieg1rl · 19/05/2015 16:03

Ladies, (and SPO), someone else has read the smutty Thomas the Tank Engine ff!

www.toplessrobot.com/2012/03/fan_fiction_friday_thomas_the_tank_engine_in_tensi.php
And you thought HP erotica was a step too far....

SoEverybodyDance · 19/05/2015 16:26

pixie that Thomas Erotica is just wrong

cjwoofwoof · 19/05/2015 16:31

Hmm I dunno Dance, I always thought Gordon was very masterful...

SoEverybodyDance · 19/05/2015 16:35

Woof I don't write Harry Potter erotica! I don't even read it for that matter! I once came across some Harry Potter S&M which was an eye opener, to say the least. I've never read any other Harry Potter FF at all. I linked it on here over the weekend but sadly no one commented. So here it is again. Just for your delectation...

www.fanfiction.net/s/4814128/1/

Woof Please don't disappoint. R&R on here.

SoEverybodyDance · 19/05/2015 16:37

Oh my god Pixie I've just come across Thomas in my son's room. I can't look at him in the same way again. Ever. That's so disturbing...

Ilovelblue · 19/05/2015 17:10

Change of subject. I will discuss writers and "A" level fiction when I have more time at home tonight but orphan in particular I thought might like to look at the alliums which have come out.

Looking forward to Rhubarb's update as well as Lola's and greenstuff.

xx

Our Girl and Captain James Addicts Part XVII
Ilovelblue · 19/05/2015 17:12

Ooops, not sure how that happened! My alliums look drunk.

Onlygirljen · 19/05/2015 17:36

Sweet Jesus pixie. I'm lost for words.

My 2 year old makes me song the Thomas song with him every night, the whole bedtime routine is now shot to pieces. Can only now think of alternative dirty lyrics Confused

cjwoofwoof · 19/05/2015 17:45

Dance I don't have time to read 86 chapters of your HP smut at least not at the moment despite scanning for the best bits Besides, orph will tell you, I'm not good with the long words. I'm still only half way through Thomas the Tank at the moment and he's just had his back boiler stoked by Henry Grin

SoEverybodyDance · 19/05/2015 17:56

Does Henry really do that Woof It must be further down. I couldn't get beyond Rosie licking Thomas's steam hole!

Jen Our Thomas is going to the jumble. I can't look him in the eye again.

Woof what do you mean scanning for the best bits. They're not hard to find. Snape humiliates Hermione into wetting her pants in the first chapter and it all goes downhill from there.

orphan · 19/05/2015 18:15

Crikey, the last time I looked we were talking about Neville Shute, Thomas Hardy etc and now it's steam holes and Thomas enjoying a good old coupling. And dance I feel you're being unduly coy about the HP erotica - clearly you have another nom de plume!

ilove gorgeous alliums why does that sound dirty now?

orphan · 19/05/2015 18:17

I hate to think what shunting involves in the Thomas ff...

Nickel45 · 19/05/2015 18:19

Oh my goodness pixie, not sure i want to know how you found that link. I'm glad I read it in this version, rather than the original, the 'commentary' was really funny, but the actual story .... Ik!!!!!!!!! Thankfully neither of mine were ever into Thomas (can't even write that now without cringing!).

dance I started reading your HP story, but will have to save it for when I'm not sitting with other people near by Blush!!,

Nickel45 · 19/05/2015 18:22

nip so sorry to hear about your mum. How is she doing? How are you? You must be shattered. Hopefully your bro will be able to help out a bit? Sending hugs xx
