It didn't have one when it was Booty...
Maybe it only appears if you really need it too.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 05/06/2015 10:52

Yes look sometimes it's vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/eastenders/images/f/fa/Booty1.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150509125015

Other times it's vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/eastenders/images/1/1e/TheAlbert2014.png/revision/latest?cb=20150117193620

They must stick the Balcony up only when the scene requires it.

SoupDragon · 05/06/2015 11:20

They can't just stick it up though as the whole top storey would have to be shrunk and moved back. However, this is EE and they can resurrect the dead...

Jasonandyawegunorts · 05/06/2015 11:26

What have we just seen?

My theory is the 5th doctor did something to the top story dimensions, so it only has a balcony from the inside.

It looks like they just fix up some scaffolding and hope no one on forums notices.

LineRunner · 05/06/2015 12:33

Maybe the balcony only exists when it's being observed.

SoupDragon · 05/06/2015 12:44

The balcony seems to have appeared during the construction of the Albert. I think they've extended the front out so that the doorway is recessed and the balcony is on top.

bookwormbeagle · 05/06/2015 14:08

When Johnny was working at the Albert he opened up early one night and let Abby, jay, Ben and co in for drinks - seem to remember them all hiding upstairs on the balcony when Sharon turned up unexpectedly.

SoupDragon · 05/06/2015 18:55

Why did they write Johnny out?

everythingsgoingsouth · 05/06/2015 20:31

who is the father of Cindys baby, totally forgotten..?

QueenFuri · 05/06/2015 20:33

TJ he lives with Bianca, I really felt for Cindy at the end though.

adrianna22 · 05/06/2015 20:36

I didn't feel sorry for Cindy at all!

How dare she blackmail them.

She knows Ian and Jane would be perfect parents to Beth. But she didn't care, she wanted her gone.

oneowlgirl · 05/06/2015 20:41

I agree with you Adrianna - she's been a spoilt little brat from she came into it & has been manipulative all along. I guess they're making her to be like her mum Grin

southeastdweller · 05/06/2015 20:45

She really is a selfish brat. No pity at all here! Ian was very good to her taking her in in the first place - she's not even a blood relative to him. Blackmailing the two people who've given her tons of support was beyond the pale. And if Jane and Ian had said no then her own brother would have his life destroyed.

I'd like to see the back of her but I guess she'll stay with Carol for a short while before being reunited with the Beale's.

The actress is crap too (but good in the anniversary week).

LittleBearPad · 05/06/2015 21:07

The problem with cindy is that each time she screams no ones listening to her she doesn't actually know or say what she wants. She just has a strop.

Fakebook · 05/06/2015 21:10

Yes I agree, she's been a manipulative trouble maker since she came into it. Boohoo her mum died, but that's no excuse and doesn't give you a free ticket to go around being rude to people who are genuinely helping you. I assume that's why her aunt doesn't want her back either.

If the girl gets her acting sorted out, she could be on the road to becoming a good villain like Janine. She grew up in similar circumstances as Cindy.

I don't understand why is it unbelievable that Sharon's dad might be a bum? Why did she/everyone assume he'd be someone rich? She's hasn't ever been well off unless she's married to a rich man. Did Phil even give her a real address this time?

CrapBag · 05/06/2015 21:13

I really hate Cindy and have zero sympathy for her. Did she honestly think she could tantrum about, threaten and blackmail Ian and Jane and they'd welcome her back into the house with open arms! I don't blame Ian one bit for kicking her out. She deserved it and they owe her the total sum of fuck all given she isn't even related to them.

Poor Beth having to live with total strangers over a loving family where she was wanted.

CrapBag · 05/06/2015 21:16

I thought that about the address. Phil's smile seemed a little odd. Did he just count on Sharon not wanting to be part of a rich family? And who said her birth dad would want to know anyway.

Wasn't he supposed to have been a mate of Den's? I thought Den specifically asked to adopt Sharon.

Oh and I though Pam didn't do an assisted suicide? They definitely alluded to that she lied about that before.

SoupDragon · 05/06/2015 21:53

I feel sorry for Cindy. She made a decision to have Beth adopted and
Ian and Jane railroaded her into agreeing to let them adopt her.n- they bullied her into it She never wanted to because she knew she would end up still doing Baby stuff. she never wanted it but no one listened.

Mmbop · 05/06/2015 22:05

Yeah I felt really bad for cindy too! Used to like jane but hated her this episode Angry all over Beth calling her her baby and her little girl, erm she's not your child Hmm it makes perfect sense that someone who wants their child placed for adoption wouldn't want her to keep living with her... That's the point. Never mind if you'd just found out the last child they raised murdered his big sister. And Ian and Jane swing between 'she's family, she's better off with us she's our family' and 'but not you cindy, you're nothing to do with us'. How is she your family then?! They did bully her soup it just felt so emotionally manipulative.
But yeah I agree the actress is crap, weird because she was actually good in the anniversary week.

RedandYellow24 · 05/06/2015 22:07

I may have enjoyed large glass of wine earlier and missed cyptic clues when new guy was talking to pan. What is the mystery? Why was she upset and what do we think she thinks it is?!

ElizabethG81 · 05/06/2015 22:19

Ian and Jane are hideous, and I agree they're really contradictory over Cindy not really being related, but not being able to let go of Beth because she's faaaaaamily. Jane basically just wants a baby, and Ian wants to replace Lucy. Neither of them are thinking about Cindy, who's a teenager with no "real faaaaamily" of her own, who's recently found out her half-sister's half-brother murdered her, and is being pressurised into both covering that up and letting her baby be adopted by this pair of idiots.

Going against the grain but I actually like Cindy and despise Ian and Jane.

I think that Cindy is a confused and messed up teen, I think Jane is basically turning into a nutjob who just wants a child, anyone's child. I've hated them since they covered for Bobby after killing Lucy.

Ian had no room to talk criticising Bianca, Ian and Jane have only been back together 5 minutes and would have been guaranteed to mess Beth up, how many wives has Ian had?

Terry was a decent guy when he was in it and TJ is actually Beth's dad.

I'm not sure there will be much of a part for Cindy now that Beth's gone.

I wish Gordon had been Sharon's dad he was hilarious.

southeastdweller · 06/06/2015 08:13

They didn't pressure Cindy to help cover-up the killing of Lucy, Cindy willingly went along with it...until this week, nearly four months later, when it made sense to her to use it against them to get her own way.

TJ showed no interest in Beth when he was in the square and Terry inferred yesterday that's still the case. Jane and Ian are more suited to raise Beth but Cindy just wants rid.

I was practically cheering on Ian last night when he gave Cindy what for at Carol's house.

SoupDragon · 06/06/2015 08:23

Cindy is a 16 yr old, who has been struggling with her baby and is most likely suffering from PND. No one is listening to her and no one cares about her at all - Jane even knows she left Beth in the park to get away from her but has done nothing to help her get treatment or support.

I think it's sad that people think she deserves what Ian has done to her (and Jane to a lesser extent).
