I have such a vague memory of that medal, did Sylvie show it to Tony or give it to him as a 'good luck' token??? I just can't quite place when we saw it previously, can someone remember?
That Malik toad, my god he's just horrible.

I'm pretty sure she said they issued annually, and that Alain had loads of them. As indeed would anyone following that control programme.

Ooh, well done on the medal! I think Sylvie said they get one a year, so Alain could have just received it at the meeting Sylvie was worried he would miss. I wonder if it will turn out to be Alain' s blood? The caid de cites must be involved somehow, with the prison murder and the use of their cleaner. Alain might have been a witness they threatened.

Oooo I said a long time ago that because Alain was dead Sylvie purposely posted the picture with the scarf in on Facebook to help Tony. Now I'might sure I was right.

I thought it was interesting the emphasis on its usually the parents and Mark looked at Tony. Unless he genuinely thought it was him. I think he did, he never seemed to have much time for him, he was also quick to put doubts in Emily's mind in 2009.

What I don't understand was Mark asking Malik about Tony and Ian Garret. Is he going to get Tony done? But would there be evidence seeing Malik hacked Tony's phone? Wouldn't that be inadmissible?

Who had Ziane killed? I wondered if his son arranged it. Didn't see that coming about his past though.

Alain was looking very dodgy tonight, definitely picked up on that.

I don't think Mark had anything to do with it but then the whole divorce thing and what happened with the other family does make me doubt that. It's certainly plausible but it all went horribly wrong. Did he use Alain to do it but he screwed up and got the wrong boy?

Why the he'll has Malik sat on that evidence all this time! It's clearly crucial to the case and he didn't know who it belonged to. Why the he'll didn't he turn it in!

Think the medals were all alain's and sylvie said he gave each one to her. It was in last week's episode in the present day. So is Alain definitely dead???

He can't have been acting alone ..more like he had been blackmailed into acting on behalf of someone else...garrett? The mayor (his brother)??

I meant the other prisoner reported to whoever, gang or whoever, that malik was about to talk - works for them - as do the prisoners who stabbed him I guess

OMGOMGOMG! You were right, I was wrong, it was a sobriety medal. And the Shock faces were because of the blood stains.

Has it ever been said outright that Alain is dead? I know in 2014 Sylvie talks about him as though he is no longer around, but they could just be divorced.

They do issue the medals yearly, I think the one she showed Tony was the 1st one.

Maybe some of the things are going to turn out to be irrelevant or just coincidences. The 2009 abduction turned out to be unconnected. Ziane might have been killed for any reason in prison. I can't imagine police officers are too popular behind bars.

Agree, Mark is still dodgy but can't figure out why.

And it shouldn't have blood on, if he dropped it when they took Ollie.

I thought he was dead, can't remember why now but I'm sure last week she said about him getting his 20 year medal so not sure. Didn't she say earlier on in the series something about losing him? I took that to mean dead but maybe she meant to drink. But then he wouldn't have got his 20 year medal.

I definitely think the mayor, his brother is involved and I think Sylvie knows something too.

I agree that the nearby prisoner overheard Zaine agree to meet and talk if his son was brought to him. But if he was going to tell Baptiste and parents that the evidence was a sobriety badge why is that information that needs him to be killed for? Does that mean that Alain (assuming it is his badge) worked for the mafia gang and so that evidence needed to be stopped?

Malik also said to Tony on the phone at the beginning of this episode that 'Ian Garrett took Oliver Hughes'. As Malik seems to know everything due to his phone hacking and amateur sleuthing then somehow Ian Garrett's involvement needs to be considered again. Why would Malik say that? I'm beginning to think that those who said earlier on this thread that there is a conspiracy between the mayor, the hotelier and Garrett may be right. Very odd how Garrett suddenly appeared and offered reward money. I do hope all these questions will be answered next week.
