cherin I will give it some thought and then send you a private message.

orphan · 16/11/2014 16:51

It was almost CJ overload (if there can be such a thing): everywhere I turned there was a stag of some description. My daughter was completely bemused as to why I wanted to take photos of them, then finally thought I'd lost the plot when I was trying to arrange a large stag's head in a camouflage dressing gown and refused to hold the head in place. Sadly, therefore no photo of stag CJ post-shower (as I like to imagine).

cherin · 16/11/2014 16:56

orphan No dressing gown! So un-manly!!! A macho tiny towel around the hips, low like the belt, Yes....
;-)
Huggable hottie, of course. Shall we make our own version with the stag-head-photoshopped-over-CJ-body?? I am pretty sure somewhere I have printable A4 on fabric....

Richtea19 · 16/11/2014 17:04

Love the huggable hottie, it's a must for all of our Christmas stockings this year.

SPO how did the game go today, not too many casualties I hope? Also meant to ask "how are your blisters." ( said in a MD way!). Trust DW did a Stirling job.

Managed the ironing mountain, but didn't get to watch any OG, too many people about who would ruin it for me. Will wait until I'm on my own. Did sone art homework with little one. He had to design a christmas card. My suggestion was reindeer, well stag!! Didn't think it very Christmassy to drape a measure tape Or dress in camo!

SPO your suggestion that we might of all changed is very true. I am just as addicted to this tread as OG itself. My significant change is I have applied for a job. I haven't worked since I took voluntary redundancy when I was pregnant with youngest son, 13 years ago. I have done bits and bobs, helped friends out in tea room, bit of dress making but nothing significant.

I love being at home, but really boys are old enough and don't need me, (they get a bus to and from school). Well applied for job, I can't imagine that I will get an interview or even a response, but for me it is the first step. I feel more alive since all our discussions and had such a laugh, but felt something was missing and I think it's a job.

Sorry all a bit deep! Back to tiny towels.... Small hand towel for cloakroom would be very festive!

orphan · 16/11/2014 17:08

On further thought you're absolutely right, cherin. Just got a bit carried away on seeing camo. And it's hard to style a stag without its body!

orphan · 16/11/2014 17:11

richtea that's brilliant. Fingers and toes crossed for an interview!

(I'm thinking teeny towel slung casually over shoulder now...Blush)

mandy214 · 16/11/2014 17:53

Was forced to trek around IKEA this afternoon and quite a few 'stag' products. Might gonna need to go back on my own for a stag cushion for my bed Grin

Richtea19 · 16/11/2014 18:34

DH cooking dinner so sneaked away with glass of wine and watching first OG pilot, can't believe what a horrible dad she has! Nasty piece of work. Man in army office rather lovely though! Can't figure out what I've seen him in before

elsie3g · 16/11/2014 18:37

richtea Bloke from the army office is the farmer from Downton

Richtea19 · 16/11/2014 18:44

Thanks for that. I have such a poor memory! Yes thought he was lovely in Downton. It's definitely the uniform though, but we know that don't we ;)

Nickel45 · 16/11/2014 18:45

Just catching up while kids watching Sofia, and fighting over remote. richtea army office man is also in Downton, the one who is looking after Marigold (looked on imdb, trying to let the kids sort themselves out!). I Used to really like Downton, but after OG, not that interesting any more. Is it me, or Downton? Sunday evening TV just isn't very appealing at the mo!

wycombe had meant to say if I was going to the concert I'd be taking the highest powered binoculars I could lay my hands on, so your opera glasses are very discreet!

Richtea19 · 16/11/2014 19:03

Sunday night tv is terrible at the moment. The boys are excited for I'm a Celebrity, can't say I'm that bothered as I never seem to know who anyone is. Inevitably I do watch it as everyone talks about it and you get left out!

I did watch all of Downton, but when Lady Mary announced she was going up stairs to take off her hat, was when I knew I had lost interest!

Wycombe, good plan re Oprah glasses, I don't have any, but my dad has a pair of Super-nocs I might just have to borrow. Might be dark ish, candle lite, think we have a pair of see in the dark spy binoculars from when the boys where into that sort of thing. BA is going to run a mile when he sees me armed with tape measure, binoculars, autograph book, recording device (need accurate description of event for MN). ;)

Wycombe123 · 16/11/2014 19:04

Earlier photo from a friend of a friend who was involved with filming the series but no further news forthcoming unfortunately.

Devastated that my favourite restaurant scene is only going to be on iplayer for another couple of days!

Richtea19 · 16/11/2014 19:06

Oh what friend of a friend, need more info!!!!! Mole on the inside,!

cherin · 16/11/2014 19:15

I have a moment of OGness now looking at my older boy giving a bath to his little brother...wearing a very CJish flannel checked shirt that I bought him via Uniqlo. Can't be impartial but find him incredibly handsome (oh, my boy, my boy!! Pre hormonal but sprucing up boy!)

Richtea19 · 16/11/2014 19:41

Love having boys! How lovely you must be very proud. One of those moments you want to remember for ever. My eldest is very hormonal and somewhat moody at the moment. I don't get a lot from him other than a few grunts. However sometimes there are times my heart aches when he says or does something special. Must look out for check shirts from Uniglow. DS wears combat greens for Air Cadets and I have to be very careful not to eye up his mates!

Richtea19 · 16/11/2014 19:46

Anyone watching Strictly? Laughing my head off seeing Dame Shirley Bassey, thinking of CJ as Bond, and us as CJ Bond girls, I would look like DSBassey wrapped up in gold! I would be killed off before the titles finished!

icemist · 16/11/2014 20:01

I had a giggle to myself too.

Taping War Horse, never read book or seen the show.

orphan · 16/11/2014 20:12

icemist I saw War horse when it was on originally at the National Theatre. One of the best theatre productions I've ever seen. I was literally sobbing by the end. The puppetry is incredible. However a friend of mine went to a later performance and the horse's leg fell off and they had to pause the play for half an hour to fix it!

orphan · 16/11/2014 20:16

BA would make an excellent Captain James Nicholls who's the sensitive, kind officer in the play.

Rhubarb01 · 16/11/2014 20:20

I caught an old re-run of the original series of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin last night and suddenly I remembered the original CJ - Reggie's awful boss "I didn't get where I am today ....."! It was a bit of catch phrase back in the day along with "Yes CJ" and "Super CJ". I might gonna have to work very hard to eradicate the original CJ from my brain.......no, gone already!

orphan · 16/11/2014 20:26

cherin I too can't be impartial when it comes to my son and think/know he's so handsome. Overnight though it seemed that he metamorphosed from a cherubic boy to a chiseled jawed young man. It took quite some getting used to! Fortunately though, spats about coursework apart, he is still at heart my little boy. (Looks very nice in his red Super Dry checked shirt.)Smile

orphan · 16/11/2014 20:29

rhubarb that's so funny, I had the exact same thought the other day! I didn't mention it though as I wanted to rid it from my mind immediately!

Wycombe123 · 16/11/2014 20:32

Richtea - trust me I have tried - my family now thinks I am weird and have lost the plot and a stranger thinks I am stalking them for information. Oh dear what has happened to me!
