richtea have a fab time at the carols and tell NVM she's missed on here. Keep eyes peeled; BA may be there but in disguise as he's now terrified of women possibly bearing tape measures. (Yuk to creme de menthe by the way, but a few Martini cocktails and I'd def be a rear ending liability)

pixie - it's great and not covered before in the other fanfics we've been reading recently. Have you been hiding your light under a bushel? Get it published, or at least get icemist to do it for you!

BA had had his Twitter account verified, he can ignore all the mentions he gets now if he sets it up right.

richtea have lots of fun! Please report back any sighting, or even any other amusing detail (are the other women also draping measuring tape around neck, just in case? Anyone wearing combats? Headlights or microphones?)

Btw, we have 22 reviews on the "words not heard"...23 on the zombie (including compliments by klipdoctor) and 5 on the third one...all positive :-)

I'm here icemist! Just catching up and having a proper read of pixies fan fic. Well done pixie thoroughly enjoyed that. I think internal monologues are very difficult to pull off well because you have to try and maintain a consistent voice throughout and I think you pull it off with ease. She sounds like Molly all the way through in terms of speech patterns and thought processes. It feels natural and genuine as well as wonderfully endearing. This is the character I fell for on the screen brought to life again on the page. Well done!

I am still at the stage of 'making water bottles' and persuading DS1 to shower...but waiting to hear about the carols. I must say that London over Xmas is fantastic. Today it was grey and drizzling and cold, but still...looking at St. Paul from the shops nearby with all the fairly lights etc was quite a show!

Can't wait to hear back fromrichtea about the carols. If collective desire could summon an actual presence, then BA would be there (in combats with paddling pool at the ready).

Am getting ready to watch The Fall and further my girl crush on Gillian Anderson and swoon at her ability to wear silk shirts so perfectly.

I'm out., slowly getting very drunk (waiting at the bar the moment), firsttime out drinking for a very very long time, so will try not to post rubbish!!!

Hmmm what can I watch to pass the time??

Just checking in. I am in awe of those of you who find the time to post so much and to write such fantastic stuff. Pixie and SPO, your pieces are very different but both brilliant. SPO, you are a real comic talent! I am struggling to keep up with RL at the moment, and don't have the headspace to be creative - let alone the talent, I'm sure!

Richtea - do tell us everything!

Icemist - I'm not sure what you mean about BA and twitter, does this mean he is getting sick of all the attention and can block it? It's a shame if he is feeling "hunted"

yeah, he can set it to only seeing notifications and mentions (#, @) to people he follows. We'd never know he's done it though.

Having said that, apart from the nutty FB lot, who include him in practically every tweet, its died down now. And if you take them away it would probably be a handful of tweets. (over a week)

I can understand why you would stop all the notifications, but I'm sure when he needs to talk to friends he would email, snapchat or text/call

I'm reporting back from the Carols but I am afraid my report won't be as detailed and well written like NVMs from our Upton Park trip.

The traffic was horrendous and it was a quick meet up with NVM at the Sherlock Holmes Hotel for a swift beverage and bite to eat. We didn't think there was any need for a rush seeing as BA wasn't going to there.

The church was massive and had seating for nearly 800 people, we were right up the top in one of the galleries and we did laugh because we had a rather good view of the whole church which mainly contained women!!!! Of a certain age.... Very sad to report that there was no siting made of BA not even CJ in fatagues, and not even a mention in the program! Most disappointing. I didn't see anyone with soft measuring tapes or hear any bells from stag pants so perhaps we were the only MN lot that made it?

My mind did wander whilst singing Once In Royal David's City, what would of happended had he been there. A stampead I guess. Women scrambling over pews trying to get an autograph. When Sam Bailey (XFactor) did a reading one women hung over a balcony to take a photo, some people are strange! Not like us!! There was a reading of a poem called "The Last Christmas Tree" by Howard Fencl. One of the lines mentioned squirrels and deer in the forest, which made me giggle!

So afraid to say my mission was incomplete, but it just means there will be another one and hopefully soon.

Also NVM is all good, just RL getting in the way!

Just checking in too. Don't have anything exciting to add. pixie didn't get to read your fanfic until I got in from work. The minute I started it I kept getting interrupted by random family members which was SO infuriating cos I realised pretty quickly it was a piece of writing that I wanted to completely focus on and really get lost in. So had to leave it until a while ago and it was worth the wait! You deserve every plaudit going for that brilliant stunt you just pulled! Get it on fanfic. Now. Double away!

So busy typing I missed your post Richtea but a very good mission debrief. Shame BA wasn't there for you but it sounds like you had quite a good night with NVM anyway. Glad she's ok, hope we'll get her account of the evening too, soon? Eyes on everyone, for the next chance to see BA (RL or otherwise...)
