lola that's really interesting thank you, I was actually too scared to speak and kept my work safely in my bag. I did pick up tips and would happily have sat for double the time listening, but to actually have people who I could tangibly see reading it frightened the bejesus out of me. It's not that I don't want constructive criticism because I absolutely do I know when I read it back it's nowhere as good as I want it to be but my courage failed me!!! I'm not surprised they like your broad church/OG it's inspired and very well written!

You might have a point about 'Rach', its very strange that markab left the remarks (unless he wanted everyone to see). Hmm... more to that than meets the eye methinks. Why "she" needs to put something on lola's though ... it's brilliant. And now you have it confirmed by someone outside of this too ... fabulous. You lot are so brilliant at writing, if you are doing creative writing courses as well, I am so impressed! Although not sure how much better you can be at this (not too much conflict lola ... unless of course, but conflict, you mean naked fireside wrestling type of conflict ... yep, I could go for that!!).

Hiding my head at the moment, I'd forgotten to turn my phone down, and just had CJ shouting "Stay focused, etc!" (at work - quite apt as not actually focussing very well on work!). Oops. Very strange look from my colleagues, another black mark against my

WHAJEB1 It was terrifying we had to read out stories to group and there were 25 of us. They gave us five minutes to write a story about a lobster!
We also had to do pitches for a piece of work we had in progress.
The course was run by book editors so they were a tough crowd. But I have to say it was well worth it and we were all the same wondering if our work was any good and should we read it out.
I do a lot of head hoppy stuff they told me so something to work on!
Be brave! Pull the notebook out of the bag and be proud of your writing.

Everyone wants a happy ending in a story but you need a bit of conflict along the way.... lol

I'm obviously very peculiar cos I don't like creme eggs (too sickly) but I'm intrigued by the biscuits (anything in biscuit or cake form sounds good to me).

Don't think greenstuff is on here. The OGA group were very keen to 'acquire' her judging by the comments on the ff site. It would be great if she'd join us too though. How's the new OGA going whajeb and nipper?

lola 25 my goodness I only had 10!! I will remove the story from the bag next time and as doing it will think of your bravery - now can't stop thinking of lobsters though!

Reviews - the strangest things, are they the epitome of ff writing? I do agree that if someone had left such a vile review I would have to ask for it to be deleted and would never read another review again. Must read some other ff and see what reviews are like on there...

nipper surely someone wouldn't be that devious?! And they're such truly hideous comments that I can't imagine someone making them up, but has markab responded to them at all?

Afternoon. I noticed some of those reviews a long time ago when the story was first posted and wondered then why anyone would allow them to appear. They would only appear automatically if you deselect the preview guest messages option on your account. There's a difference between allowing a guest review that says they don't like your story very much expressed properly and downright four letter abuse which tells you nothing of any value. It is strange that he let them through. I think he did comment about them a while back via reviews in his own name.

I'm oribsbly just jumping to conspiracy theories but I just find it very odd. The comments are so vile.... Of the teenage bullying ilk. Markab could delete them himself and make it so guest reviews have to be moderated before they show publically. As fans as I can tell he hasn't responded but there was an a/n about some people not likening his stories a while ago....

Enjoyed my cream egg biscuit... I bought a few packets and some spare cream eggs just in case!!!!!

There was talk from kd on the old OGA site about him talking to green stuff about joining the group but it never happened. He is not part of the new group, it only has about 40 members and is just a nice little place to look at photos from the series and talk about ff. I don't think anyone in the new group is looking for drama, they just want to hang out with other OG nut bars!

What am I talking about - obviously I don't need to languish over the fictional CJ, cos I've got the real one right here. I've just had to check his blisters in fact you'd be amazed the parts of the body blisters can develop

jen yes in your author settings there is an option so that guest reviews have to be signed off by you first. Scroll down on the settings page, it is a yes/in question with three others.

Just realised I'd missed a few posts. I did wonder what on earth whajeb meant talking about lobsters - thought it might have been some sort of code! Anyway, what do you mean by 'head hoppy stuff' lola and why is that wrong?

Dunno about lobsters but AT has been gripping me like a limpet since he popped round after The One Show last night. I told him it's no good behaving like a weasel on a kingfisher, get round the front so we can check out your guinea pig

orphan he actually phoned me and asked me to include did originally type put it in but thankfully remembered that was something else he had planned for you which has to remain a secret that sentence just to build anticipation. He is so thoughtful!

pixie in readiness for his Kenyan trip, I've just given CJ a full tip to toe but mostly below the belt inspection and I'm happy to say he's firing on all cylinders. Very impressive reload times.

Thanks for your kind thoughts re my disturbing visit to my elderly friend last night. Whatta Man and the ff cheered me up no end once I got to bed. Not forgetting the creme egg biscuits before bedtime. If this was television, our product placements would boost supermarket takings no end - stag pants, biscuits and notebooks!

Great ff from you all by the way and just noticed the latest from pixie. The Molly's Choice one I never liked so gave up reading it but your comments intrigued me so I looked at the particularly vile one. OMG what language!
