Corrie thread - Can we have another minibus trip with a bigger cliff?

Tracey is a pantomime dame who has gone way past her sell by date, as is Sean.

If Tracy and Tony somehow manage to take over The Rovers, I will have to stop watching, for sure.

I think Tracy will be side-tracked by a visitor from her past!

I don't mind Tracey too much but don't get me started on Maria, truly awful, like watching paint dry. All her storylines are rubbish (she very rarely gets one anyway).

She (Maria) will be going on maternity leave later in the year. To me, she is another colourless character.
I just couldn't bear Tracy being in charge of The Rovers, it seems to be hinted at that she wants to get ownership, now that she has Tony where she wants him, Steve has money troubles and so on.

I agree Maria is boring and I'd forgotten all about Eva until one of the other characters brought her name up last week. She's also superfluous to the show, IMO.

I'd like the Tracey/Tony storyline resolved soon but with this weeks news of Tracey's visitor (who they haven't cast yet), I expect the story to rumble on through the summer with Tony getting jealous and the visitor maybe blackmailing Tracey or something...yawn.

Oh God yeah Sean is just awful - at least we're getting rid of Owen soon. Just the rest of them to go then - well maybe Gary can stay. He's OK. Izzie is the worst actress ever!

Maria is so boring. Can't wait for Kylie to come back. I saw some photos of her on set the other day so hopefully in a few weeks.

Fizz and Eva can stay away though!

And again where is everyone sleeping in Gail's house? We have Gail, Michael, David, Max, Lily (if she still exists!), Sarah and Bethany in what can only be a two bedroom house surely? It's tiny downstairs! Same at Eileen's - are Todd and Jason sharing a room?!

When you think about it there's not many good younger ones who can actually act. Why do they keep them on, a lot of them force me to switch channels. Maria, Tyrone, Sophie, Faye, Simon, Andrea, Fizz...... The acting is dire, why they're kept on is beyond me. I dread it when any of these are given too many scenes. On the other hand, scenes with Rita, Norris, Mary,Steve, Liz, Sally, Gail, David, Eileen......are often funny and make me want to watch.

Some of the lines they give Tracy are so unbelievable and she mangles them with her dreadful overacting. When she flashed Tony the other day I grimaced at what he might have seen

I agree Madge, I think the aim now seems to be to keep dragging in more and more 'faces' rather than focusing on good, decent storylines. I much prefer when the older, better characters are involved. I laughed the evening Emily was trying to shield her friends from the church from the language in The Rovers, for example.

I do wonder if the likes of Helen Worth/ Gail cringes now when handed her lines, compared to stories she would have been involved in, in the past. How they plan to untangle that nonsensical story of Gavin, I neither know nor care.

Sometimes I feel my eyes glazing over when it's characters such as Sinead, Chesney, Sophie, and now Sarah and Bethany who are on. And all we keep hearing is more and more new characters being auditioned, or about to join the cast.

I don't mind Tracey. I can see why she annoys some. Some of her older scenes with Deirdre/Blanche were great. So sad that Corrie lost those two.

Corrie has really lost its way and is sometimes a chore to watch.

Oh I forgot all about those Agatha, I really am going to have to stop watching if Sarah and Bethany get too many scenes. It's painful to watch.

Isn't Sarah Harding joining the cast as someone from Tracy's past? I also heard that Shayne Ward auditioned recently.

Are they setting up Audrey and Ken as a couple?

Clawdy I'd been wondering where the Anna Karenina storyline was going so Audrey and Ken getting together seems likely - two widowed people of a similar age and known each other for years.

Yes, I could see that working. Both quite lonely.

Ken's not a widower yet. I was so excited to see Lily I nearly fell off my chair.

Over at the factory, would Carla really be that rude to Sally, and why are 3 people needed in that office. What on earth are they all meant to be doing?

Think they've been listening to us...the whole Bethany calling Audrey Audrey came up! And Lily lives!!

Not a widower yet, but it's imminent. And I can see him and Audrey bonding over the loss of Deirdre.

So Anna is giving Owen the elbow then. Every time I see him now I think of King Thistle (of Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom)!

Hopefully Todd Bum Face is going to be good in this storyline

Todd and Tracey would be so much better working together than fighting each other.

They are both so evil they would look good stroking white cats in the style of bond baddies
