Wow, TG seems to be establishing a Sunday night tradition! Enjoy your drinks ice sounds well deserved - it's exactly the task I need to do but have been putting off for too long Hmm

I'm in my pyjamas already - it's a freezing, grey, miserable day here! ilove definitely pack a jumper, think Edinburgh is even colder than Glasgow.

Planning on watching the C word at 9pm, not sure if it'll be too unbearably sad, but I do love Sheridan Smith.

icemistOBE · 03/05/2015 19:51

I'm going to watch that and record Home Fires- I like Sheridan Smith too.
Just need to order bunk beds now.

Onlygirljen · 03/05/2015 19:58

Aah, I've just realised it's on at 8.30, not 9. Thank god for sky plus - now just need the kids to settle down for the night!

My plan is to get bunk beds too, but need to get youngest sleeping a bit better first, he's way too restless to share with his brother yet. Still getting up 2+ times with him and ending up sleeping with him most of the time Confused

pixieg1rl · 03/05/2015 20:08

I need some icemist organisation skills. I've got so much crap to get rid of I don't know where to start I need to get DS out of the toddler bed soon (the trip to ikea was supposed to solve this, now MrP wants to get the bed somewhere else)

icemistOBE · 03/05/2015 20:13

L isn't 2 till July but has slept in the bed with K for the past couple of nights. Won't get in his cot. So hoping the bunk beds will solve that and his fondness for sleeping in our bed too.

Mine are in bunk beds tonight, at my mums. So far they have been in their own bed, swapped beds, both been in the top bunk, both been in the bottom, both back on the top, I lost my temper, now back in their their own beds .... and both moaning they are too hot (hardly surprising all the climbing up and down ladders!!!)! They don't usually share a room (thankfully!). I do now need to get DS a proper size bed at home though, as he only just fits in his 'child' size bed ... He's only 8!!!

I'm missing both of those programs but hopefully they will both be recording for me. I think they both look really good, hopefully.

Richtea19 · 03/05/2015 20:26

I'm recording C word and goi g to watch Home Fires.

Well done ice for sorting out bedrooms, we did the garage today, and now have a car load for the dump tomorrow! So nice that we can actually walk into it rather than a dumping ground!

My two where in bunk beds for years, it's just a hard job making their beds, climbing up and tucking in duvets etc, in the end I didn't bother, there were so many teddys you couldn't see an unmade bed. I remember my sister and I had bunk beds when we were little. The springs were exposed and as I was on the bottom bunk when I sat up all my hair got caught in the springs!

Nickel45 · 03/05/2015 20:40

I had that too richtea hair caught in the springs! Don't think they are like that any more. The ones my mum has, gave wooden slats, much more health and safety conscious ... but no good for hooking things into to hang things from!!

Ilovelblue · 03/05/2015 21:31

Painted so sorry to hear about your dog. It's very hard when they are part of the family and there's a big hole in everyone's life. Losing a cat is hard, but losing a dog is worse as they're more of a "friend" than a cat is. I feel for you. xx

Ilovelblue · 03/05/2015 21:42

Had a lovely day shopping in Manchester (the rain did clear up fortunately on our way into the city centre). Not sure if any of the north west based ladies on here have ever been to Cloud 23 at the Hilton on Deansgate but I was impressed. The views were spectacular. You can see bits of it at the back of the cake stand on the photo.

My friend paid for it as my belated birthday present. She has also been with me up to Edinburgh a couple of years ago so knows the apartment where we are staying. She was interested in our plans.......... how bad is this? The first thing which sprang to mind was taking CJ up to Edinburgh and him wearing a kilt. I had a complete mental block for a few seconds before RL plans came to mind. She would be totally, totally shocked if she knew about the obsession with CJ/OG!

I've been in the Cloud- it's amazing. Nighttime if fab with all the lights twinkling below.

Started watching The C then hubby said no, it's too depressing ( I did read it's funny too) pulled a face! So watched Police Acadeny 3 instead. Bloody men I bet CJ would of let me watch it!

Onlygirljen · 03/05/2015 22:06

Lucky you ilove, I've been to the Cloud for a drink on a trip to Manchester before - it was ace.

The C Word wasn't as depressing as I thought it would be. Thought it was beautifully done.

