I'm ready for Bethany to bugger off back to Italy now.

If she could take Les Dennis, Michelle, Tracey-Luv, Jazz-Hands, Chesney, Sinead, the chicken man and his entire family, and Rita I would be very grateful.

is that women played by Melanie Hill pregnant?

do you think Erika being pregnant a bit implausible

woodhill · 25/06/2015 18:11

sorry I meant homeless for MelanieSmile

Jo4040 · 25/06/2015 18:56

All the kids were probs at Emily's. She's like third babysitter on the street. It's totally realistic that a woman as old as Emily can watch everyone's kids. I bet her house is well fun with all them table mats under lamps n vases. HoIw come we never really see the bedrooms? We should have more scenes in them, I'd love to see were gail sleeps for example and Mary. Who has seen the film Misery? Mary's bedroom (in her campervan) probs resembles the scene in Misery where the incredibly tidy, organised nutritious cooking cook, is lied in bed like a fat slob, eating cheesywatsits from a bowl and watching shit telly whilst slugging from a 2 L bottles of coke. And probs farting under the sheets.

Was there any point to the T-shirt story? In last night's episode Dev, Julie and Tulisa were at yoga, Mary was in the pub ... Asda and Aldi must have been left alone. Also Ty and Fiz were in the pub, so what did they do with Hope and Ruby?

No point whatsoever to the tshirt story, just filling time as far as I could see.

I figure the taxi driver who minded Hope and Ruby outside the house, all through the scenes, on the night that Fiz returned, probably offered to help again, any time they wanted to go out Grin

Poor Emily, she must be exhausted at this stage. Grin

AnguaResurgam · 25/06/2015 19:51

The character played by Melanie Hill is Cathy.

And my theory is that her late husband's illness bankrupted them, and that she is hidden homeless.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 25/06/2015 20:15

You would think Emily would have been put off babysitting for life after getting her head caved in babysitting for Ashley & Maxine.

Agree the pg is implausible - in soaps people always get pg on ONS.
I remember when I was TTC I found it quite heartbreaking how casually soaps & films dealt with pg. Sad

MrsUltracrepidarian · 25/06/2015 20:28

(Tho' TBF in 'The Archers' was hypocritically disappointed that Rob was not the father of his ex-DW baby via ONS Grin)

Wishful80sMontage · 26/06/2015 08:09

Very true mrsultra and considering how many people struggle to conceive I don't think it's very well represented in dramas/and soaps in general (but I only watch corrir ATM so happy to be corrected).
Did anyone watch celebs on benefits last night it had the guy who played les battersby on- he's on the dole now. It showed him watching corrir he said he'd love to be back on it. Why did he get sacked in the first place?

Wingedharpy · 26/06/2015 09:57

I think it was drink related Wishful.
He was drinking and was supposed to have had a drunken rant about fellow co-stars from Corrie and he also told anyone who was listening, the verdict in the Tracey Barlow murder trial.
I think it was the plot reveal that did for him!

differentnameforthis · 26/06/2015 11:09

Erika & Nick weren't a ONS, were they?

SymphonyofShadows · 26/06/2015 11:36

No, it was a short term fling as she was going back to Spain.

woodhill · 26/06/2015 12:16

I wish Les would come back, won't Corrie give him another chance. He would be quite a refreshing character and it would work as he had come back to support Leanne

Wishful80sMontage · 26/06/2015 12:55

Agree woodhill i 'd like to see him return and any other the other battersbys

LineRunner · 26/06/2015 13:23

Toyah ended up with Danny Baldwin in Law and Order: UK, I think.

Clawdy · 26/06/2015 14:56

Nooo! not Les back! He was such an awful actor.....

theliverpoolone · 26/06/2015 15:17

Leanne did struggle to conceive, with Peter, iirc. I think they were at the point of seeing a doctor when he went off with Carla.

hildasmuriel · 26/06/2015 17:53

I saw real life Les recently, he was totally desperate to be recognised.

DocHollywood · 26/06/2015 19:12

No to Les Battersby! He's got such a depressing persona. Also I will get muddled up between him and Les Dennis as I think they look very similar

southeastdweller · 26/06/2015 19:23

Bruce Jones was a crap actor. I'm surprised they kept him in for so long.

AgathaChristie01 · 26/06/2015 19:25

I read an article about Les. Things have turned out badly for him. I don't think they would have him back.

Listmaker · 26/06/2015 20:52

Would you really need a microphone in the Rovers? It's tiny!!

theliverpoolone · 26/06/2015 23:54

I know, Listmaker! "Can you hear me at the back?" - there was no one further away than the tables in front of the bar Grin

charlie0123 · 26/06/2015 23:57

What colour is Andrea?

RedandYellow24 · 26/06/2015 23:57

It was sad, I wanted Tim to keep the baby. I window what the plan is for her now?
Why is Amy always holding someone's hand she's 10/11 walking down the street outside her own house most 10y olds I know would run I mile!
Cathy must be living in her she's or something equally wild they are making it obvious enough.
