My grandfather stopped wearing underpants while serving in the medical corps in WW2. I shall extrapolate from this that underpants are not always worn in the British army.

Excellent work tonight ladies & gent. Above and beyond, most likely a mention in dispatches for all of you.

SPOfficer · 23/11/2014 08:09

I have a photo of my grandfather in his uniform in the jungles of Burma from WW2 which I am looking at in a whole new light.....

cherin · 23/11/2014 08:35

Yeeeek!
No pants?.....dangleberries?
:-O

(I can't really imagine someone walking for miles in hostile environment with no underpants. And the fleas and the ticks climbing up over there...no, no,no)
(Would not react much better to the idea of army thongs, mind you, albeit I suspect it's been used by army of strippers around nightclubs for ages!!)

Rhubarb01 · 23/11/2014 08:35

Morning all!

Great work on the limericks and low slung trouser research. Can't wait to see the results. The only observation I can make is to question whether the length of CJ's torso has something to do with the impression of low slung trousers! Perhaps the optical illusion effect plays a part? A measuring tape is definitely required.

Going to be busy with visitors today, so I might gonna need a comfy chair this evening in order to catch up.

Happy ramblings - sorry research - everyone!

SPOfficer · 23/11/2014 08:35

Anyway, morning all.

My theme for the day, subliminal messages in OG. For example for those of you who think CJ is good enough to eat did you know that Captain James is an anagram of 'set jam in a cap'? And if you liked his sense of humour with his men it is also a anagram of 'jest in a caamp'!

monopod · 23/11/2014 08:48

orphan I am very impressed. CJ has clearly unlocked all your... creative juices Wink

Nickel45 · 23/11/2014 09:09

Oh no, I can't waste spend another day trying to be creative!

monopod · 23/11/2014 09:10

SPO did you know that Molly Dawes is an anagram of Lads mewl, yo!

Captain Charles James is an anagram for A majestic chap learns!!

cherin · 23/11/2014 09:13

That is really true! :-)

Nickel45 · 23/11/2014 09:25

Did you know that 'Our Girl and Captain James Discussion Thread vol IV' makes 'wonderfully funny, mad, clever, creative crazies'?
(well, ok, it isn't actually an anagram, but hey! Bet the OG FB page don't have this much fun!!!).

orphan · 23/11/2014 09:29

monopod thanks - if only CJ had been a teacher when I was at school, just think what I could have achieved?!!

Captain James is an anagram of nicest pajama

orphan · 23/11/2014 09:30

This is a bit too taxing for me on a Sunday morning..!Smile

SPOfficer · 23/11/2014 09:33

Nice one monopod! nickel spot on!

Off to help eldest son with his homework. Has to interview me about my interests. Hmmm may need to be a bit economical with the truth.....

SPOfficer · 23/11/2014 09:34

Oh another good oneorphan!

pixieg1rl · 23/11/2014 09:46

My grandad was serving in West Africa SPO and apparently the theory was that underpants provided the perfect conditions for yeast infections.

The long torso of CJ I think is another variable to be considered. It certainly is a factor in his being wounded as his body armour really doesn't give adequate protection in that area. I think someone needs to volunteer for a special ops mission to get evidence to put this one to bed.

I will have to bow out of the anagrams; my brain doesn't do anagrams.

orphan · 23/11/2014 09:46

Molly and Charles - carnally holds me

Oh dear SPO what have you started? I think my poor brain cells are protesting. Need a restorative watch of 'whatta man'.

Ilovelblue · 23/11/2014 09:50

pixie - can I volunteer to put him (not it) to bed?

Richtea19 · 23/11/2014 09:51

Oh dear, MIL arrived... Too early!

Will think of anagram later when I can escape.

orphan. Back to low rise combats and operation tape measure. Indeed I see even more reason to continue with the mission. :)

icemist · 23/11/2014 09:55

Some shots to further our studies into low slung trouser wearing...

Am looking for a certain one but research on tumblr has drawn a blank

icemist you're the "nuts" ! Great photos to start my day, thank you x

pixieg1rl · 23/11/2014 10:00

My mission this morning is to survive 3 hours at soft play. I'm not sure that even the paras up to it.

I shall take comfort from from the multiple photos of CJ's crotch research.

firegirl · 23/11/2014 10:02

Hmm might gonna need a while to come up with an anagram anywhere near as good as you lot...
In the meantime I have been trying and failing miserably to post an excellent low slung pic. It's the one where he's about to go and start his topless workout in ep 2, and he's walking backwards away from Molly and smiling at her. Can anyone help me out? You know the one I mean, excellent view of crotch too!

orphan · 23/11/2014 10:08

Oh yes firegirl I know exactly which one you mean! We definitely need that one. I hope someone finds it.

icemist · 23/11/2014 10:14

Is it this one?