Wycombe123 · 03/05/2015 22:27

Looks like I may be waving at nickel and moojangles from the other end of Wembley!

Mumtothenipper · 03/05/2015 22:43

Sorry for your loss painted, I can only imagine your pain.

Just recovering from watching the c word. Beautiful acting. Lots of tears shed.

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2015 23:00

I'm afraid I avoided the C Word because I'm not good with real life drama. I read an article about it but just find these things so sad. I went with Home Fires which definitely isn't Shakespeare but really wasn't as bad as The Radio Times review made out - certainly no worse than Poldark. There did however, seem a heck of a lot of characters for a six part drama. I did get a bit confused about which woman was which. I assume they're hoping for a second series to carry on the story lines and as its ITV who unbelievably commissioned a fourth series of Mr Selfridge, they'll probably get it.

Ilovelblue · 03/05/2015 23:10

Rhubarb I didn't feel I wanted to be upset tonight so I opted for Home Fires too. I thought it was ok - nice and easy Sunday night telly - but like you, I got a bit mixed up as to which woman was which. I hope some of their individual stories will be revealed more next week. I started to wonder why ITV had 6 episodes as opposed to OG's 5, but then again, ITV is full of adverts.

I know we say this time and time again, but nothing has lived up to OG since last October.

Onlygirljen · 04/05/2015 09:20

Morning you lot - everybody having a lie in again?

ice you've inspired me - going to try and clear one of the boys rooms this morning, despite the fact that DH is at work (he doesn't get bank holidays). I'm either brave or incredibly stupid, think I know which.

Still thinking about the C Word from last night, beautiful performances all round. Definitely worth a watch for those of you who didn't.

Anybody up to anything exciting for a BH Monday?

Paintedcherryblossoms · 04/05/2015 09:21

Good morning thank you to everyone so much for your empathy and virtual hugs yesterday. Had a mope around day and then went to bed early feel a bit better after a good sleep. This is my gorgeous Lucy girl relaxing a few weeks back watching it rain outside. My son is making a memory board of photos so found this one whilst we were looking through the computer. She was a cutie Smile. Hope you all have a great bank holiday !

I'm sorting plants and doing more lsbrlling for our charity plant sale a week on Wednesday. At least it's sunny today. May go out on my bike later.

In my head however I'm preparing for CJ's visit on Wed then our trip up to Edinburgh on Thursday morning.

Lovely picture Painted. Do you think you may get another dog in time after the hurt has lessened?

Ilovelblue · 04/05/2015 09:41

Ooops that should say labelling.

Paintedcherryblossoms · 04/05/2015 09:49

My DH asked me that ilove and I said no but we will see. Maybe after a break I will feel different. Big effort today though to move onward and upward Smile and celebrate the fact we had her all that time.

icemistOBE · 04/05/2015 10:05

Morning.

Not too early a start. Littlest started off in his big brother's bed, we have wooden flooring in the room and after about 30 mins we heard one of them playing on the floor- was littlest. Put him back in the bed, 15 mins later we heard someone coming downstairs- yup littlest- hubby got him back upstairs tried him in his cot and 10 mins later was fast asleep!

No plans as such for today, we might go for a walk along the canal if sun stays out long enough.

Nickel45 · 04/05/2015 10:21

I have an exciting (not) morning driving round the m25. Hoping everyone else will be busy doing something else so I have a nice clear run! Had a great weekend though Smile but time to get home. Have a good day all!

Richtea19 · 04/05/2015 10:22

Beautiful photo painted. You will know when your ready for another fury friend.

I've been to the gym this morning quick cycle class, CJ loved it, a chance to get those legs out, definatley no spindly legs! We have sunshine here today and I hoping we can get out for a walk yesterday, the bluebells are all out so perhaps we will walk through the woods.

I'm not sure if I can watch the C word, I cry at adverts so this would be a nightmare!

WHAJEB1 · 04/05/2015 10:51

What a lovely photo painted - a memory board is a beautiful idea and hopefully in time will be cathartic xx

My two thankfully sleep in different bedrooms, when they are at my mums and sharing the eldest can't sleep due to the 7 year olds snoring!!! Also a decent age gap which is a bit of a nuisance as it would be so good if they could share.

I'm attempting to hit my pit after a nightshift but due to sun shining sleep ain't forthcoming. Have a good bank holiday everyone. X
