Corrie thread - New thread for the New Year, time for another disaster?

New thread in time for the new year - hopefully this year will see the back of some awful characters.

I would personally like to see the following rounded up and shoved in a deep hole in the Red Rec:

I thought they'd decided not to go ahead with the Faye pregnancy storyline. I really, really don't want to watch that.

I'd prefer more stories about sofa stealing or Beth's classy relatives.

I want Craig to do really well at school and go to University. None of the other youngsters seem to have any plans for their futures. Even Scarface Todd turned down the opportunity to go to university though he was supposed to be 'Oxbridge material'.

Have they really decided not to do the Faye baby storyline ? I thought they wouldn't change there mind's, once they had announced it. But it was ages ago I remember it being in the papers and nothing has come of it.

Just had a Google. The last article I can find on the Faye storyline was from November and it does still seem to be going ahead. It also mentions one of that household leaving, but I wont post who in case people don't want the spoiler. Though it's more than possible everyone knows and I'm just behind with the news as always.

I like to think it's the email I sent them telling them it would be a terrible storyline! Although the reply I got seemed to suggest that the scriptwriters were a law into themselves but thanks anyway for taking the trouble to write.

It's hardly the most original idea anyway, regardless it being in such poor taste. Maybe Faye will have a heart to heart with Sarah-Lou when she's back.

How old would Bethany be now? Probably older than Faye.

I haven't watched since about Boxing Day, need a big catch up session.

Bethany is 14, just looked her up on corriepedia. I was mistaken about Todd; he did go to Oxford.

I found an article from early December which said that Faye would be pregnant 'by the end of the year' which I assume is 2015 not 2014

I hope that Faye pregnancy storyline doesn't go ahead.
A while back, she and Craig seemed to be becoming friends in a sweet, innocent way. I think there could be plenty of stories from that without it becoming a relationship.

Agree please don't make Faye's baby Craig's.

Teenage pregnancy storyline is bad enough, it's been done before, Faye is becoming quite likeable.

Craig is fab and I want him to do well.

I think Faye would be vulnerable to pregnancy from an older man, but that might be too inappropriate for Corrie.

Amy should be the one who gets pregnant - obviously not now!

I am just hoping the Faye storyline has been shelved. It will seem even more silly with Sarah Louise returning, it will show just how derivative it is. If we are to have a teen pregnancy should be done properly with an older teen rather than just shock value.

I think an older pregnancy would be more shocking on a soap than a teen one. All the soaps do teen pregnancies but I'm struggling to think of a 40+ pregnant soap character. (Now I expect you all to remind me of the umpteen older-pregnancy storylines littering soaps that I have somehow forgotten!)

At last Michelle has remembered she has got a son.

She never remembers the real one though. That switched at birth thing was one of the most ludicrous plots of all time.
