As you were wenches... The bar is stocked up, the chaise is re-covered and ready for action, and all we have to do it... er. Wait until Friday.

Oi Mumsnet....where's the rest of my pics allowance. I've only put three up there ^ so far. Count 'em. Three.

BloodyElkFire · 20/03/2015 08:24

I have something of great beauty to share

FancyFancy · 20/03/2015 08:45

Morning.

Cloud cover here today, so will probably be watching the eclipse on the tv later.

But more importantly....it's Friday!!!!! DCs are at the ex's, so I hope to perve watch in peace.

Is it 9pm yet?

ApricotCrush · 20/03/2015 08:49

Morning all!

It's a beautiful day here. Do you think I can look, briefly, through three pairs of sunglasses? I'm going to anyway. I remember the 1999 one, DH set up a contraption on the terrace and we had beautiful little crescents of sun all over the place. It was magical. He's playing golf today! Serve him right if he loses his ball in the dark. Grin

Helen you mean you haven't got all the episodes recorded in HD already?? Shock I've still got 4 of them on the box from last season, although I've got the DVD.

Yay, TGIF. We'll have one day free to scour the internet before lock-down again. Sad

Morelikeguidelines · 20/03/2015 08:52

Friday!!!!!!!

Morning wenches.

Thick cloud cover here as well, even thicker than in 1999, boo his (actually last night I found out while reminiscing to dc that mum and dad had had a massive row on the last eclipse, that DH had actually been planning to propose that day and that's what he remembers the row being about whereas I cannot remember a proposal being mentioned at all and thought the row was about something else entirely. You live and learn. He never did propose, he just didn't object when I suggested we organise a wedding).

Anyway, thanks madame for the Welsh songtress. I introduced the dc to her over the breakfast table this morning. Golly, that video used to get my teenage heart racing and stomach flipping.

And thanks elk for the lovely decorations last night, how I missed their siren call I know not.

MadamedeChevreuse · 20/03/2015 09:17

IT LOOKS LIKE THE MOON!

Still cloudy here, off out to the garden to see if I can detect a bit of general darkening.

Is it 9pm yet?

See you later

LetUsPrey · 20/03/2015 09:20

Too cloudy here although it is going a bit dark

BloodyElkFire · 20/03/2015 09:21

Got a great view here. Found me specs from 1999 Grin. Sitting watching with the chimney man.

MadamedeChevreuse · 20/03/2015 09:25

Look!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 20/03/2015 09:25

There's an eclipse today???Confused

MiladyBeaWinter · 20/03/2015 09:29

Glorious day here. I'm ecliose watching in Tesco carpark with my makeshift pinhole camera. Bet Brian and Dara would not approve Grin

IssyStark · 20/03/2015 09:31

WW only a total eclipse in the Faroes but varying between 83-98% in the UK. It's live on the BBC/BBC World at the mo.

ApricotCrush · 20/03/2015 09:34

It's at its maximum here. It's not as dark as I thought it would be, just very gloomy. Don't do the three pairs of sunglasses thing, I've now got images of the sun with a chunk out of it wherever I look! I ought to know better, I've already had a cataract operation in one of my eyes.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/03/2015 09:35

Bugger all to see here - dark, cloudy and gloomy - that's all.
WW - I don't know if you get the eclipse where you are what with geography and all.
Issy - arf "I suggested we organise a wedding" I still maintain my proposal was DH on the phone saying "Do you want to get engaged", he insists it was a tiny bit more romantic (but not much).
Apricot - no. Limited space on sky box due to DS recording every bloody episode of his favourite programs and DH recording Sport to watch, plus multiple episodes of Fortitude that stacked up = no space to keep Musketeers (since I never get the chance to re-watch on TV anyway, what#s the point...) Am v. gutted that they've been on Iplayer for such a short time.
Elk what is this thing of great beauty? Send a link. (Or are you looking in the mirror Wink )

I must work.

Morning,

Nothing here. Very cloudy, rainy and gloomy.

MiladyBeaWinter · 20/03/2015 09:38

Very gloomy here, which is odd considering clear skies.

Think it's gone passed darkest point though, so am off into the store.

Humming Bonny Tyler.
