SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/03/2015 11:26

This seems awfully like mud wrestling - am I doing it right?
I think 'that' was Sebastian Stan in Winter Soldier, because you KNOW who Oberyn is Grin

I have also booked an appointment with the dentist for next week

BloodyElkFire · 19/03/2015 11:28

Oh Bads....that's awful.

What will you do?
Can you get another at short notice?
What will happen if the ironing pile reaches untold proportions?
This is a very pressing matter

(oh that's bad...sorry. I've run out of steam)

LetUsPrey · 19/03/2015 11:28

Could this series 2 be the equivalent of "that second tricky album"?

PS you ain't seen me, I'm not here

Baddz · 19/03/2015 11:29

Helen...my other tooth is really hurting now :( hope you get on ok.
My dad's mum used to make him bread poultices for his football injuries :)

IssyStark · 19/03/2015 11:30

Humm, I don't feel too bad abut season 2, but I feel the breaks have buggered it up royally.

For example, until I rewatched the start, I'd completely forgotten that Treville and the general had discussed and named Porthos's father in the first episode. I think it probably is more cohesive than it seems because of the transmission problems. They also seem to be playing up to the fanfic writers by leaving several important scenes off-camera (for example Treville telling Porthos about his father).

That said, the humour is less overall and the angst more. However I think you might all be pleasantly surprised tomorrow with one scene in particular Grin

Baddz · 19/03/2015 11:31

Really!?
Really?....:)
It's a VERY SERIOUS matter that you wenchy slatterns DO NOT UNDERSTAND :)

I am off to find a bread poultice recipe for Helen....

IssyStark · 19/03/2015 11:32

Enormouse · 19/03/2015 11:35

Right I have to be off now. I'm going to the fpa to see about getting the reproductive trident system fitted.

See you all later.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/03/2015 11:53

Nope, nobody here but us Badders Wink Issy got MrIssy to help her download Ep 9 from America. She cracked - big time Grin but has been very good at not posting any spoilers other than generic 'squee' type noises.

Omg.
Sooooooo excited!

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 19/03/2015 12:10

I still love the show & can't wait for Fridays. I would like some of the humour back for S3 because it is different & I did love that aspect of S1. I think Team A will have a slightly different perspective to other teams though as he has probably had the most screentime of the 4 this series - his has probably been the biggest storyarc & it's not one that's going to lend itself to humour.

I absolutely cannot wait for the final 2 eps, especially in light of what Issy has just said!

MadamedeChevreuse · 19/03/2015 12:23

I think they will respond to the S2 feedback when making S3.

Personally I like to think of it in terms of Star Wars. S2 is the equivalent of Empire Strikes Back. Dark, brooding, sad.

S3 will be like Return of the Jedi - a joyful rehashing of S1 with all the things that made it popular thrown back in.

i.e. Cute cuddly ewoks and good guys victorious = humour, snogging, triumphant action and billowy undone shirts.

MiladyBeaWinter · 19/03/2015 12:26

That's your turn finished, leave him to me now please. And I get an extra 5 minutes because of your running out of steam pun.

I think it was me being political my love, not you. Or at least I started it with my wrong Milliband brother and UKIP FIL. Won't go into a huge essay as we have moved on, but will say I agree, we should be able to talk and post about pretty much anything on here and it is all about how we respond that matters. In the interest of balance I get all horribly right wing when we talk about matters of defence and national security. My views are mine, your views are yours and I refuse to fall out with any of you if we differ.

And Ali I know you didnt mean it aimed at anyone and I do see what you were trying to do.

We have an iron. It is used for ironing hama beads and iron on uniform labels.

MiladyBeaWinter · 19/03/2015 12:27

Yep, improvement.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 19/03/2015 12:35

Again - I haven't seen Star Wars but I like the sound of that S3 Madame. And I agree - they would be mad not to take onboard what most fans are saying about S2. There is no way they won't have picked up on it - I've seen it mentioned a lot on Twitter. I don't envy them that though - having to balance out fun & gripping drama. Tricky!

IssyStark · 19/03/2015 12:44

Yep, think madame is dead on with her Star Wars analogy, also three act dramas in general.

mouse my lips are sealed as to who or what but I bet you'll all know exactly what it is when you see it.

Sparkles there must be a tall, slightly plump, dark-haired comedian somewhere in your future. Never seen Star Wars?

Baddz · 19/03/2015 12:46

LOVING the SW analogy Madame :)
