mavis do you know one of my favourite things about not living in spain? The fact that here its too cold for beasties to lay eggs in the flour. I dont know how or why but the flour is full of bloody insect eggs of some kind there. You have to maintain constant vigilance of the dry ingredients cupboard. Once it got out of hand and they hatched and maggot things started to crawl out of the cupboard and UP THE WALLS.

Urgh Madame - clearly my lax approach to kitchen cupboard rotation would not go down well in Spain. (Oh, and a disclaimer, I do have a basic food hygiene certificate now and a) am careful with what I eat that's out of date and b) never use out of date stuff in my place of work)

God, the weather is really awful here today. It's a sit in front of the fire with tea, chocolate and TM sort of day. So, naturally, I'm delighted that I'm off to work in a minute..

I can give you uk sugar weevils, or, the one that was really like a scene from a horror film, the bird food weevils, where you could hear them rustling in the sack of food, there were so many of them

On that freaky thought I shall leave you - off to get washing in (still damp) and DS from school (probably having a winge at me) and then shoe shopping with him (trauma abounds) I may need a stuff drink when I return...

I'm pretty sure that was Kingy frothing at the mouth in the trailer - plus in the episode he told Rochefort that he feared being poisoned above all.

Am sat here seething at Freecycle no-shows, why are some people so fucking flaky? I was really looking forward to clearing a whole heap of stuff from the garage (I am very sad I know) & they are 90 minutes late, with no communication.

I eat loads of food out of date - I have the stomach of an ox! Today at work I ate a ready meal paella that was in the reduced section, on Friday. If it's cheap/reduced I'll eat anything.

OK, have read Suzie Shooter. You can bet your life Jess P reads those big fan blog reviews - for a start she follows Red on Twitter so I reckon she reads Suzie's too. Will be interesting to see if the 2 main gripes about S2 - the lack of focus on TM together with its resultant too much court stuff, AND fans missing the fun of S1 - are addressed in S3 or whether they continue with the bigger, more drama-filled serious stuff.

Also - reading the comment about how much BBC America cut out - I wonder how that will affect how they make it. I wonder what was cut out? Given that 3 is going to be made primarily for overseas now, will we notice a difference here?

I am sorry to say I think series 3 will be made primarily for the US audience now the Harvey Weinstein is on board :(
