Yes, not Milady because chemistry and girl crushes.

Oh and given my Mum watched TM and fancies Dog something rotten, I'm fairly sure she will very much enjoy Aiden Turner new Poldark.

Apples, trees etc Grin

Lyndie · 08/03/2015 18:39

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Lyndie · 08/03/2015 18:41

Apologies for that ^ I noticed on another thread that emoticons work on the App but they don't seem to work on the web!!

Very worrying developments re series titles. Is there any chance they'll leave us with a huge cliff hanger?

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/03/2015 18:42

15 million?? How big is your population?? Confused

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 08/03/2015 18:44

Lyndie, see my cliffhanger theories above!

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 08/03/2015 18:45

Just over 60m Wicked. Dunno what it would have been back at time of original Poldark.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/03/2015 18:57

Sweden is tiny in comparison, 9,5 million.

AnneOfAramis · 08/03/2015 19:00

Will they not tidy everything up and have the boys ride off again? I really liked the way everything just went away and it was just them at the end.

I think Connie or Milady. Marg probably but not a huge deal and Rochefort will either hang or Aramis will do some slashing.

FancyFancy · 08/03/2015 19:07

Yes madame, I do get cross at them moaning & think that some really don't engage their brains before posting. I miss cheeky Aramis, but the writers can hardly forget about the dolphin situation & there was so much crap about how he was mooning over Anne & the dolphin all the time (well the writers didn't show us all the time he wasn't, did they?), but then slagged him off for moving on too quickly to Marg. So which was it? Because he can't move on if he's always mooning (nlt, unfortunately). Fuckwits. Oh, and why shouldn't he move on, it's not like there's any real future for him & Queenie.

Rant continues for some time......

And then I breathe & try to remember that it's probably the fan-girling ramblings of an overly-romantic teen (as oppposed to the fan-girly ramblings of lust-fuelled middle-aged woman, which are all entirely reasonable Wink )

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/03/2015 19:14

I agree Fancy, entirely reasonable Grin

FancyFancy · 08/03/2015 19:18

As to who's on trial?

Marg - not sure she's important enough to hang the finale on, she's always felt disposable & so more likely to just be killed off?

Rochefort - think he's more likely to instigate the trial than be the accused, suspect he may get killed too.

Connie - quite likely, as Rochefort would like her out of the way. Would provide lots of drama for all the other characters (except maybe Kingy)

Milady - could be, but she'd be a dangerous defendent, who knows what she'd say in court? So I think not

Aramis - Could be . Would ruin Queenie, but maybe Rochefort's obsession has now turned to obsessive hate. He could spin it to gain Kingy's trust even more.

Queenie - a bit too historically inaccurate if there was an actual trial, although in the book the Cardinal does try to 'out' her relationship with Buckingham, so who knows?

So Connie & Aramis are my front-runners

AnneOfAramis · 08/03/2015 19:18

Rewatching the Marmion's episode because DS3 wants to see Aramis fall out of the window. I am such a good bad parent.

I have refused to let them rewatch this weeks though.

MadamedeChevreuse · 08/03/2015 19:18

its ok fancy. We've got you.

My death list:

Marg will probably die.

Rochefort definitely brown bread.

Connie no - more than 2 main character deaths is surely too many. Though not sure how theyre going to sustain the constagnan tension into series 3.

Maybe its her who gets locked up in the bastille for some reason?

FancyFancy · 08/03/2015 19:19

Thank you ww, I aim for reasonable ramblings at all times Wink

concernedfan · 08/03/2015 19:24

Greetings once more, Muskewenches!

Times are fraught with you these days, I see, so maybe this isn't the time to butt in with a report of a Santi Sighting that may not have come to your attention.

I was watching a DVD of the BBC miniseries, Shakespeare Retold, and he popped up in episode three, The Taming of the Shrew.

He only has a small part, however. Hmm

Enjoy Poldark. I loved AT as Kili but can't imagine him as Ross.

Lyndie · 08/03/2015 19:24

Sorry Sparks I was rushing and not RTFT!!

So basically anything could happen? Grin

I've unfollowed the US TM account.

FancyFancy · 08/03/2015 19:30

(not the Prosecco, that would be a waste)

Thanks madame, I needed that

hello concerned, a Santi sighting is very welcome at these fraught times, as long as he doesn't die in it. He doesn't does he?

FancyFancy · 08/03/2015 19:31

Ok need to go & do the usual Sunday shit - dinner, baths & crack the whip re homework & bag packing.

See you all later

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/03/2015 19:35

Watching ep 4, quite boring actually, yawn. And they edited things out, but nothing important so far.

concernedfan · 08/03/2015 19:35

Fancy, no, he doesn't die in it. Just scarpers at the thought of having to sign a pre-nup prior to his marriage with a rich older woman.

IssyStark · 08/03/2015 19:45

The Radio Timex write up for ep 9 mentions Anne's letter to her brother, which of course Rochefort has. That would be treason, so although he threatened adultery, he doesn't have any evidence but he does have 'evidence' if the queen toting with the King of Spain.

I predict Constance will be on trial and possibly Queenie too.

mavis thanks for the reminder about Banished. I'll get it off iplayer (we were both so determined to finish State of Play I didn't even look at Thursday's listings).

ApricotCrush · 08/03/2015 20:13

I hope we don't have cliffhangers. It's too long to wait.

TB dies in half the stuff he's been in, so we're used to it, but I'm sure we won't have to worry this time, at least not yet. Hmm

I think it's Marg and Rochefort for the chop. What about Catherine? No-one's mentioned her. She's out to get Milady so she has to come back.

About the 5 seasons for Poldark. In America it's usual for actors to sign up for 7 seasons, i.e House, The Mentalist, Good Wife etc. but if the ratings aren't good enough the show is cancelled, and it's pretty brutal. As Anne said, it's just a commitment on both sides which can be broken, for example the TM actors signed up for 3 seasons, but PC was released for Dr. Who.

We watched Banished. I'm 50/50 about it, DH loved it.

Enormouse · 08/03/2015 20:14

I've just cut the boys nails and have only just recovered. Surely it shouldn't take 2 people to cut a 13 month olds toenails while he screams like he's being murdered.

I'm thinking queenie will be on trial too issy but Aramis will get away by the skin of his teeth.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 08/03/2015 20:32

It's GOT to be Queen &/or Aramis on trial.

This is going to need a fortnight of psyching up. Thanks Comic Relief!

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 08/03/2015 20:36

Off to re-watch! And then Poldark after. So laterzzzzz
