I was really looking forward to more LaurieLove after her first erotica FF and now it's all about harry potter and the hobbit, I can't imagine there being anything erotic about Harry Potter or a bunch of elfs!

onlygirl Good summary. I didn't think I was mean at all. I have taken a positive decision that if I am going to write a review, I will say something meaningful instead of the usual "great, can't wait for more." Tell the author what you are specifically enjoying so it encourages them to keep going. An odd query shouldn't upset the apple cart if the author wants feedback.

I think LaurieLoves FF are cross overs where harry meets a hobbit. I could be wrong, but it just sounds funny not erotic at all.! I am now tempted to read it, just for clarification.

Just spoken to RL Chris on the phone - he's very sheepish about his bad behaviour on Saturday. I hadn't spoken to him since (been pretty busy with ff and this thread work and kids, but he apparently thought I was in a strop with him Hmm

Needless to say, there won't be a second date with girl from curry night, she saw sense after his drunken idiocy and cut him loose. I didn't ask if there were any QF's involved prior to this decision...

Onlygirl I know Laurielove had said something at one time that she was "amongst us" or words to that effect - probably about the second or third thread in - so if she still lurks, maybe she will take notice and produce something else for us!!

Maybe RL Chris needs to get his head out of his ar*e too. I don't blame that girl. I bet she was really fed up when she got home. Or maybe just angry.

On the subject of reviews for ff I agree that when anyone takes the time to review and make a comment it is lovely and welcome (unless of course it is totally unconstructive abuse - which you can remove anyway!) but it is also nice to get specific comments about points of your story. I had a little message exchange with one of my reviewers who pointed out something that was unintentionally funny in my story and as soon as they said it I found it really funny too. It was nice to have that conversation.

Anyone who writes on ff will know that you get detailed stats on your story broken down by chapter and views per day/month even which countries readers are based in - the range of which is amazing. So even if you don't get lots of reviews you can still tell if people like your story if you have a regular number of people reading it each time you post a new chapter. After all people don't usually start reading at chapter 10 if they haven't read the rest - well I wouldn't. So as onlygirl says plenty of people do read it and some like to review and others don't but I think its fine either way.

And importantly as others have said it is supposed to be fun!

I looked at some of the Harry Potter stuff laurielove wrote. It's mainly about Hermione and Lucius Malfoy - it's pure filth and after reading 1 or 2 had to stop otherwise I would never read the actual Harry potter books again!

I can't believe Klipdoctor is comparing himself to TG. It was a bit strange how it jumped 10 years too!

Hold ups usually bring my leg out in a rash if I ever wear them. I was going to wear them under my wedding dress but it became apparent before we left for the church that they could be seen through my dress. (I should explain that I had a straight wedding dress) so I had to wear tights - yuk! However, just to make it a bit pointless the photographer lined us up in a family grouping with the sun behind us so that my legs appear in clear silhouette in the photos - remember the famous Lady Di photo - a bit like that!

Bloody hold ups! At least my gorgeous 6'5" colleague either didn't see or had the decency not to mention it so my pride is intact. I think if he'd told any of his mates, they would have taken the micky out of me so hopefully all is ok.

Let's hope my confession doesn't end up in SPO's writing! Should have perhaps thought of that before.
