I'm ready for Bethany to bugger off back to Italy now.

If she could take Les Dennis, Michelle, Tracey-Luv, Jazz-Hands, Chesney, Sinead, the chicken man and his entire family, and Rita I would be very grateful.

He took Steve and Michelle to the airport so either the flight was diverted to Heathrow or he was another victim of the ring road closure.

desperatehousewife21 · 28/05/2015 20:09

Lol at victim of the ring road closure!

Valsoldknickers · 28/05/2015 21:18

Did anyone notice Tim busting through the chain and padlock to open the builder's yard? Did I miss something or does he have super strength?!

That Tracey Barlow wants locking up Angry

Wishful80smontage · 28/05/2015 21:24

And maddie too!

Wishful80smontage · 28/05/2015 21:24

That's Jenny's secret safe for now then

cailineile · 28/05/2015 21:26

why has Jenny not legged it in taxi, which somehow got through the cordon??
And why has nobody at other end of street noticed fire / explosions / drama?

qazxc · 28/05/2015 21:26

DP would like to give kudos to writers and Kal for sticking to Health and safety guidelines of only one person on the ladder at a time (even in times of mortal peril).

Valsoldknickers · 28/05/2015 21:30

No more Jimi Mistry then Sad he was my bit of eye candy....

Wishful80smontage · 28/05/2015 21:31

qaz lol I did think the same.
All going on now then tomo's looks good like a Leanne/Carla bust up

Chipstick10 · 28/05/2015 21:33

Tracy Barlow pinning everything on Carla. Oh yawn. How original . Sick of Barlow. Ridiculous character. Whats the point.? She's not a sympathetic character or even a little bit vulnerable . She's a pantomime baddie . With the same storyline surrounding her over and over again. Carla gets the blame . Yawn

Redglitter · 28/05/2015 21:35

WELL! I didn't see that coming. I liked him

Ellenora5 · 28/05/2015 21:36

It's going to be so tedious now with all the blame being heaped on Carla, and zeedan blaming Leanne whilst Tracy won't feel one bit guiltyguilty about any of it.

Also how quick was Leanne using the word fiancé, she only said yes two minutes before hand, anyway she will be engaged to someone else by Halloween.

Mrscaindingle · 28/05/2015 21:36

quaxc Grin

DS2 and I were shouting at them to get down the bloody ladder! And stopping on said ladder for longing looks and marriage proposals - preposterous!

southeastdweller · 28/05/2015 21:46

Hopefully the Nazir family will be so tormented by grief they'll leave the street never to return...I hope.

woodhill · 28/05/2015 21:54

seemed to take an awfully long time to go down the ladder, once Amy was down they seemed to dawdle.

No fire escape in building? No other residents coming to help Carla or bringing other fire extinguishers.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/05/2015 21:59

The ladder scenes were a joke.

OP posts:
Clawdy · 28/05/2015 22:03

Badly written, badly acted....Tracy's half-hearted calling "Amy!" then Liz's silly plea...It was all totally unmoving.

RedandYellow24 · 28/05/2015 22:07

If your in a flat on fire and there's a gas cylinder surely u would throw it over the edge! Instead of leaving it explode next to you.

Agree whole ladder thing was stupid I know people are scared but I'm sure flames licking your legs would somehow spur you into action.
The ladder could have easily held leanna and Amy they not going to weigh as much as kal! Altogether frustrating.
When Tim was holding the lady Sally telling him to leave, you wouldn't do that would you? Not while a child is on way down

AgathaChristie01 · 28/05/2015 22:08

Also how quick was Leanne using the word fiancé, she only said yes two minutes before hand, anyway she will be engaged to someone else by Halloween.

Long before Halloween, I'd say Grin.
I'm afraid I was amused at a lot of it. I had guessed correctly that Kal would die. I wish the family would leave the Street now. Of course they won't.
Couldn't figure how Jenny managed to keep Maddie cornered for as long as she did. I kept waiting for Maddie to remember skills she must have had in her previous life!

southeastdweller · 28/05/2015 22:14

Yes the ladder scenes were contrived - who in real life would take ages getting down a ladder and wait for the ladder to be free before climbing it when the building they're in is about to be go up in flames?

Sally has a nasty side but I agree she wouldn't have told Tim to leave - such crap writing.

I wasn't impressed with the Jenny and Maddie stuff either - all too 'Hand that Rocks the Cradle' for me...couldn't take it seriously at all.

sweetkitty · 28/05/2015 22:20

How bad was that? Kal could have lifted Amy up in a fire mans lift and got her out there fast. They whole ladder thing was a joke. In fact most of Corrie is a joke, Kylies back tomorrow whoohoo ConfusedConfused

DocHollywood · 28/05/2015 22:42

Agree about the gas cylinder. He threw a table over earlier which I didn't really understand, was it alight?

I have to say I was shocked when the balcony went up. Very effective. Kal there one minute and gone the next.

Hate the way that Jenny lives to fight another day, although her nasty/nice character was quite well done tonight. Reminiscent of Kirsty in her heyday!
The actress who plays Sophie was really good when they couldn't get a response from Maddie, very realistic I thought. I don't want Maddie to go now, I didn't like her to start with but they are good as a couple.

Come on Kylie! Kick Callum out of Corrie for good!

eddiemairswife · 28/05/2015 22:50

Hilarious episode. Where was Ken when his grand daughter was in mortal danger? How did the fire spread so fiercely? Every single window in that block had flames leaping from them. Most unrealistic.

theliverpoolone · 28/05/2015 23:17

Leanne should have got onto the ladder first, with Amy then coming down after her so Leanne could support her from behind - if it wasnt being set up for Kal's exit of course. And yes, where was Ken?? (Ah, just remembered didn't he take Simon home.....?)

Hope Jenny gets found out quickly now - don't think I can bear that storyline dragging on any longer.

eddiemairswife · 28/05/2015 23:44

Where will everyone live now? I suppose Nick will go home to mum. Perhaps Sarah and Bethany have been incinerated in Nick's flat, so we needn't worry about them. Carla will have no clothes. Couldn't understand where Gail was or where Gavin was going to take Michael.
