I think til death is a marriage ref, not re ollie. So even though i think odds are ollie is dead, i wonder now if its a bluff by the bbc to name it that and hes actually alive?!

That's why I wondered whether the title referenced one of the other characters' deaths... I hope not.

Ian said till death do us part to his wife on the imaginary boat.
Just saying.
Doubt it means anything though!

Tony finds out Emily did it and kills her? Or vice versa Grin

Report
mewkins · 03/12/2014 17:47

Neither tony or emily did it. They will literally give anything to find out wjat happened to their son.

It ends with them all dead, cruising on the ship of death for all eternity....

mewkins · 03/12/2014 17:50

Did I imagine it or is their footage of them dredging the lake for bodies in that starz trailer???

Report
spaghettiarms1 · 03/12/2014 17:52

Ahh the ship of death Smile

I saw that, but it was young baptiste, so I think it's either from 2006 or 2009.

I think they searched the lake in one of the early episodes, they suspected that Tony had killed Olleh and dumped his body there. It's quite close to the swimming pool. I don't think they showed very much of it actually happening though, I don't remember seeing that footage. Of course, they could have shot it for that episode and just cut it out.

I like the ship of death theory, it ties in with all the water metaphors. Grin Maybe they are all already dead on a cruise ship somewhere, and series 2 will be trying to figure out who killed them all.

Yeah, they def dredged the lake next to the pool while tony was in custody. It was when they couldnt find anything pointing to him murdering olleh that they had to let him go (when the lawyer got therre)

Ok I'm confused
The boy that is being referred to as tkam boy- is that the very first scene?
how can you see that's what he's reading?
And I would describe him as having dark hair, not fair
And is this the family being referred to as the Scottish family? Because none of them sound Scottish?

But it's still not Olly, Tony would recognise him.

Chefpepperjack · 03/12/2014 18:12

So the Scottish family become a French family- the Duchamps?

Report
reem1 · 03/12/2014 18:15

Maybe they are French living in Scotland

Report
Chefpepperjack · 03/12/2014 18:16

I think that trailer just shows that he wasn't taken by someone he knew or trusted, because he was running away and hiding
Will watch again!

Report
Chefpepperjack · 03/12/2014 18:18

The family at the beginning sounded English, a bit posh even.

But on IMDB there are no photos of the parents- just the 14 year old, who now has a French name

Report
Chefpepperjack · 03/12/2014 18:20

It makes no sense

Report
reem1 · 03/12/2014 18:29

Well I have a problem with that trailer for two reasons:

Ollie was 5 year old and if he
a) just walked off and got lost and saw something in the woods he would be asking for help not watching the people hidden behind tree
b) if he was taken and escaped - hmmm I can't see 5 year old to be so composed to escape and hide in the woods...

Unless Ollie is older in that trailer than 5 years old then maybe escape is likely but young children don't really escape their abusers because their instinct is to adapt rather than face unknown. Familiar abuser is better than unknown darkness of the night.

Chefpepperjack I agree that it was likely a familiar person

Could ollie have just run off after a fox in the woods? We know he had mr fox, maybe he saw one and followed it then got tired and lost, came across someone who then kept him/murdered him

Whos was the blood in the house then? There was quite a lot of it.

Sorry to jump in!!

Report
EauLittleRougeofBethlehem · 03/12/2014 18:58

Feel free to jump in, especially if you have theories :)

It hasn't been confirmed who the blood belongs to. I think it's assumed by the cleaner bloke that it's Olleh's blood, but it may be a red herring. I think the bloke in the mask is the throat slasher fella, so maybe someone took Olleh by mistake, throat slasher got pissed off with them and killed them.
