Hello ladies, I was worried that I might have to turn in my wench in training badge but I've finally settled down for my first rewath since Friday.

Also my Anna Karenina dvd arrived but I'm not allowed to open it until I submit my as yet unfinished essay on Friday.

PeachandBlack · 07/01/2015 15:13

Jaunty title music, isn't it.

FancyFancy · 07/01/2015 15:21

elk I watched SPooks from when Ruprt PJ joined (I'm that shallow Grin. Was series 7 dodgy? I must have missed that as I was blinded by Richard Armitage. (further evidence of shallowness)

I love that tablecloth mrsbeee, it reminds me of some curtains that I have, only different colours & a slightly different pattern - that sounds really lame doesn't it? Anyhow I love them & I love it, don't let the dcs ruin it!

Is it spoilery for the whole episode apricot? I'm itching to click on that link, but don't want to ruin Friday night.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 07/01/2015 15:28

^What she said about spoilers. Gah.

Love that tablecloth.

Have been to work, been for a run, done one wash & hoovered the house. What do you mean, I've still got to cook for 7, do packed lunches, iron and do another wash? FML!

Take me away from it all, Aramis. To warm sand & hot nights.

How fucking depressing.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/01/2015 16:15

It is Sparks. Very depressing. And do you know what I found out today? the NHS don't do all inclusive holidays to Tobago on prescription.

MiladyBeaWinter · 07/01/2015 16:35

I've never watched Spooks. Am now thinking that may have been a major mistake? To be honest I don't watch much TV at all. Am more a "wait for it to come out on DVD and watch when I can be arsed" type. Apart from Musketeers obvs.

Tablecloth is Dunelm Mill £9.99 a metre on a roll jobby. It's wipeable / shiny type so kids can't really ruin it. Hides the scratched and faded mess that is my kitchen table. I keep meaning to sand it down and paint with lovely Anne Sloan paint or something, but well, you know...... tablecloth far less effort.

Helen hope you feel better soon but seems we have been saying that for ages. Pleased DH is making you take it easy and I hope you do get signed off.

Spooks was amazing, I was so sad when it ended.

YY to RPJ, but when a certain person returns right at the end my knees went weak. I won't say more because of spoilers but those of you who've watched it know who I mean Grin

Sparks Talking of warm sand and hot nights, DS2's key worker went to Eygpt for a week over new year. She has got the most amazing tan, all brown and relaxed and smiley. She is utterly lovely, but god I was jealous!

FancyFancy · 07/01/2015 16:54

Spooks did seem to do it's casting with an eye to it's female audience Wink, but your certain person does nothing for me alibabs. I'm sure they're gutted!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 07/01/2015 17:01

Haha Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/01/2015 17:06

MrsB I think you've been saying it since mid-October. This is the 4th consecutive cold FFS Angry FMSIS (StupidImmuneSystem).

Off to sort out tea for DS.....

ApricotCrush · 07/01/2015 17:12

I've never watched Spooks, in fact I watch very little television. I've tried Broadchurch and Silent Witness this week and went to sleep in the middle of both. FMI (insomnia).

With regard to that article, if you don't like spoilers it's perhaps best not to click, only two days to go. Grin

FancyFancy · 07/01/2015 17:22

Thanks for the warning apricot, I think I'll hold off reading it then. I really am looking forward to this episode, I think King is going to be stupidly funny, it should be fun Grin.

FancyFancy · 07/01/2015 17:27

This page looks very dull - not a leather clad man in sight. This needs to be rectified & it will be my duty etc.

Evening Smile

I have season 7-9 of Spooks on DVD, I had the hots for RA at the time. I'm over him now though Grin

BloodyElkFire · 07/01/2015 17:56

Meant to say ages ago thanks so much for the contributions to my just giving page....They've really help motivate me to get stuck into early morning pacing runs, when it's dark and raining and not even 6am yet! blardy hell, they're a killer

xxx

BloodyElkFire · 07/01/2015 18:15

Alibabs your taste in certain men show excellent discernment Wink

MrsB you gave me a heart attack with that table cloth. Tis very lovely, but a RL friend has just bought the exact same one, and I had a brief moment of panic thinking you might be her Shock - then obviously sound reason kicked in she has already rolled her eyes several times around her head at my TB obsession!

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 07/01/2015 18:16

I'm having chilli chile for tea tonight.

Just saying.

FancyFancy · 07/01/2015 20:05

Over RA ww Shock, have you seen him in North & South?

LaComtess · 07/01/2015 20:12

Evening wenches all

IVE just had chile for tea too Sparks. Damn hot it was too, just how I like itGrin.

That's NASAL passages.

So, things on my agenda;

  1. mrs Bea/ tech wenches - any signs on twatter or t'internet of Tom being all Russian for W&P filming? Which has apparently started? Tho our Russian expert did say A relatively small part did she not? Hmmmmm. I need info wenches.

  2. S3. Can anyone remember when they announced the S2 green light?

  3. podcast review:

I'll do Adrian first . So, to start with I thought 'for Fucksake I cannot listen to this 'geek' presenter for this long. How irritating. But then he kinda grew on my though his genuine enthusiasm and by the fact he seemed to actually consider his questions and vitally GAVE ADRIAN THE TIME TO ACTUALLY ANSWER THEM.

I have been very irritated by some of these interviews where they are asking very similar questions all the time to things that are frankly SELF EVIDENT. So geeky guy at least gave Adrian time to actually vocalise some of his thoughts properly plus was polite enough to check Adrian was happy to answer /was alright for time etc. Well done matey.

As for the Bellend interview. Well. FMWAB. It couldn't have beeeen more irritating. .

Trouble is, it all seems to rushed and couple of minutes to talk to them. THIS is why we need a proper interviewer. Like one of us to do it.

I thought it was v interesting what Adrian was saying about the villain bank and perhaps introducing Mazarin in s3 if it got the go ahead but how he's also happy to diverge from book etc. Which means Milady and Connie can have very different story 'arc's. Which is good for us in terms of some decent strong female characters.

  1. Oh I did laugh ALIBABS about Tom having a word with Howie about #shitslipons and #not another fucking bow tie mate. Totally correct ref accidental finding of FAFness. But my how well he has done with that whole set of garb. And FMWAW the whole unbuttoned shirt thing is. Yy. Veery nice.

Ps elk v well done with the pacing runs. It is a total killer in the dark and cold but worth it!!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/01/2015 20:19

Yes I have Fancy, about a million times Grin That's what started my RA obsession. But TB is the only one for me now Smile

FancyFancy · 07/01/2015 20:19

I just solved an anagram crossword clue, the answer was 'debauched' & I thought of you all.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 07/01/2015 20:19

Pacing runs? pacing runs? Before dawn? I think the Tav has the wrong wench representing them in this Marathon Hmm Grin Shock

Oh & Comtess agree agree agree with EVERYTHING re lustening. FMWAB & #notanotherfuckingbowtie were snort-worthy. I'd like to nominate myself as Interviewer. I'd give them plenty of time to answer. There would be plenty of pausing in that^ podcast. Well, 3 of them would have to amuse themselves anyway.

I think S2 was green-lit after about 3 eps of S1, wasn't it?

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 07/01/2015 20:20

WTAF, italics?

LaComtess · 07/01/2015 20:29

Sparks Grin. Ok. Deal. You can interview and I will run a man crèche for the others. Well... I can give a few errands to Luca and Howie to run whilst I 'kill time' with Tom.

FancyFancy · 07/01/2015 20:33

Love the idea of a 'man creche' comtess - send Luca over to me, I've plenty of errands to be done
