I think the eye rolling is to tell smurf, it's ok, now leave us alone!

I can't help thinking we will probably keep going on this thread until someone makes a decision about OG.

Of course, that will just condemn us to talk in perpetuity! If nothing is announced we will keep on going in the hope that it will be and if a second series is announced we will keep talking about it until it arrives and then talk about that forever after!

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2014 10:33

Rhubarb I agree about the reason CJ rolls his eyes to get rid of Smurf in the hospital.

That scene where they find Sohail and Molly says 'Do you love me?' makes me positively cringe and I do hit fast forward. Plot device maybe but it just isn't even vaguely believable. They would be too worried about being blown up to come out with tripe like that.

Even though I know why Molly's parents are part of the storyline, I often whizz over those bits too. Her father in particular irritates me, even more so now I've watched the original OG DVD.

Richtea19 · 16/11/2014 10:43

Well done for your commitment and going for a run. Stick to the paths, as no grass left just churned up mud from hundreds cross country kids!

I would hope that this thread continues, I love it and just think we are vol IV and still finding out new things, tattoo and possible wink.

SPO, will come back to your posed questions a bit later as heading off to do a million jobs, thought Sunday's were a rest day?

Also have such a massive pile of ironing to do I am going to watch the original Our Girl, (unless DS's homework gets in the way!)

orphan · 16/11/2014 10:59

Ooh icemist thank you! I'm not going mad then, or no more than is usual anyway. He's a champion winker isn't he?!Smile

orphan · 16/11/2014 11:02

Oh sorrynickel didn't see you had selflessly researched the wink for me as well. But you think it's a twitch? Maybe the effect of the drugs then..

SPOfficer · 16/11/2014 11:04

Some interesting responses to the poser so far. Tend to agree with the general feeling about this thread!

Wycombe123 interesting photo. Where did you find it?

cherin admire your commitment!

icemist · 16/11/2014 11:06

I think it's a wink... At the 'wait out' bit, like making it lighthearted.

Am at a party now but will rewatch it later. More research is obviously needed. The 6 or 7 times earlier were clearly not enough

I love this thread and feel 100% committed and by all your sides. OG obsession has morphed into thread obsession. I now realise why I've never posted on a forum before: it's addictive! We certainly can't stop before the concert at the very least (and I think securing a firm date for measuring...) so in other words I'm in it for the long haul.

orphan · 16/11/2014 11:19

icemist I knew you'd be prepared to go the extra mile...!

SPOfficer · 16/11/2014 11:23

Guess what I am playing again today. Yes that is Mr Bump, Mr Tickle and bagpuss in the sand bag wall.

Going to be using this baby to try and knock it down! (I am getting far too excited about this)

SPO phew! Must admit that as MN self-appointed Health and Safety Officer I was concerned about yesterday's description of watch towers at the top of the stairs. Can now see that all is safely penned in!

On another subject, I know I have mentioned my dog a couple of times but I have discovered that he is incredibly bright as not only does he respond to "put some bloody effort in!" today he responded multiple times to the CJ head nod without a word spoken and pushed the tennis ball nearer to me!

orphan · 16/11/2014 11:35

SPO Bagpuss is the one cuddly that my teen daughter won't relegate to the loft. We have a sculpture of our old cat made by Emily Firmin who played the little girl owner of Bagpuss (and she was the daughter of the co-creator ). So hope Bagpuss gets out alive!

cherin · 16/11/2014 12:13

6.4km of run, plus another couple at least which I walked, including a long steep hill with produce from the farmers market on my back. Still nothing compared to the acclimatising in full kit of the under5 (but then again, I am well above 5 ;-)

Might gonna need to hurry up with lunch preparation now! But yes, thread obsession replaced OG obsession in this quarter :-)

Nickel45 · 16/11/2014 12:38

Lunch in nandos. Love a nando!Smile

orphan · 16/11/2014 13:41

Quick lunch in pret. Made the mistake of having the kale crisps instead of my usual vegetable crisps. Good job daughter likes them. Might gonna need a sneaky almond croissant now...
Going to check out stag stuff in J Lewis. Will report back.

Rhubarb01 · 16/11/2014 14:03

cherin going back to Noor Inayat Khan as discussed on the previous thread. Whilst having a snoop around the internet I found this page on BBC Commissioning which has some advice for members of the public with programme ideas particularly about talking to independent production companies. There is also some information under the whole section about BBC policy for commissioning drama and their policies which might be of general interest. But don't want to get into the realms of the FB pressure group.

www.bbc.co.uk/commissioning/tv/pitching-ideas/ideas-from-the-public.shtml

cherin · 16/11/2014 14:21

Wow that's so kind of you! I am reading the Vera Atkins book now, and I think I'd really like to try the idea with the BBC...maybe we can join forces and come up with something together? I mean, except for the ending, which is tragic and unfortunately too true, there is nothing not to love in her story! And she got a Victoria cross! (Plus war theme...in london&Paris...makes it spectacular as a a backdrop...)
I honestly think these are the heroes that should be better known to the public.

orphan · 16/11/2014 15:18

Well look what I found in John Lewis. Couldn't have expressed it better myself. ...

SPOfficer · 16/11/2014 15:39

orphan nice bagpuss connection! He did survive the attack but all participants are now pretty fragged.

snumpy · 16/11/2014 15:55

Orphan that's a perfect description of CJ. He is a huggable hottie Grin

icemist · 16/11/2014 16:06

I could have the huggable hottie and hubby will never know why Grin

Ilovelblue · 16/11/2014 16:28
