orphan measuring trick: go to him, tell that one cheeky member of the mumsnet OJ-AS has expressed the doubt his 6 pack was actually drawn on...and therefore for the noble and pure cause of ascertain the truth (you can not leave this slander out in the open!) would he pretty please lift his shirt just for a moment?
;-)

Thanks icemist that link does work, just had a sneaky peak but am out now so will save it for later.

Hi all, quick note on what Richtea said a few posts back on whether maybe something went on off-screen between BA & LT or maybe it's just the romantic in me wishing it had as they look good together.

They share quite a knowing moment in the song at the end of Ep2 when CJ sings "when you knock on my door baby" and MD laughs in an embarrassed way, then also shares another knowing smile with the audience...I know I'm reading too much into this and that could mean so many things (like "how ridiculous, I'd never knock on your door" etc) but it's 'cute' to think it might be true!

SPO - I agree with you on the restaurant scene, I remember watching it the first time with my heart racing slightly sad I know! Same happened in the medic's tent scene. I need to get out more!

pixieg1rl · 18/11/2014 12:09

Here's a lovely shot taken from the production company's behind the scenes board on Pinterest of LT & BA laughing on set. They may well be laughing at what the production bod is saying, but I like to think its good off screen chemistry.

LT is a female and human. I reckon whether she was open about it or not she was just as smitten with him as we all are. How could she not be?!!

cherin · 18/11/2014 14:04

Mhhhm, I am so sad that a few days ago bumping into images of Gemma aterton I thought "oh, she would have beautiiiifull children with BA!"

orphan · 18/11/2014 14:31

Just read the latest klipdoctor. He obviously does keep tabs on our thread as he explains the decision to call CJ 'Charlie' and mentions MN disappointment.
Forgot to say earlier, thanks for the replies to my question about what Molly might change. I think that as well as her involvement with Bashira, she would want to really put a stop to Smurf's hopes of any romantic relationship. She can see how devastated he is and perhaps needed to have been even more blunt than she was , even if it meant crushing his growing affections in the hospital when he was first injured and he vowed to come back to her. I think that's the point at which he really starts to fall for her.

Richtea19 · 18/11/2014 14:37

Love the idea to be able check out mole, abs and measuring. I would need more than one glass of mulled one for that to happen.

Pixie and Firegirl, I really want to believe that there was chemistry between them off camera, like you said what femail could not find him attractive! A lot of celebs do get together when they film together, Brad and Angelina! I caught a bit of Eastenders last night and LT was on it. Her hair was beautiful and she has such a great smile (nice set of teeth), I have definatley got a crush on her as well.

Back to the resturant scene, I wonder how many takes it took to film that section? Wonder if there was any touching under the table? We really need "out takes" from the filming.

I've been out today ans can't stop seeing Stags! It was Owls last year.
Saw this magnetic stag head in Tiger! What every fridge needs!

cherin with your idea in mind, it's a shame you're not casting aspersions on his fine derrièreGrin

orphan · 18/11/2014 14:47

richtea I read an interview with LT (can't remember where) in which she said she's the type of actress who really gets'in the moment'. Mmm, think I could be as well...
Think I've mentioned before that it seems fairly common for actors to get together on set (all that heightened emotion etc) but less common for the relationship to continue much beyond the filming. You're right about her teeth - really lovely!

icemist · 18/11/2014 15:48

He spoke very highly of her in the interview. Wonder if they had to rehearse the bedroom non kiss much? I'd happily be the stand in for LT Grin

Perhaps there's reels and reels (or whatever the modern equivalent is) of footage of them snogging one another's faces off whilst the director is desperately calling "cut!"

Richtea19 · 18/11/2014 16:09

Just been watching Whatta Man you tube video, whoever did it was a genius as all the stills are exactly the scenes we love the most! I have just paused it on the "nearly there kiss" on the bed. The way he looks at her is how every women what's to be looked at. I know we all wanted that kiss, but the way he is staring at her and stroking her face, pushing her hair out the way. Phew!

Has anyone noticed in the restaurant when he pulls out the chair for her how he looks her up and down, taking her all in. There HAS to be RL chemistry!

icemist · 18/11/2014 16:10

Especially in the compound- it was quite intense..

It was in the Boots In The Ground on the dvd that there was a great chemistry between BA and LT
Loved to have seen the screen test. I wonder which scenes they used for that?

monopod · 18/11/2014 16:20

You know, if anyone is worried about coming clean to their DH about their love for CJ you could distance yourself from it by talking about how you're invested in CJ/Molly or BA/LT rather than CJ/Monopod etc...

Oops icemist gave the game away by admitting that she'd happily be the stand in for LT...

firegirl · 18/11/2014 16:22

Agree about the chair bit in the restaurant Richtea and I also noticed the way his hand stays on the back of the chair for longer than it needs to, almost as if he wants to touch her. Don't know if that was scripted, I think it's the chemistry thing again - BA wants to touch LT!

monopod · 18/11/2014 16:27

I think as a good actor you harness natural chemistry between you and your co-star and channel that into your characterisation and the screen relationship. I kind of hope they didn't get it on IRL actually, beyond flirting with each other! It's helped me to keep my obsession as related to the fictional OG world... ok sorry that's me being boring and a party pooper :P

firegirl · 18/11/2014 16:29

Monopod I've just told DH that it's CJ I'm into rather than BA and seeing as he's only a fictional character that's fine! (Which is sort of true). He still thinks I've lost it. But I would NEVER tell him my mumsnet name, God forbid he should ever read my ramblings on here!!

icemist · 18/11/2014 16:36

I've started to clear the cookies and history on the laptop every time I'm on it.

Hubby knows I've a 'thing' for CJ/BA but as we've always agreed - there's no harm in window shopping, you just don't try anything out-
Obviously hubby does not know about my posting on here that I would happily be a stand-in for LT (we are roughly the same height- so would be perfect Grin)

monopod · 18/11/2014 16:36

Haha firegirl, my DH knows I'm loopy anyway! The last crush I had was years ago, on Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain. I realised only after having watched his entire back catalogue of films that I really didn't particularly like Heath Ledger, it was entirely his characterisation of taciturn Ennis and his relationship with Jack that had hit me so hard. In the process of discovering this I managed to upset DH with my obsession with another man (albeit a celebrity I would never meet). I've kept my interest in CJ rather quieter, although I think as this one's fictional (and DH is secure in our relationship now!) he really wouldn't mind and would probably rib me about it...

Richtea19 · 18/11/2014 16:52

DH is so fed up with me and my obsession with all things OG, CJ/BA. Icemist I also clear all history and after I take a screen shot photo I have to delete as we share an Apple ID so the picture will appear on his phone, ahhhhh!

Did come clean about my trip with NVM to the East End and he knows about the Carols. However he knows it's just a fantasy world I'm living in! He is still No.1 and as long as I make sure he knows it! I am sure he thinks this will all pass and be over by Christmas... Little does he know ;)

monopod · 18/11/2014 17:01

Actually, here's a thought... CJ/BA is obviously very easy on the eye, but do you think it is something else at the root of your attraction to him, and if so, what? I think we kind of got into that earlier with regard to whether it was the character or BA (because BA in other contexts didn't do it for you), but not sure we discussed what precisely it was (other than the uniform Grin... I think for me it is the authority. In most other areas of my life I like having control, but when it comes to relationships I kinda like the guy taking charge and being 'all man'. Obviously in a considerate fashion and making me feel 'all woman'. It's all about the masculinity of the CJ portrayal, I think... which includes the buff (but not too buff) bod Wink
