We know Alain has a brother (Sylvie suggested ringing him) and we know Georges had a niece living in the same town.

We don't know explicitly, but the implication is there.

And IIRC, he's also the investigating juge for Ollie's disappearance (French system not the same as the English one, and Larence explained it to the Hughes in ep 1).

We haven't seen Alain in anything later than 2009, have we? So we don't know if he's still alive. If the medal is his, then Sylvie might have information. But if she's known things all along (and he is dead) why not just come forward? Perhaps it's not his?

I thought that when Sylvie showed Tony the sobriety medal she said that he was dead?

What if the 15k bribe was actually a bribe to reveal only very specific information? That's if Tony is involved.

Regarding Sylvie and her husband...I think the husband is too obvious. I'm now thinking that Sylvie is the one to watch there. She's far too pally with Tony. It just doesn't sit right with me. She seems almost manipulative in her interactions with him, whereas Emily doesn't feel comfortable there at all. It's strange.

Also that little lounge room that they have next to the reception gives me the creeps.
