I've just been preparing tomorrow night's meal. I got some venison and red wine sausages from a farm shop near our hotel last week in the Cotswolds. The recipe suggests squeezing the meat out of the skins before cooking them. Why oh why does this remind me of both cjwoof and CJ himself. The sausages were very red and just a little bit sticky!

I've been looking through my emails and have now filled in the online comments card from Bailbrook House. Was this a bit flippant? One of the questions was "What was the best aspect of your stay?" and I said "The fact we sat at the same table as the Our Girl episode was filmed". Another question was "What could we have done to make your stay even better" and my response to that was "Arrange to have had Ben Aldridge sit at our table". Hopefully, it will give them a laugh if nothing else.

Oh yes ilove perfect response to a comment card. I did laugh when I read about your venison sausages. When sausage is referenced I can only think of D.Lewis!! But when you said squeezing meat out of the skin... Where's the woof when we need her!!!! Nicholas Whitchell was referred to as "Nick Whichtell" today on the news... Is he trying to get cool?!

Tell you what Richtea, just had a quick nibble at the sausages as they finish cooking in more red wine and they are pretty damn good! Should make a very nice tea tomorrow night. You finish them off with a swirl of cream and serve with pasta. Sounds ok to me.

Haha, Nicholas Witchell is desperately trying to get himself an invite to the wrestling. Am I remembering correctly that he hadn't even made it to the front of house team?

Do you remember sausage making used to be a favourite on The Generation Game? I just bet cjwoof would be a dab hand at it, but definitely no chipolatas for her.

I gave up watching the casual vacancy- were too many characters I didn't know who was who etc my concentration span for watching TV has gone out the window. Nothing seems to hold my interest at all.

Morning - just popping on to let you know that CJ is being forced to has decided to extend the weekend ever so slightly and stay here forever today. We still have half the manual to get through, and I have a day off work. Hammock position is next, but requires a high skill level to contain all of those lovely long limbs, and get the rhythm just right, so we're off to have a practice run now. I've had worse Monday mornings.

Might be one for pixie to try on holidays if I ever let him leave me

The weather forecast for where we're going is 34 degrees with high humidity. We'd just slide off each other with all the sweat. I'd stick with the tried and trusted cowgirl, but I promise to be gentle.

And talking of nuts looks like there's high possibility of bruising them, I'm very impressed you're attempting the hammock position onlygirl. I'm interested in how CJ is going to get into the hammock once you're in position - I think you could be a while on this trying not to sob with jealousy

I feel slightly queasy now having read that article pixie. Penile fracture and audible crack... I do hope spo isn't reading. I am intrigued though by the circumstances unclear in which some of the injuries occurred. Energetic cream teas perhaps?

Morning everyone! Well what a weekend I've had. Thanks to orphan spurning The Sausage on her Birthday due to an over bulging neck, I took pity on him and managed to find a way to ease the swelling. It took some time and he's only just left. I'd like to think there was plenty of audible crack, pixie otherwise what's the point?

Have to say the hammock position looks nigh on impossible to pull off - all about the rhythm I guess or it could become very entangled, which I suppose if CJ was involved has the potential to be a perfect predicament, good thinking jen

Just reading the ff updates and had a thought...as lola is so talented at the crossover stuff and her Broadchurch meets OG was so brilliant, perhaps she could write a chapter of Fifty Shades of Lady Jane Grey starring the lovely King Antoine? Perrrr-lease lola??? No pressure obvs

Oh yes, 50 shades of Lady Jane Grey, with KA (and CJ? ... Not seen the film, is that feasible?! Not necessarily at the same time, think I should stop there before I get myself into too much trouble, eek!).

Feeling a bit windswept, just had a lovely walk and very long lunch at (allegedly?) the oldest free house in Britain, with a really good friend of mine. So nice to be out, its a glorious, if very windy, day down here! Now back to earth with a bump, supposed to be getting the ironing done before school pick up. Oh well!
