As someone else said, the last one was a wasted opportunity.

I would like to give tickets to:

Simon
Chesney & girlfriend
Faye
All the Windasses
Tracey-Luv
Michelle
Sawphie
Owen
Kal and all his family

Plenty more seats available, feel free to add some more passengers!

Does Les Dennis live with her? He isn't around much at the moment.

He seems to live there, in the ever expanding house. They sleep in the box room, apparently.
I haven't watched last night's episodes, but last I saw, David was sleeping on the couch. In his own house! Not a chance, why doesn't he suggest they stay with Audrey. I think she said something about boiler trouble, but why would that be a problem. If she can live there, so could they, surely.
I really don't think bringing Sarah and Bethany back has added anything to the Street Hmm.

AgathaChristie01 · 11/04/2015 11:04

Yes, I think Tracy is just too unbelievable, and when Deirdre (RIP) was there, or Blanche (RIP), Peter, or Rob, at least there was potential for some balance, sometimes funny scenes, sometimes high drama.

Now there just isn't that balance IMO, so she is just panto like, most of the time.

DocHollywood · 11/04/2015 11:05

I hate not knowing the small stuff. E.g. Who's covering Anna's shifts at the cafe and who's cleaning the pub at such short notice?
And where does Gary sleep? I think Tracey should start selling sofa beds, she'd do a roaring trade in that one street alone.

AgathaChristie01 · 11/04/2015 11:27

Yes, and Gary doesn't seem to be working much at the moment so Roy must be heroically managing to do everything in the cafe by himself. Maybe Mary can help out, no, wait, she is minding Dev's kids.

They didn't replace Lloyd's daughter (can't think of her name), who used to work there either, unless Gary is considered a replacement months / years later.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 11/04/2015 11:29

Julie / Mary / Dev's kids have completely vanished. I read somewhere that Brian is coming back temporarily as an exit strategy for Julie leaving.

AgathaChristie01 · 11/04/2015 11:39

Mary was in it recently, doing her Dirty Harry (or something) impression Grin.

Clawdy · 11/04/2015 11:59

Tracy speaking so vindictively to Faye and Gary was totally unbelievable, even for her character. The actress must have cringed when she read those lines.

Southeastdweller · 11/04/2015 12:06

That was very clunky of the writers re Tracy. Of course a lot of people would be thinking things like that but not even Tracy would say it, at least not directly to Faye.

eddiemairswife · 11/04/2015 12:25

I think I caught a brief glimpse of Mary's van parked up a side street in one of this week's episodes.

qazxc · 11/04/2015 16:00

How is nick "the cool uncle". I see no redeeming features to him whatsoever, at least David has funny oneliners.

SymphonyofShadows · 11/04/2015 16:59

I assumed Bethany was talking about the one in Italy but I tend to ignore her as she and Sarah get on my wick

NuggetofPurestGreen · 11/04/2015 17:32

I haven't really been watching recently, do we know what Tracey's motive is in sleeping with Tony? She doesn't just fancy him does she (unlikely as he's awful). And why doesn't he leave Liz if he likes tracey so much?

NuggetofPurestGreen · 11/04/2015 17:40

What did Owen lie about for 20 years?

eddiemairswife · 11/04/2015 18:42

Tracy is permanently on heat. She'll sleep with any man who shows an interest. Owen lied about not letting Linda come back when she realised that her affair was a mistake, and he destroyed the letters and cards she sent the girls. He is a nasty, vindictive man and I had no sympathy when he shed tears last night.

Chipstick10 · 11/04/2015 20:29

The only reason sara is back (apart from the actress needing work) is to start something with Callum , yawn yawn yawn. Predictable and so tedious. I'm sick of the corrie writers . They are crap

MadgeFinn · 11/04/2015 20:34

I might have to stop watching Chipstick, like you say, it will be predictable and oh so boring.

qazxc · 11/04/2015 20:36

Why didn't she let Owen go off with the ex wife if she wanted rid?

Griphook · 11/04/2015 22:49

Whilst I think Owen was a bit of a git, the actor was quite good, and corrie are short on good actors so I think he will be missed

Akire · 11/04/2015 23:33

I think nik is cool Uncle because he owns bar and it's cool to hang out. David on the other is hairdresser not even a mans hairdresser which is what she was moaning about before.

Faye has to,keep the baby really or be quick ending to story.

SwedishEdith · 11/04/2015 23:39

Agree that the actor who plays Owen is a good actor - he was the dad in the tv adaptation of Tess. And spotted Tony in a film the other night with Burt Reynolds. I wish Tony wasn't cheating on Liz.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 12/04/2015 00:35

Well Akire she could give her away and then they could have a storyline about her wanting her back (like Sonia and Rebecca/Chloe in Enders and Debbie and Sarah in Emmerdale...)

DuckChowMein · 12/04/2015 08:20

They really ought to adopt faye's daughter out because they never seem to know what to do with babies after the initial storyline and they end up disappearing mysteriously a few weeks after, only to be briefly mentioned as 'the baby' on occasion.

And yes, how do they get that pushchair up and down the stairs? Then again, how does izzie get up and down?

MadgeFinn · 12/04/2015 09:21

They could adopt Faye out too while they're at it. She's not brought much joy to the house since she arrived a few years ago has she.

Southeastdweller · 12/04/2015 10:40

Just been reading on Digital Spy that the Corrie bosses have finalised the exit storyline for Deirdre, but it hasn't been revealed yet.

Listmaker · 12/04/2015 19:23

I always wonder how Izzie's meant to have got into the flat or how she's supposed to be managing Jake on her own? And yes now the pram up and down the stairs?!

And yes surely someone would say 'oh Sarah's back and she went through all this maybe we could ask her to chat to Faye?! Why the timing of her return if not?

I really do wonder why I keep watching but after 33 years I can't give up!!
