Love this thread! I loved e.r when I was teenager and like other posters wouldn't do anything on a Wednesday night! So many brilliant episodes! I love the one where the father had to choose to use one son's organs to save the other son after the they had been hit by a drunk driver. Dr Corday and him sit on the floor to discuss and it wasn't long after Dr Greene died.! So bloody sad!

There is also a very touching moment when Romano signs to Benton's son, always makes me cry! Speaking of which Romano's hand anyone????!!!

ems1910 · 30/04/2015 19:37

First episode I watched which wasn't until around series 3/4 but I have watched them all from the beginning since. We watched the full 15 while I was pregnant and then feeding all evening.

Oh, I love ER.

ems1910 · 30/04/2015 19:38

Movin.

Clever! :)

Gileswithachainsaw · 30/04/2015 19:39

I like teh part where Romano wrote "not this one idiots" on his arm to make sure they removed the right one.

and the line someone says " he must have really pissed off a helicopter in a previous life"

and when weaver opened the Romano gay and lesbian clinic.

that was hilarious Grin

TheEagle · 30/04/2015 19:39

broomy, I remember watching that episode so clearly. Me and my sister were tucked up in my bed watching and the next thing the propellor of the helicopter went "whoomph"! Talk about shock!

cruikshank · 30/04/2015 19:41

NickiFury, that was the first (pilot?) episode, wasn't it? Carol's suicide I mean.

siblingrevelryagain, excellent choice of names! Grin

That Midnight episode was definitely a cracking one, but so many of them were! And to think, until then hospital dramas had looked like Casualty ...

TheEagle · 30/04/2015 19:41

That's it - we are moving house next week or so and my ER DVDs will have to come out of the box and my twins will be fed to the sound of Dr. Ross soothing sick babies Grin

SeattleGraceMercyDeath · 30/04/2015 19:51

'You set the tone'... Sniff.

Moln · 30/04/2015 20:09

Ah you lot recall so much detail!!

I'm not sure which series I missed to to tvlessness, but I didn't see too much of Luca, well I know the character, but miss a lot of his story

I'm going to have to get it and re watch all aren't i!!!!

Lweji · 30/04/2015 20:10

Luca was the best part in the whole of ER.

nickdrakeslovechild · 30/04/2015 20:17

Loved ER, The episode directed by tarantino was funny with them waking down the corridor with the ray bans on. Carter - oh Carter ,how I loved you!

TheEagle · 30/04/2015 20:20

moln, if you missed Luka then it's your duty to watch it again and learn all about him!

He's very yummy. He's no Carter but he is rugged Smile

Gileswithachainsaw · 30/04/2015 20:23

yy to Luka. him and gates were just mmmmmmm

Moln · 30/04/2015 20:24

Oh I didn't miss of him. I know who his is, and relationships but I know there was stuff about his family I missed. I also have no idea about the Africa thing.

Though you are absolutely right it is my duty!!

TheDailyWail · 30/04/2015 20:25

I loved all the men on e.r.

TheDailyWail · 30/04/2015 20:26

And Dr Weaver, gosh she was amazing!!

Doilooklikeatourist · 30/04/2015 20:26

I loved ER from the first episode

If not now , when .. one of the greatest lines ever

Casualty ... no contest

TheEagle · 30/04/2015 20:26

I loved the episode Blood Sugar Sex Magic where they had to go to a sexual harassment seminar and Luka and Carter end up fencing!

TheEagle · 30/04/2015 20:27

For completeness

ER - when does it 'hook you'
blibblibs · 30/04/2015 20:33

ER was/is my most favourite tv programme, ever. I used to tape it, yep on a video recorder, for a woman at work who couldn't stay awake until 10pm so we weren't allowed to discuss it at work until Friday and she'd watched it Smile

DH bought me the first series on DVD for my birthday last year.

Jackiebrambles · 30/04/2015 20:37

What a great thread. God I loved ER so much. It pisses all over greys anatomy!

The characters were so believable and I had such affection for them even the smaller/bit part people like the receptionist etc.

Am so excited it's on Amazon prime, am 4 weeks away from maternity leave and my night feed watching is now sorted!!

DragonWithAGirlTattoo · 30/04/2015 20:37

i'm still hanging in there, season 1 - ep 13,...its growing on me? a bit

OP posts:
Jackiebrambles · 30/04/2015 20:38

And a young Clooney as Dr Doug Ross, pediatric doctor no less. Be still my beating heart!

Mama1980 · 30/04/2015 20:56

I just remembered I used to have a series guide book thing, it only covered the first three series but I used to take it into school and we'd read it (when skiving off Blush) and discuss the whole thing.
Storm drain episode has to be my favourite, then the 2 with the Lucy/Carter thing, love the way Benton comes charging in to Carter......
Is this on Amazon prime? I can't find it.
