sobriety medal! Of course... Sophie, the owner of the guesthouse, showed Tony her sobriety medal a few episodes back. She got it after one year of being dry, 20 years ago. So, is it her medal, and if so, how did it become bloodstained and end up being retrieved by Khalid?

I got very confused at the beginning and can't remember the time line of her showing the medal to Tony, surely it was quite a while after Oliver was taken?

Did tony touch the sobriety medal ... His DNA will be on it and it could be Mark setting him up ...

I think Sylvie showed Tony the 1st year one? But it was some years after the abduction, and after Alains death.

No Piece, he didn't touch it, it was in a plastic bag.

Weren't we meant to find out that although we think Mark and Emily are one thing actually they are something else in that episode? I can't work it out

My new theory is that Alain fell off the wagon and can't even remember that he had any involvement and was witness in Ollie's disappearance. But it was Celia all along... Vincent was a rent boy and with Alain at the pool and they both saw Celia take ollie and then tried to get him back from her and a fight happened hence the bloodbuy baptiste could have solved the crime from his armchair after all

Not a love story, but an opportunistic taking advantage on his part and a rebound cling on hers?

Remember how he manipulatively used the photos of James to lay the groundwork? And the look on her face as they sat on the bed?

She had only shortly before left the voicemail message for Tony retracting the request for a divorce. She thought Tony had rejected her and was wilfully ignoring the message (that Malike had in fact deleted) so she clung to the life buoy on offer. But Mark wasn't who she really wanted.

Oh I see. Strange, did anyone actually think it was a love story in the first place? The writers failed I think if we were meant to think that on that bit?!

Sorry, not read the whole thread but has anyone seen any significance in the hotelier (Celia?) giving Tony a picture of 'Big Ears', saying he must've dropped it? I thought it was very odd that he'd not noticed losing something so precious and wondered whether she could have somehow got hold of another copy (ie when she had Ollie in captivity?).

I'd be shocked if Tony didn't notice any differences no matter how subtle tbh the amount of times he must have studied the drawing over the years. Mind you, he didn't notice that ollie wasn't wearing the yellow scarf when he went missing either

Well I had to scratch my head over it, but that's all I can come up with. All the nauseating stuff in early episodes such as blindfold wedding cake testing was supposed to suggest 'love story' to us, I think.

I also thought that Mark and the policewoman seemed very close. I don't know what that means though!

mark is a special officer brought in to protect the high ranking and influential members of a paedophile ring, the reason he brings a boy with him is so people will think he has a son, he hasn't, he's a decoy. He rescues ollie and brings him up as his own boy. When you watch the scenes between Emily and mark's 'son', you can see the connection.

There's no spoilers here at all.

Some posters didn't want to even know the titles of the next episodes or see the stuff being talked about that was seen on trailers so a separate 'spoiler' thread had to be set up.

Elusieve - I thought Emily and tony met mark and his son when saw them in the street and stopped the car and ran to them

Therefore marks son can't be ollie and he asked for his mum in hospital

Seems people have different thresholds and ideas what a spoiler is.
