Soz got diverted by Reading v Arsenal FA Cup semi final and not amused that BK secreted my CJ homing device inside Arsene Wengers front pleat. A totally wasted trip to Wembley thinking CJ was a Gunner! On the other hand, very relieved CJ wasn't actually wrinkly with an amazing head of uncannily dark hair and a French accent after all.

Keep eyes peeled orphan I'm feeling your hot flush already. Check out my CJ doppelgänger waiters and bar staff...

Am already for my night with CJ. Am sparkly clean, wine and beer are chilling in fridge.

oh and orphan i have indeed had my share of complete asses, but AT will testify I like to share my oats fairly. Hee-aw, hee-aw, hee-always tells me so anyway. sorry if I'm being mulish about this but it needs to be said

Hi all. Check in at Schiphol is all self-service now. CJ had no chance to woo the check in staff and got a bit moody when he couldn't wangle us another upgrade but we calmed him down. Once on board one of the stewards took a shine to him and plied him with wine. My friend had wine too so there was only me sober as I was driving us home.

ice we did the handover with BK so hope CJ got over his strop and that three mini bottles of wine don't impede his performance. I think the Dutch steward was after CJ's phone number but we whisked him away just in time.

Oh ice I do hope you haven't wasted your time preparing for CJs visit and he hasn't been cut off in the cul-de-sac...

CJ just arrived, he's been checked over and is definitely the right one
He said he enjoyed Amsterdam but is glad to be back in Manchester (I knew he couldn't stay away)

Suspect CJ is being slightly economical with the truth ice. Bet he didn't tell you how inspired he was in the red light area and how long we practised his ideas in our staff meeting later in the afternoon?!

He did say he had something new to show me....

I've had one of those days today (broken down car, grumpy DH, knee in the face from DD) so just settling down with ep 3 ... Coco pops, come back to me, jealous CJ! Saving ff for bed! :)

Oh poor you Nickel. I am sure the sight of CJ will help you feel better and he'll be with you in person before long (note to self: need to update the tour schedule in case other ladies are wanting to join in).

Back (sadly) to RL now. Washing all done but will need to think about ironing tomorrow, or Monday, or sometime....

It's true about what I posted earlier about the check in at Schiphol. How self-service check ins which are very time consuming and you have to read the instructions can improve the experience, I have no idea. The KLM staff assumed everyone knew what they were doing (I felt sorry for any first time air travellers confronted with that) and were less than keen to offer assistance. Not only that, but the terminal was being revamped and the shopping (which has always been superb in the past) was pretty rubbish. We'd arrived at the airport early with a view to shopping so were a bit fed up about that.

PS: great chapter Jen. I deliberately didn't read any of the MN ff when I was away as my friend has a habit of nattering at the wrong moment, so it's been a great treat to look forward to.

Will collect CJ from ice during tomorrow in prep for his move to mummyr and believe he is in your charge until Friday! Think he could be really useful in calming the nerves in readiness for your interview - good luck with that!!

ilove glad to hear that the Amsterdam trip went to plan!
An update of the CJ itinerary would be useful for logistics planning (foiling of woofs antics) - variety helps to keep it fresh for CJ as well !!

R/L calling - have to meet the MIL for a late Easter lunch tomorrow, followed by the regulation walk - went away for Easter so thought we had got out of this one - no such luck!!

Managed to spend the afternoon revisiting some OG clips on youtube and rereading some of the superb FF - was supposed to be working, now sitting up late catching up!! As they say all work and no play etc

Ice Enjoy CJ lucky you. I am a tad worried that he might need some R&R to recharge his batteries! A mini spa break, but the location would need to be kept secret, orphan would go in with her chair disguise, a massage one probably, God only knows what woof would be.....

nickle hope today is a better one. DS came in 3rd for his steeplechase but is back is not good. They have physios there so showed him a few exercises. And yes marathon next week!
