ER - when does it 'hook you'

trying again to get into ER, end of Ep3 - i dont love it yet, how long did it take you to 'love it'?

From the very first one. But I also remebe the episode where the sister gave birth whilst they sang 'blackbird' by the beatles. Loved that.

Another two episodes of series one watched this morning

For some reason I found Luka seriously irritating. I was quite pleased when, as we thought, they finally killed him off, and irrationally enraged when he came back to life.

How is it that i have never heard on that website before! I'm on an ER marathon.

Icimoi, I've already written about my dislike of Luka, but I just wanted you to know that I'm with you. I think it was the way he always looked like he was chewing something. Also, he was a self-righteous bastard.

I was a student back when it was on channel 4 but Wednesday was the big going out night so we used to set the video to tape Friends and ER snd watch them hungover on a Thursday. Those were the days.

I now own the DVD box set (previously had video box sets such is my devotion and yes video box sets did exist back in the day I just don't think they wer called 'box sets' and they took up a lot of shelf space!!) but have. Not watched it for ages. Must get on to that but it does take over your life.

If I had to rank ER I think it would be my favourite, followed by west wing, Gilmore girls, parenthood, good wife as top five :)

Love all the random guest - 'Bunny' trey's grandmother from sex and the city (now zeek's mother in parenthood), Christina Hendricks, Charlotte from sex and the city, Paris from Gilmore girls, tons more I cannot think of....

I love ER. I watched it on Mat leave with ds1. The one where carters baby died and I can't listen to somewhere over the rainbow without crying

Just watched the first episode on imtv.cc - thanks so much to whoever recommended it, I'm totally gripped and I don't think it's aged too badly. Can't wait to watch episode 2!

Currently watching (on the box) an episode with lil'o Obi-Wan Kenobi, who plays a store robber who kills the owner from the start. I think it was supposed to be scary, but I can't help find it funny when he chases a boy around the shop.
The other perp is Currie Graham, who has also appeared in a number of other series.

Which prompted me to look for more info, and this before you were famous list. Interesting names there.

As of season 3 I had spotted Kirsten Dunst, Omar Epps, Marg Helgenberger, and Jorja Fox (but I did remember her in ER when she got in CSI).

I’ve watched the first 7 episodes on DD’s ipad. I could literally watch one after the other but life gets in the way! I remember why I loved it so much. Even the opening music and sequence gives me a thrill every time…I can’t believe it is 21 years old.

OP I know you are not a major fan but thank you for this thread as it has brought ER back into my life (god I am sad !).

I think Lucy's death was awful.

Especially when I found out online she wanted to leave when her sister died.

I need to re watch these!
