This is getting stranger and stranger. Yep, there was a review talking about kd doing a story like this one, that has now disappeared. Also, that a/n thanking kd is new.

Good to now I'm not the only undercover OGer... I have a couple of re friends who know about it and have been quite kind, I've mentioned it to a couple of other friends (mostly when my phone is going nuts with notifications) and they've just looked at me blankly and made a comment about where I get the time! My newest fan is my mum though... My husband told her about it, in a supportive way, so she has now got an account so she get get the emails when I publish a new chapter! I wasn't joking in a previous story when I said I could barely write a sentence at school, so she was pretty impressed and surprised when I told her about it! I did ask her not to review but it would seem she couldn't resist!

My dp has been pretty relaxed about it, he doesn't want to watch OG though, he's more of a fall asleep watching quest kind of guy! He's got some military background so he's been quite useful for the odd question though and has helped to develop a couple of plot lines!

I had a read of Markab's new one... An original story line, looking it will be pretty dark again.... Not sure it will be my cup of tea but good to have a variety of stories... Horses for courses and all that....

icemistOBE · 08/03/2015 21:32

I am pretty much undercover-hubby knows I bought the DVD, but has forgotten my autograph request. No-one at work has asked about my calendar Sad. Sister says I'm OTT- but she has only see my posts on twitter. I am a member of another mums group on FB (we meet up etc) and hubby thinks thats who I talk to on the laptop. So this is completely secret. I have mentioned FF in work but not what I read. I did show a colleague, a photo of CJ (before the 3rd ep) and while she agreed he was very handsome, she never watched the series.

And no-on apart from you lot, know I have a few printed photos in my handbag just incase BA should ever be in Manchester....and he can give me his autograph Grin

Ilovelblue · 08/03/2015 21:35

icemist that last sentence made me guffaw! I didn't know you had actual printed photos!

Anyway, why the hell didn't you get him to autograph them whilst you had him locked up in your secret bunker with all your screens and headsets???

icemistOBE · 08/03/2015 21:39

I was rather distracted and totally forgot Wink

I printed 5 photos, I couldnt decide which to send to be autographed.... and then couldn't bin the others. I thought doing little photobook might be goig a bit too far

I'm completely undercover too ... No one, other than you lot, know I am on here! I did think one of my friends was similarly obsessed, near the beginning, and every so often she mentions OG, but in a 'that was a really good series, wonder if they are going to do another one' way, but I am pretty sure that is as far as it goes. I quite like it though, most of my friends/school mums know a lot about me, as I am quite involved in local kids work, so it's actually quite nice to have something that no one knows about. In fact the only one know knows anything, is probably littlie ...! But only cos we watched it together, and my ring tone, and the pictures on my ipad and phone (before I turn them off very quickly!!) .... Im not quite sure, now I've said that, how noone else has twigged .... Most people probably wouldn't expect it of me! hee hee! :)

WHAJEB1 · 08/03/2015 21:43

I made the mistake of printing some pictures of screenshots of CJ on my phone from one of these photo app places, never thinking for a moment that OH would take an interest when they were delivered! I did have some photos of my boys too but it was a bit embarrassing Blush

So Darcy has deleted comments re being like KD and then thanked KD! My head hurts!!!!

icemistOBE · 08/03/2015 21:50

Quite enjoying Poldark.

icemistOBE · 08/03/2015 22:04

love my mum but ringing 10 mins before Poldark finished is not good. I'll have to watch it again.

OP posts:
Mumtothenipper · 08/03/2015 22:06

I missed the first 20 mins but switched over to poldark when dp fell asleep. I liked it, I don't know the storyline so don't know what's to come. Seems like lots of drama and angst...
Couldn't watch Philip Davis (the male servant) without thinking of RPJ... They were in white chapel together I think.

icemistOBE · 08/03/2015 22:10

I enjoyed it. Have no idea what to expect at all, but will definitely watch again.

I definitely liked his hat and his frowny face (when it wasn't being kicked/bashed with some kind of musketry/covered in blood).

icemistOBE · 08/03/2015 22:15

Right, I'm away to bed. Incase we get a flurry of posts, here's the new thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/telly_addicts/2326497-Our-Girl-and-Captain-James-Discussion-Thread-Vol-XIV number 14...

I have a thought for changing the name of the thread but will discuss it further in the new thread Smile

Well, definitely not a weasel! I remember the original series - part of my childhood so found myself reacquainting myself with the characters and remembering who's nice and who isn't. The story is all coming back to me but I won't give anything away. Nice to watch something without adverts for a change.

Rhubarb01 · 08/03/2015 22:27

By the way Nipper I thought that reviewer must be your mum. Good on her!

Richtea19 · 08/03/2015 22:28

I really enjoyed Poldark, and nipper I thought that too of Phil Davis!! And the thought of RPJ, AT and of CJ... Brings back all that sweaty wrestling. We did discuss venues for the event, so perhaps one of AT disused mines on the Cornwall coast line??

My head hurts too with all the undercover FF stuff. We shoud send in our best agent - icemist !!!!!

Early start tomorrow and DS starts the second round of Mock exams for GCSEs. These are the ones he has hopefully revised for, unlike the "mocks of the Mocks" that he didn't revise for!

KeziaOAP · 08/03/2015 22:33

Thoroughly enjoyed Poldark, plenty of action. I remember watching the original series in the 1970s. Rhubarb after all this time the plot is coming back to me too.

Richtea19 · 08/03/2015 22:33

Minnie from "LowRise to Candleford" was in Poldark as well. I wonder if BA was watching it to support his fellow cast member?

Mumtothenipper · 08/03/2015 22:44

Very excited to be on the new authors list! Bless my mum, she was quite touched to get the name banana mum! I hope she won't leave anything too embarrassing... Still better than a troll saying you're boring I guess!

Just had a limb to say things a mumma don't know has been updated... I love mrs James in this, I'm going to read now before hitting the hay I think!

Mumtothenipper · 08/03/2015 22:45

Limb? That would be ping!

orphan · 08/03/2015 22:46

Well that was good old fashioned drama: gorgeous scenery, galloping horses, heaving bosoms and lots of brooding, meaningful looks. Still not uncontrollably overcome with lust for At, but I do like his deep voice.

Thanks richtea for identifying Minnie - it was niggling me!

orphan · 08/03/2015 22:51

Am worried that cjwoof hasn't appeared on here yet though. Or has she just been too overcome with cougar hormonal rush?

Nickel45 · 08/03/2015 22:55

'tis a bit strange orphan

I had just started reading zombies and the battery on my i pad died. Now about getting it on my phone. Bother. But the intro made me laugh out loud!!!! Will have to read tomorrow now, so best give up and go to bed. Thank you ice for setting up the new link :)

Rhubarb01 · 08/03/2015 22:57

I'll finish this off. The link for thread fourteen has been posted above by Icemist. See you all over there!
