Another good candidate for the 'definition' research I'd say...

icemist · 23/11/2014 10:28

I'm trying to find one, when Molly returns to the FOB in ep 1 and he's standing there, looking stern and commanding. Trying to see if I can get it on the DVD

OP posts:
firegirl · 23/11/2014 10:29

YES!! Thanks icemist that's exactly the one I meant. I knew amongst you keen and eager obsessives research students someone would come up with it.

LeBearPolar · 23/11/2014 10:31

I am leaping in here entirely randomly because you are The Only People who will understand.

In John Lewis yesterday: woman on Nespresso freebie stand making coffee. No prizes for guessing which one I made DH choose Grin

And yes, he liked it very much. I explained why he had to have that one and he looked at me Confused

I know he was in the room when Our Girl was on - was he not paying attention?? Shock

firegirl · 23/11/2014 10:42

icemist That other one you're trying to find is also a good one. Haven't seen it for a while but I seem to remember it's also arms folded legs akimbo? And a stern face. Hope you find it.
And by the way pixiegirl hope you're not hungover? Soft play with a headache is certainly not to be
recommended! The coffee's always shite as well so that's no help. (Well it's not Rosabaya anyway)

icemist · 23/11/2014 10:52

i think because its not a close up, people haven't taken a screenshot, but its a lovely image. Being disturbed by 5yr old so have had to stop the DVD for now

Welcome lebearpolar, just a warning: this forum is possibly as addictive as caffeine and OG. Also a tad bit more bonkers....;-) but we DO understand. Our purchases so far have been as varied as stag pants, camouflage combat trousers and, clearly, coffee capsules. I already used sensodyne ("the one dentists recommend") so I suspect that doesn't qualify as OG-induced, perfectly engineered product placement :-))

Ilovelblue · 23/11/2014 11:25

Welcome Lebearpolar. Yes we are obsessed but if you've been lurking for a while, you'll know that. How was the Rosabaya? Am a big coffee fan but make it in a cafetiere usually. What I want to know is if the Nespresso assistant gave any glimmer of recognition? I wonder if they know of the interest it has aroused? Deliberate use of the word there...

Nickel45 · 23/11/2014 11:52

Welcome lebearpolar, hope you enjoy the fun!
icemist I have tried my best for the pic you want, not sure though?
Anyway, added a few more, purely for research purposes, of course.

Nickel45 · 23/11/2014 11:58

Damn, had a good one for you too SPO but I can't attach any more photos? Will try later, sorry.

icemist · 23/11/2014 12:01

Ooh yes it is thank you nickel

firegirl · 23/11/2014 12:02

Nice pics Nickel and I'm pretty sure that's the one icemist was talking about although now I don't know if I prefer arms folded or hands on hips?
You're right lebearpolar we DO understand. Enjoy reading/posting/lurking.

Nickel45 · 23/11/2014 12:15

Hope this works (trying to send from my phone) and helps with your research SPO

firegirl made me laugh when you described CJ as standing 'legs akimbo'. It reminded me of the drama group 'Legz Akimbo' in the series League of Gentlemen ... and that's not something I want to associate with CJ!! However, I have to admit he couldn't get his legs more akimbo could he?!

SPOfficer · 23/11/2014 12:46

Thanks Nickel Right where's my tape measure

LeBearPolar · 23/11/2014 12:48

I kept an eye on the Nespresso woman but no glimmer of recognition! I wonder if she knew how much more successful her sales pitch would have been had she hung a massive picture of this above her stand! Grin

firegirl · 23/11/2014 13:36

You're right orphan definitely don't want league of gentleman and CJ in the same thought! And the only other one I can think of with legs apart (couldn't really call them akimbo in this one) is when he's sat next to Molly in his bunker. Decided I quite like legs apart poses!

apsara03 · 23/11/2014 14:01

Just been to second sainsbury's gutted no stag pants, so had to console myself by buying the dvd so I can watch the behind the scenes stuff. The official reason being it's for a good friend who has been signed off sick with serious lung conditions -it's pretty horrendous Sad She won't have watched it and figured some CJ luvin might cheer her up . She already knows I'm bonkers.
Welcome lebearpolar, those around you may think you've gone completely mad as you spend most of the time laughing hysterically into your phone/tablet/computer or trying to surprise hot flushes.

Do you think you can get rosabaya as normal coffee - no nespresso machine her either and I'm not a fully functioning teacher/mother till i've had a shot of coffee on the morning.
apart the all the witty hilarity of the posts, what's making me smile is all these houses across the country, where children are playing feral learning independence, meals not made, houses not cleaned whilst we feed our obsession conduct important research. I came home from dropping one DS off to find DH had tidied, which he rarely does, his threshold for mess being much higher than mine so it must have been bad.

Nice pics nickel thanks. I caught something on the radio earlier about red stags rutting and the sounds they make - I nearly crashed the car!

pixieg1rl · 23/11/2014 14:05

Successfully returned from soft play. It's possibly the most middle class soft play in the world, homemade cakes, decent coffee, Cath Kidston tablecloths and houmous.

cherin · 23/11/2014 14:09

Was Rebecca there? Or that's another level up, and the tablecloth is pure linen?
(Mah- married to a captain....probably not...;-)

orphan · 23/11/2014 14:11

Stop aspara! My daughter's just looked suspiciously at me as I (once more) laughed out loud. (I'm supposedly reseaching for our holiday.) I'd already been trying to suppress thoughts of rutting whenever stag was mentioned, now there's no chance! Oh well, let those thoughts roam free - it'll make the ironing I've got to do more enjoyable.Blush

cherin · 23/11/2014 14:24

Ps: I think the rosabaya name is entirely a brand invention of nespresso, and only for domestic machines (we have the office one at work, has different capsules and also names. It's also twice the price of the equivalent coffee system by Lavazza. But that's the cost of having George clooney in the ads! I bet BA would be way cheaper and even better!!)

orphan · 23/11/2014 14:24

aspara you've inspired me:
There once was a stag called CJ
Who wanted a doe for..ahem..'play'
It was the season to rut
So his thoughts turned to smut,
As do mine is all I can say...Confused

icemist · 23/11/2014 14:33

Nepresso pods are no longer copyrighted so anyone can make them. I keep looking in the tesco near work to see if they have a rosabaya equivalent but nothing yet. I don't have a nespresso just a tassimo ---- why couldn't it have been a tassimo coffee he needed to be a fully functional soldier?
