Corrie thread - New thread for the New Year, time for another disaster?

New thread in time for the new year - hopefully this year will see the back of some awful characters.

I would personally like to see the following rounded up and shoved in a deep hole in the Red Rec:

They have to get rid of Chesney, he is awful now, and why are none of Sineads family at her bedside, they made if for the wedding and the Granny was telling her how she is her favourite so that baffles me why none of them there.

I hope it works out for Billy and Sean

I agree. Watching the person playing Chesney struggling to act is just cringe-making now. All that scowling and monotone emotion. The scenes with Beth make her look like Vanessa Redgrave.

I'm a bit confused about the vicar. When they met Sean asked him if he could have a BF and he said something like "yes, up to a point". Presumably he can't have a sexual relationship with anyone outside marriage so perhaps this becomes an issue or he has a crisis of faith?

Very true about Chesney. He was a cute soap child but now he might as well be a plank of wood. He is useless.

Michelle cannot do "caring" acting. She can only do folded-arm-harrumphing. Watching her being "nice" to Steve is toe-curlingly awful.

It's got to the stage where I can't even watch Chesney's 'acting'. Had to look really hard to see Todd's disfiguring scar. Do I need glasses?

Looks like the great-gran's now going to be around for a while, yet no sign of Sinead's mum. How old would the great -gran be? Sinead must be early twenties, her mum maybe around 40 (?), Doreen Corkhill her gran 60 ish ....great-gran's looking good for about 80 Confused. They could have cast her as the gran.

They are not even trying to cover Eva's bump with the usual tricks, carrying large bags and so in. When she was sitting at the table with Jason, it was very much in evidence.

Just watched the last few episodes and was confused in the pub when Owen said to Anna something about 'the place was still in a mess' and also that he seemed to be extra grumpy with Gary. What place is that then?

Hope Callum's not going to hang around and try and get off with Katie unless they both disappear into the sunset of course.

Bloody Todd, piss off please. And also Alya's brother, fed up with his one-dimensional sulk face.

And Tony falling for Tracey's charms again, what is wrong with him? And her for that matter, it's her sort-of-mil's boyfriend fgs.
She did make me laugh with her comment slagging off someone's dress sense though 'They looked like they'd covered themselves in glue and ran through a charity shop with their eyes closed'. Love it.

Noticed on the end credits 'In memory of Mike Curtis'. I looked it up and apparently a set guy committed suicide this week. How sad. Apologises if someone has already mentioned this.

Yes! What WAS that? If it was an accidental movement then they would have re-shot it, but I was intrigued. Definitely a covert action of some sort.
