The eclipse was a total non-event here, so much cloud before & during that it was hard to tell if it was darker or not. Predictably, the sun came out about an hour later, so I have consoled myself with hanging washing out. As a memorial to badders's iron (RIP) I am letting my ironing pile grow. It will soon produce a more dramtaic eclipse of the sun than this morning's.
