So we know that Kat and Alfie don't actually go to Spain seeing they are getting a spin off in Ireland they just arent that interesting so I wonder what test results it could be that prevents them from being able to go to Spain? I did think HIV? Apparently it's the biggest thing Alfie had to deal with in is 13 years in the show. Bigger than all the other crap they have been through! Oh and we'll know but Kat won't.

Shabnam didn't tell Stacey she was reluctant, she was embarrassed about it and said Dean was drunk and wouldn't remember although clearly he does. I wonder if she was 'willing'. Alfie - Maybe they did an MRI and discovered that Alfie is actually a miracle of nature - the first man to be able to live without a brain

Shabs was quite westernised & went to clubs, including doing some pole-dancing at one point. Her character back then was very different. I didn't think it had happened after she left, I thought she said that's why she left - so no-one would find out.

My guess with Alfie was going to be prostate cancer - they didn't feel like they'd made enough of a thing about Stan & now want to show that younger men can get it too.

Cathy has got to either be witness protection or memory loss. I assumed Gavin was the man she was on the run from & Phil was checking that she thought he didn't know she was still alive. Twas a loooong time ago though, my memory of what happened at the time is somewhat hazy!

I thought she moved to South Africa to get away from Phil and to keep Ben away from Phil.
Shabs was different, she used to go out with her head covered and then get changed while she was out

I think Alfie going to have an aneurism or something deadly but invisible that could strike him down down any second or leave him as is for years. He won't be able to tell Kat as she is finally approaching happiness after all those years of misery so will have to back peddle on the Spanish dream (uninsurable) & decide to move to Ireland to find Kats long list Irish roots (and unknown twin son).

Carcinogenic bricks . An asbestos storyline would suit Alfie. He does seem to have that "killing you slowly" effect on me whenever he's onscreen.
