As you were wenches... The bar is stocked up, the chaise is re-covered and ready for action, and all we have to do it... er. Wait until Friday.

I was making a few general political comments too, so I think there were a few of us Smile.

Well done on booking that appt helen & good luck with yours mouse.

Like your Stars Wars comparison madame, I've been reminded of Indiana Jones - third film beter than the second one in that series!

I feel they've responded to the s1 critics this series - less 'A Team' & more serious stories, but as the main attraction wasn't the serious bits, I felt the critics had missed the point. Not all drama has to be drowning in gritty social realism to justify it's existence.

FancyFancy · 19/03/2015 13:10

Oh FFS sparks. I've never seen Star Wars either Shock

Morelikeguidelines · 19/03/2015 13:10

Yes I agree with sparkles - aramis has had best of s2.

That is probably why I have been enjoying it more.

At beginning of series 1 I was quite taken with both dog and athos and didn't really notice aramis til ktq (how could I be so foolish?)

FancyFancy · 19/03/2015 13:11

Flowers to badders for the iron. RIP.

Morelikeguidelines · 19/03/2015 13:11

Never seen star wars?

Are you very young (I.e. Under 30) those who are saying this?

FancyFancy · 19/03/2015 13:16

This is reason enough for a drama to exist. Nothing else needed.

Baddz · 19/03/2015 13:16

Didn't we decide which M were which SW characters early on last series? :)
Thank you for the sympathy wrt my iron.
I have ordered a black stealth iron.
It looks quite militaristc and scary...

BloodyElkFire · 19/03/2015 13:19
FancyFancy · 19/03/2015 13:20

Yes. Absolutely. I am very young, a mere slip of a thing. I am definitely not old enough to be Dog's mother.

(Ok, I'm just a contrary bugger really Grin)

BloodyElkFire · 19/03/2015 13:20

There you are my pretty

Just had a 1:15 phone call - phew. Am hungry now!

Yes - Madame's DS kicked off the Star Wars / Musketeer comparison I seem to remember. goodness knows when that was. Hmmm....

Madame's DS says:
Dog = han solo (his fave)
Aramis = luke (his 2nd fave)
Connie = princess leia
Milady = the emperor
Cardinal = darth vader
Porthos = lando calrissian
Athos = chewbacca.

He also calls their swords "metal light sabres" or "dingy sticks"

Badders says:
Athos is most def not chewbacca...that's obv porthos!,
Athos is Han
Dog is luke
Aramis is lando calrissian
Trev is obi wan
Cardinal obv darth vader

Madame:
Just pointing out that han cannot be athos. Han is funny, light, irresponsible, roguish, and a randy flirty saucepot with the ladies.

Not a miserable repressed alcoholic.

(Clearly ds was wrong. han is aramis.)

Comtesse:
And really Luke is Luke. Dog. Young impetuous, natural talent which needs refining. Wouldn't shag but like in a wholesome way and enjoy character.

Me:
Dog = luke
Aramis = han
Connie = princess leia
Milady = darth vader
Cardinal = the emperor
Porthos = chewbacca
Athos = obi-wan
Treville = yoda

Cinnamon
Treville as Yoda ? Very insulting you are, small green goblin he is not, squeaky voice he has not.

WW
Athos as Obi-Wan! Played in snarky Athos style

Salt as Jabba

Liam Neeson as Qi-Gon.

Helen Smile

BloodyElkFire · 19/03/2015 13:36

I've too much time on my hands Hmm

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/03/2015 13:37

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/03/2015 13:41

It's ok, the leash is one of those retractable ones.

FancyFancy · 19/03/2015 13:42

Even for someone who's not seen Star Wars, those are funny. Thanks for posting helen.

BloodyElkFire · 19/03/2015 13:50

FancyFancy · 19/03/2015 13:52
