Baptiste is simply divine.

Pinkje · 12/12/2014 13:13

She's also got strawberry blond hair, could she by Molly?

Pinkje · 12/12/2014 13:14

*be

AvonCallingBarksdale · 12/12/2014 13:16

I'm now thinking that Sylvie is the one to watch there
But wasn't it via her FB page that Tony saw the photo of the other boy wearing Olleh's scarf? Why would she lure Tony back if she'd been involved in Olleh's disappearance?
Can. Not. Wait. For. Tuesday....

mewkins · 12/12/2014 13:18

It can't be sylvie. She is so sympathetic to the Hughes.

tuckingfits · 12/12/2014 13:18

She's too old. Molly looked about 6-8 years old (to me) in the photos we saw & the way they were developed sort of dated them to about early 80s. Imo.

SirVixofVixHall · 12/12/2014 13:34

AAAarggh my mind is too woolly..I can't wait until Tuesday...although I will be sad to see it over, I have been so gripped by the whole series, and I think James Nesbitt has been brilliant in the part.

WhodidyousayIshouldbe · 12/12/2014 13:46

Je suis très, très désolé!

(Re) marking place with appropriate photo of the wonderful Julien!

And I noticed he enjoys a pain au chocolat. The perfect man.

WastingMyYoungYears · 12/12/2014 17:12

Grin Bingo

MN: Super sleuth one minute; appreciating the physical attributes of Julien Baptiste the next.

BingoBonkers · 12/12/2014 18:52

I like to think MN'ers are a well rounded bunch. I won't have us accused of being shallow!

Megglevache · 12/12/2014 20:12

Do you think Vincent is sex change Molly and the drugs are masses of hormones!

AuntieStella · 12/12/2014 20:45

The doctor names the drug, triptorelin. It's a synthetic analogue of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist. It works by decreasing the production of certain hormones, which reduces testosterone levels in the body.

It's usually used to treat certain cancers.

SirVixofVixHall · 12/12/2014 21:03

I'm trying to persuade Dh to watch the first episode again with me tonight, the thread mentions so many things that I missed I want to start at the beginning again.
Pain Chocolat, beekeeping, chiselled cheekbones, he may indeed be the perfect man Bingo.

Megglevache · 12/12/2014 21:03

Hmmmmmm.

SirVixofVixHall · 12/12/2014 22:01

Can't watch ep 1, no longer available on iplayer...grrr...

Ohmygrood · 12/12/2014 22:02

ep 1 was on youtube last week - I watched it from there.

Pixel · 13/12/2014 00:09

Looks like I'm going to have to watch the last bit again, I was catching up with recordings last night but seem to have missed lots of significant stuff as I was wrapping pressies at the same time.

I hadn't noticed Emily's bump (or that scene at all for that matter) but it does tie in with something said in an earlier episode. When Tony was trying to get her to go back to France because he'd found more evidence, Mark was trying to stop her going saying something about not wanting a repeat of 'what happened last time'. I'm betting she was pregnant (with Mark's baby?) and went back to France on a previous wild goose chase and the stress resulted in her having a miscarriage. Hence no more children and Emily's reluctance to listen to Tony's latest theories.

Apologies if someone already suggested this as I've only skimmed the last bit of the thread.

Alain struggled so hard with sobriety, but this year he has 20 years. Present tense
Whoever said this, I just took it to be the translation from the french. I haven't done any french since my O level (nearly 30 years ago OMG) but I vaguely recall that french for 'I am 20 years old' translates as 'I have 20 years', or something like that anyway) and yes I do remember original Charlie's Angels.

Pixel · 13/12/2014 00:20

Actually, maybe not a repeat as such of previous events, because she wasn't pregnant when Tony called her again, but the raising and dashing of hopes obviously caused her to become a bit unhinged and neither she nor Mark wanted to risk a repeat of that. She was obviously in a fragile mental state even though putting a brave face on.

Megglevache · 13/12/2014 11:50

Just watched the first one again. The man by the pool does look like the "cleaner" hired.

Indianashopgirl · 13/12/2014 12:01

Pixel The Emily 'bump' scene was in 2006 when they went back to CDB because the other child had been abducted.
There was that scene .. There were tablets in the basin and then she took some. Then another scene when she was in the smarter hotel when she threw them down the basin and Mark knocked on the door.
I therefore wondered whether she was pregnant - but it would be Tony's child. The next scene was when Mark came in to check on her and held her hand.

She had commented about them no longer sleeping together .........
I agree all about the stress - maybe she lost the baby , if she was even pregnant. Poor actress, if we've all been speculating for a dodgy camera shot! Blush
It did seem like something relevant though that we were being shown.

Moln · 13/12/2014 12:55

What conclusions will disappoint people?

Wellthatsit · 13/12/2014 13:17

Check out the front page of the Daily Mail (sorry, struggling to link to it). Looks like the journalist has been reading Mumsnet Wink

HoHonutty · 13/12/2014 13:17

Just a quick shout out to Christopher Stevens, the Daily Fail journo who has got a front page article from this thread.

How's the fee working, are we all splitting it or what?

HoHonutty · 13/12/2014 13:18

Wink Well that x post
