Teens presents: no idea really but when in doubt, I think a sizeable iTunes voucher will be at some point used...either for music or movies. Or carnet of movie tickets? (They don't go to the cinema anymore, I know, but that's kind of the point...? Get them out of their bedrooms and peel their eyes off phones?)

cherin · 14/12/2014 18:03

(I keep on thinking you are overestimating my artistic skills ;-) but al baking apples in the hope that Xmas feeling gets to me...)

Richtea19 · 14/12/2014 18:16

We've just come back from a day in London, which was meant to be a festive treat for the boys, but they decided to stay at home. Actually meant that DH and I had great time without them moaning. Very christmassy and pretty with all the lights. I went to one of my favourite shops as they have the cutest stag and doe napkins I had my eye on, but got told they weren't necessary for the chritmas table! Drat! Managed a Tea towel though....

I love the idea of christmas cards with original Cherin drawings. Maybe the more exclusive ones could have real leather, appliquéd on for trousers. The bulge could be addressed with a little (or not) cotton wool ball under the leather.

Cherin I've ended up buying clothes for the boys for Christmas. Although they have chosen what they wanted, I didn't buy anything with them, so they don't know exactly what they have. Their stockings from father Christmas mainly contain toiletries that they pinch
of mine, socks and pants and sweeties! I'm sure girls must be easier to buy for.

cherin · 14/12/2014 18:26

Really? I don't think so...but my oldest is only 11 (next week) so he's not allowed a choice. He wears what I buy, which is usually very functional, too big and of materials I consider suitable for my frequent washing/drying :-)
(In this household, I am the bossy one, not CJ!! Ahahahah)

cherin · 14/12/2014 18:28

(I should show you the picture of DH this summer when he accompanied his otherwise adorable teenager nieces for a shopping spree in Oxford street...I think snowploughing through an alpine trench would have pleased him better...)

icemistOBE · 14/12/2014 18:36

New Klipdoctor chapter Smile

Nickel45 · 14/12/2014 18:44

Hee hee. I am also having a giggle icemist Wink
Cherin I think you are underestimating your skills, we love your pictures Grin

cjwoofwoof · 14/12/2014 19:10

Richtea loving your attention to detail re the appliqué and cotton wool buds for padding. Not too much bud in there though - got to be in perspective rather than what you wish for...

cjwoofwoof · 14/12/2014 19:15

Too old for Twitter and FB so its not me pestering. I'm perfectly normal Wink with a healthy lust admiration for comely males in full combats and headset, or latterly Tudor leather and giant goblet.

cjwoofwoof · 14/12/2014 19:17

Good ideas re present ideas for teens. Might gonna need a bank loan for required designer outfits so hoping they'll think Tu is a new French label

icemistOBE · 14/12/2014 19:43

crikey, that you tube video has had over 600 views!

so glad I've no teens to buy for (apart from niece nearly 15) still hard to decide on what to get the boys though.

Richtea19 · 14/12/2014 20:16

That's brilliant icemist, you're a YouTube sensation as well as an OBE!

icemistOBE · 14/12/2014 20:32

lol, i think i need a few more views to be a sensation, but am slightly giddy that its had so many. and all cos of here Xmas Grin

icemistOBE · 14/12/2014 21:05

back on the series 2 campaign 'rollseyes'

icemistOBE · 14/12/2014 21:09

lovely to see the Invictus competitors win on Sports Personality...truly inspirational

Ilovelblue · 14/12/2014 21:37

Well ladies, I can assure you that CJ, aka my venison casserole, is excellent when marinaded in red wine and rosemary and then put in the oven. The house smells delicious. Maybe eating venison is to be my way of decompression?

icemist well done! Do we need to upgrade your OBE?!!

apsara03 · 14/12/2014 22:27

Was watching episode 4 whilst making mince pies. I so love how he smiles at her after the kiss. Can't quite believe that everything now is done with OG in background. If I didn't, In the busyness I'd never get my fix! Am off Xmas shopping tomorrow on the look out for stag related items to get me through the hols when family being around will mean I can't indulge my longing continue important research.
I've still got one Xmas do to go. Wonder whether to go for stag pants under leather trousers, which I can now get into thanks to OG inspired PT regime. Double warm feeling inside Smile

cjwoofwoof · 14/12/2014 22:29

Quite liking the idea of CJ being marinaded Ilove

Nickel45 · 14/12/2014 22:29

That's brill icemist, glad you have kept your name change, you definitely deserve it :)

Nothing on the TV! DH finally got the Christmas tree out the loft .... so I am sitting upstairs so I can't see the bare branches taunting me ... Kids would be very upset if I decorated without them ... and after the constant tears and tantrum we have had today, I couldn't bear it! I'm hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Don't forget to finish your look with a large goblet and clutching your cutlass, Aspara for that extra feeling of solidarity.

icemistOBE · 14/12/2014 22:35

Blush I hadn't noticed I'd not changed it back.

Love that 3rd photo. He looks so happy and relaxed. I've added it to my collection few photos I have in my phone

Only have 2 days between now and 28th dec to watch episodes. Although my sister did say she would watch an episode. Ooh which one to show as a really good example for someone who never watched it?!

Nickel45 · 14/12/2014 22:40

Don't change it a back!

Which episode, toughy. I didn't really get completely obsessed into it till ep 3 either, I think that was the one which caught us all ... Could you do ep 3 before and after the r&r an then ep 4 .... Maybe she will be so hooked by the end of ep 3 (as long as she doesn't read zombie first first!) she'll want to know what happens next?!

Nickel45 · 14/12/2014 22:41

(Middle photo a thank you to SPO for brilliant next chapter)

icemistOBE · 14/12/2014 22:43

I was thinking 3, she'll probably change her mind or we won't get a chance to watch. I wonder if she's watched my YouTube video? Must check
