I'm ready for Bethany to bugger off back to Italy now.

If she could take Les Dennis, Michelle, Tracey-Luv, Jazz-Hands, Chesney, Sinead, the chicken man and his entire family, and Rita I would be very grateful.

Oh no, Carla's clothes! Shock I am/was very jealous of that lovely black and ivory feather print top from Warehouse that she had, tried to get it online after seeing it on Corrie but never could...

She has lovely clothes Envy

I didn't get where Bethany and Sarah and Gail were either. All this bring Michael over like worrying where your stepson now is will not be stressful with Gail!

NoMontagues · 29/05/2015 00:25

eddie they were at Audrey's and Gavin took Les Dennis there too. As far as I could gather.

NoMontagues · 29/05/2015 00:28

You have just written a load of crap

TV is supposed to be relaxing - that was anything but! Kal and Leanne were so stupid they both deserved to burn - persuasive talking to a child in those circumstances was so ridiculous, and then standing having a chat at the top of the ladder, well, unbelievable.

A quick kick to break a padlock - really!

Jenny hanging around all day, rather than just going as soon as she had Jack - just why?

Corrie - you are bloody frustrating this week - unrealistic. I can just imagine Michelle saying 'of course I don't mind missing my wedding reception, so that I can toddle off to Spain for a week'.

Pyjamaramadrama · 29/05/2015 09:31

Last nights was so ridiculous.

Actually all weeks were ridiculous.

Tyrone running off to the garage to get some tools?

Why didn't Kal or Leanne just pick Amy up and climb over the ladder? Why did Kal and Leanne take so long to climb over once Amy was down?

There wasn't really any need to kill Kal off in that way. He was the last annoying out of his family and I just don't believe that he'd have been waiting around on that balcony.

Sally wouldn't have been so horrible as to tell Tim to get someone else to hold the ladder.

The Jenny storyline is ridiculous.

Who is writing this crap? I'm a loyal Corrie fan but come on.

I think that the best acting atm is from David and Max and quite touching in their scenes together.

Pyjamaramadrama · 29/05/2015 09:36

The Tracy thing was unbelievable too, her and Tony I can believe, her plotting to steal the pub. But all of a sudden she never really liked Tony anyway and was using him to get the pub. She was already having the affair long before there was ever a mention of getting the pub. Before Steve even knew about his debt and Tony lending him the money.

It all stinks of 'they woke up and it was all a dream'.

SymphonyofShadows · 29/05/2015 10:00

Carla's clothes will mysteriously reappear like Stella's did after the pub fire

AgathaChristie01 · 29/05/2015 10:14

The David and Max scenes are good. The Maddie and Jenny scenes were ridiculous.
The rest was laughable. Nobody, even in soapland, would pause on a ladder, like Leanne did, saying 'yes' to a proposal, while both of their lives were in such danger.
I agree that Kal was the least tiresome of his family, that's not much of an accolade, but it's the best I can do.
One of the many ways that Corrie is going wrong, IMO, is that there are no surprise twists. If we hadn't known Kal was leaving, having him die in the fire would have had a bit of shock value.
I presume this will eventually lead into Carla leaving, I know she isn't due to go until next year. I am afraid that she won't return. Sad She is one of my favourite characters. She makes scenes believable, which is quite a feat with most of the storylines.

woodhill · 29/05/2015 10:45

couldn't Kal and Leanne had a happy ending and moved away taking Simon. more weeks of misery instead

eddiemairswife · 29/05/2015 11:23

There has been enough crammed into a week's episodes to last 6 months if the stories had been properly planned and allowed to develop sensibly.

MrsUltracrepidarian · 29/05/2015 11:37

So much for Kal being ' a soldier, and a good one' if that is the standard of the army, god help us all.

DocHollywood · 29/05/2015 11:57

One, possibly two, funerals and also Deirdre's. I think it's too much, I'd rather them write characters out. I liked Leanne and Kal. Couldn't they just have had a quiet wedding and then have him 'working away'. And then we don't have to see Simon for months because he will be 'staying with Kal'.

DocHollywood · 29/05/2015 12:03

Agree about letting things develop slowly. Both Kal/Leanne and Maddie/Sophie are in serious relationships so we didn't need full-blown, discussing the future scenes this week being used as a device to make the fall-out from the fire more crushing. It's so blindingly obvious the scriptwriters are into bite-size melodrama and it's insulting to the viewers. Hrrumph

AgathaChristie01 · 29/05/2015 12:30

According to Corrie's Facebook page, there will be a lot of storylines involving the Nazir family following on from Kal's death.
Hmm. I think I may have to take a break from Corrie viewing.

I'm enjoying this week, mostly because a lot of of it is so bad. Possibly Leanne pausing on the ladder was one of the most ridiculous things I've seen. How did Kal think of suggesting a ladder, when everyone on the ground was just standing about with their mouths open! Tim turned into a real hero, breaking open the builders yard, and holding the ladder. I love Tim anyway, one of the best in it.

Some good acting from the usual people, especially Alison King, some hilarious holes in the fire storyline. And where the heck is Tony? I know Liz told him not to come back, but he was a long, long time gone by then. Stuck on the ring road somewhere? Grin

differentnameforthis · 29/05/2015 12:55

I can understand Sally telling Tim not to hold the ladder, she was concerned that part of the building would collapse & that he would be hurt...so yeah, that is believable. Who would want their other half at risk like that? I mean, some of us probably wouldn't say it..but we would be thinking "oh shit...what if..." etc.

And Sally isn't actually THAT community minded unless it is beneficial to her.

Misslgl88 · 29/05/2015 13:36

What actually happened to Jenny Bradley's son? Has she said yet? I agree I feel heart sorry for david I really do and for all his bad points he's been amazing with max.

mrsultra that did make me giggle Grin

SymphonyofShadows · 29/05/2015 15:14

All we know about Jenny's son (if it was her son) is that he was called Tom and that he died

Misslgl88 · 29/05/2015 15:57

Argh I'm dying to find out what happened and for her to get found out she grates a bit

SymphonyofShadows · 29/05/2015 16:27

I think it must be tonight. I reckon she'll get a slap from Sawphie

ProfYaffle · 29/05/2015 18:15

"Possibly Leanne pausing on the ladder was one of the most ridiculous things I've seen." yyy to this! I could cope with most of the other plot holes but that one had me yelling at the telly.

DocHollywood · 29/05/2015 19:13

I felt sorry for the actress, she must have known how ridiculous it wasShock

Housemum · 29/05/2015 19:54

Isn't the whole Jenny trying to silence Maddie while the street is on fire just a rehash of Stape burying the body while the tram crash happens story? And wasn't the whole Mad Maya thing resolved during another fire? What is it, the psychos come out when they smell burning?
