Morning! Feel like I've only just goodnight!
Me too snumpy I'm off for round two of shopping trip.

I really need to stay focused (don't get carried away and don't buy what I dont need), stay alert (6hrs sleep and a wine head), stay alive (Saturday and Bicester Village with the hoards)

Happy Saturday's, people :)

orphan · 22/11/2014 08:25

Morning everyone! You're all up a bit Liz Hurley. Dp thinks I'm channeling Dick Van Dyke and isn't too impressed with my rhyming slang attempts. Might gonna have to try harder (and really annoy him).

richtea I've only been once to Biscester Village but I failed miserably in my attempt to stick to just what I needed, so good luck!

apsara03 · 22/11/2014 08:35

Happy Christmas shopping snumpy.
another one for the Christmas list?

orphan yesterday failed miserably sticking christmas list, might gonna try harder today. I have always been the sort of girl that gets carried away and excited..... You'll never of guessed would you?! ;)

Did see a brushed cotton check Ralph L shirt which had the CJ look, too expensive for DH!!!!!

Ilovelblue · 22/11/2014 08:38

Richtea I thought it was Bicester when I saw the photo but didn't comment in case you thought I knew you and your cover was blown! (I don't know you, least I don't think I do). I've been to Bicester about three times I think, but always mid week. Bet it's busy today. It's always made me laugh seeing the coachloads of young Japanese girls there. They must spend a complete fortune.

Any underwear at Bicester with stags on will be very upmarket there - more expensive than Sainsburys I bet.

Morning Grin

Think that's something for everyone SPO will get a Molly one for you shortly

Yay! It's a lip bite morning! Thank you icemist

Making me chuckle thinking of numerous OG incognito obsessives across the country, heading out today in search of stags...!Smile

orphan · 22/11/2014 08:50

OK, time for whatta man vid with my Rosie Lee.

Nickel45 · 22/11/2014 09:11

Morning, thank you for all the pics, love getting my fix so early in the morning!
All this talk of Christmas, I must put some bloody effort in and get myself organised. I've not even started thinking about it yet. This weeks job, but I'd forgotten about Bicester, might gonna have to have trip up there (but don't think I could face a Saturday there, good lunch Richtea. Stay focused, stay alert, stay alive, stay sane!).
Right, I'm off for a cuppa molten, so I can be a fully functioning mum this morning.

monopod · 22/11/2014 09:27

Morning all! Hope you all have very successful shopping trips today. Thanks for the photos; eye candy!

Feeling a bit worse for wear today. Run yesterday, bit of wine last night and far too little sleep; not a good combination! I'm cream crackered, wish I could hit my pit again but have parental duties...

I'm addicted to this thread and fanfic. They're the first things I look at in the morning, even before my kids! This morning I've been smiling at this OG AU, with Molly at Uni... m.fanfiction.net/s/10819595/1/Uni

SPOfficer · 22/11/2014 09:41

Thanks for the pics icemist you are a gentlewoman and a scholar.

Christmas shopping, hmm isn't that what Christmas Eve is for? ( sorry its a man thing)

Hope to do some more number crunching today. Stats for the week (including some individual stats) to be released by OG Office of Thread Statistics hopefully some time late Sunday evening. Number of you in the running for most posts for the week so keep typing!

orphan · 22/11/2014 09:53

SPO individual stats?! I suppose i should be grateful you're only looking at quantity not quality!!

icemist · 22/11/2014 10:07

Individual stats as well??
If our honorary members should pay a visit they'll think we are bonkers the nuts

Having a toy clear out, 'no mummy, I still play with that' followed by 'it's my favourite' I knew I should have done it yesterday but the urge to watch an episode or 2 of OG took over Hmm

Oooh SPO that sounds a bit like you throwing down the gauntlet. We all love a challenge.

No, no, NO (smacks hand) repeat after me:

I........I (you get the gist) will not get involved in posting superfluous messages all day in the hope of winning an award for most prolific contributor of the week!

Oh dear, already failed!

Actually, I jest, you are fairly safe as I am pretty busy today, so will speak to you all much later!

monopod · 22/11/2014 10:13

Our shame, sorry pride, will be complete after your publication SPO.

Right, latrine clean duty now. What have I done to deserve this? Oh yeah, that's right, last over the line yesterday within the bloody unfit rabble. Can we remember we are the British army!! Pep talk/roleplay didn't work that well yesterday either, lol

monopod · 22/11/2014 10:24

By way of procrastination I thought I'd announce that I am wearing a black vest and combat trousers to clean the house. I even did a Molly stance just now for DH's benefit, with hands on waist and smiling/laughing. DH has ceased to be fascinated by my ready charm and magnetism, sigh

cherin · 22/11/2014 12:39

Mmmmhhh, I might gonna need a pair of combat trousers too, if they inspire action on the cleaning front. I confess I am not 100% on it, most of the time!
I also confess I don't like Xmas shopping and do most of it online. Or in my local shops, but I have to be selective because most of my presents have to fit within Ryanair luggage limits....(so forget about stag heads! Albeit they were selling antlers- real ones- at the farmers market last week...at the stall of wild game...yeugh, said the kids...)

apsara03 · 22/11/2014 13:26

Just managed "numpty" and "silly girl" within the space of 2 mins. so proud Grin Grin

SPOfficer · 22/11/2014 14:53

Right, we have had prose, drawing, sculpture and rhyming slang. Now I bring you poetry ....well actually a limerick:

(Ahem)

There was a medic called Molly
Who felt a bit of a wally
Cos no one would hear her
When she moaned 'bout Bashira
And they ended up shot on a bridge

I really need to get out more....

Rhubarb01 · 22/11/2014 15:43

SPO nice work!

I can't resist the challenge:

There was a Captain called 'James'
Who liked to make fun and games
The egg and spoon race was fun
Because Private Dawes won
And sent his heart into flames!

I need to get out more too!

pixieg1rl · 22/11/2014 16:03

DH tried and failed to roll a log up a slope this morning in spite of my supportive comments for him to 'have some decency and put some bloody effort in'

Rhubarb01 · 22/11/2014 16:15

pixie is this a variation on tossing the caber! Whatta man! Aren't the Highland Games something to do with showing off your muscular attributes to impress the ladies - or did I just totally make that up?

Nickel45 · 22/11/2014 16:21

Brilliant, SPO and Rhubarb.
Can't resist a challenge, but I've never been good at poems in any way, shape or form! Still, a good distraction from having to do the ironing or sort out the washing (any excuse!). Anyway, here is my attempt (just for a laugh!)

There was a new medic called Dawes
Who fell for her captain on tour
She patched up his blister
He then went and kissed her
That lucky new medic called Dawes.

There was a young captain named James
To whose heart Molly Dawes had laid claims
He tried to ignore it
When he saw her West Ham kit
But her shorts were too short to refrain.
