As someone else said, the last one was a wasted opportunity.

I would like to give tickets to:

Simon
Chesney & girlfriend
Faye
All the Windasses
Tracey-Luv
Michelle
Sawphie
Owen
Kal and all his family

Plenty more seats available, feel free to add some more passengers!

Just catching up on the last few weeks. Wouldn't Michael's Auntie Barbara have been invited to the (non)wedding? Come to think of it, who are all the mysterious people that fill the pews at Corrie weddings, whom the characters clearly know well enough to invite but are never seen on the Street because we all know that Corrie residents never actually leave the place except for the odd trip to the Red Rec or the precinct, and occasionally Tenerife or LA?

Southeastdweller · 01/04/2015 14:55

I also the squabbling at the Platts though I can imagine it'll get annoying in May when Kylie and Sarah start an inevitable war.

Just read that Sarah Harding (Girls Aloud) is joining the show for a few episodes this summer.

AgathaChristie01 · 01/04/2015 17:28

I also heard something about a guy who was in XFactor auditioning...

desperatehousewife21 · 01/04/2015 20:54

Also did you all notice Michelle mentioned Carla sending her congrats from LA?

millimat · 01/04/2015 21:14

Wish my onset of labour had been that quick!!!

Ellenora5 · 01/04/2015 21:26

Both mine were millimat and both born within the hour, very scary but bloody quick, thank goodness I live near enough the maternity hospital Grin

I agree about Sarah and Kylie, it will be beyond tedious and very screamy and shouty, at least the writers have realised we don't believe in the ever expanding houses and finally put someone on the sofa.

Southeastdweller · 01/04/2015 21:40

Yes, Ellen, I really do think the writers are reading this thread Grin

RunsWithScissors · 01/04/2015 22:06

I'm wondering if they're going to mention Deirdre at all? Or have I missed it?

Does anyone know what they have planned to deal with Anne kirkbride passing?

thenightsky · 01/04/2015 23:03

Surely Craig would just panic and call an ambulance!

AgathaChristie01 · 01/04/2015 23:07

I think it is probably all quite raw, at this stage, for her family, and those who were close to her, in Corrie.
I don't have any faith in Corrie producers and scriptwriters, given the current stuff they churn out, but I do hope that when they write her out, it is done appropriately, and with due respect for what she brought to the part she played, for so long.

One of my favourite characters, may she rest in peace.

RunsWithScissors · 02/04/2015 07:45

You're right Agatha, I can understand not wanting to jumps on too soon with it.

I also agree that it is worrying that the script writers will make a mess of it. She was brilliant!

Southeastdweller · 02/04/2015 09:14

Agatha, Shayne Ward just confirmed that it was him who auditioned.

AgathaChristie01 · 02/04/2015 09:51

Yes, I still watch some scenes thinking Deirdre should be there.

Aha, I thought they said Shayne Ward alright. It seems to be all about getting 'faces' in rather than focusing on good acting and good storylines.

Chipstick10 · 02/04/2015 10:43

I actually turned it over last night. I just can't tolerate it anymore . Sarah and Beth are already doing my head in and the inevitable Callum and Sarah storyline is something I just can't be doing with and please don't get me started on Faye

AgathaChristie01 · 02/04/2015 10:49

I'm with you on all of that Chipstick. Callum is like something out of a panto, especially last night. He was just short of breaking into a song, on the street, after the little pout to the camera, 'this just got interesting' or whatever he said.

TheCowThatLaughs · 02/04/2015 11:22

I think I'm going to stop watching it Sad. It's just...crap

AgathaChristie01 · 02/04/2015 12:06

Same here. The only bits I enjoy are when the good characters are involved.
I don't include a lot of the characters under that heading.
My eyes and ears glaze at the likes of Sarah/ Bethany/Callum/Andrea.... Too many to list them all.

TheCowThatLaughs · 02/04/2015 16:54

It's so sad. Callum is sooo boring. I feel bereft. I keep thinking the poor actors must know how rubbish the scripts are!

AgathaChristie01 · 02/04/2015 17:31

I keep thinking that too, especially the longer serving characters. Some of them must feel their heart sinking a bit when they get their scripts. Gail at the graveside being one recent example...

TheCowThatLaughs · 02/04/2015 18:18

Yes! When she said something like "have you got time for this?"
Meant to be funny but just parodying the character. Cringe!

ArcangelaTarabotti · 02/04/2015 19:19

What is Sarah wearing? She looked pg, I thought.

ArcangelaTarabotti · 02/04/2015 19:21

Also is Craig the father of Fay's baby?

Southeastdweller · 02/04/2015 19:22

No, it's a boy at her school - Jackson.

ShoeShooChoux · 03/04/2015 08:15

I can't believe what a great character Tim has turned into. I really really like him and Sally together. Long may that continue. My dh dislikes Corrie but everytime Tim's on he looks up from what he's doing and comments on how good he is.

Not looking forward to Faye's labour Confused

KenDoddsDadsDog · 03/04/2015 09:51

Craig is a great character , wish he had his own story apart from this. The Chesney teen entepreneur on the market totally disappeared.
Audrey Horseface (TM) has mentioned house troubles a few times now. Is she going to be secretly skint ?
