Thanks for all the insight into ball bag line. Totally get it now, it was one of those lines that I kept hearing over and over again (too many plays) and yet couldn't quite grasp what she meant!

Poor Smurf, such a sensitive sole, seeing that kiss broke his heart.

Beingfrank, glad I'm not the only one who noticed the scars, personally I rather like the odd scar! DH has two on his face, not Al Pacino style, but little ones, from barbed wire, don't ask! Think it all adds to the character of someone. I like moles too!

Super graphs SPO and well done with the run. My whole body aches, I did body pump today, I don't know if I will be able to walk down the stairs in the morning.

A little Klipdoctor now before bed.

Smurfingreat · 17/11/2014 23:40

I saw the scars too, but at first only on one side. I did wonder if BA had had his nose pierced at some point! Closer examination revealed the one on the other side, and the fact it would have been one of the worst body piercers ever and I have met a fair few in my time.

Smurf at the hospital is the scene that will make me cry every time. When he has his head rested on Mollys and tears run down his cheeks, I can imagine him feeling that it's the one and only time he will ever spend the night holding the girl he loves. Sad

orphan · 17/11/2014 23:40

Just checking back in after being out for the evening.
SPO you certainly know how to impress with your graphs - I love them! Much easier to interpret the stats now. Thank you.Smile

Lip biting to finish the day! What more could I ask for? Thanks icemist

Too tired (and too much wine) to post anything more productive.. oh but yes, had noticed the scars. I like a little imperfection to give interest ... Wonder if there are any other identifying marks elsewhere?Wink

icemist · 18/11/2014 05:29

He has a mole on his lower right side. You can see it if you watch the spoof documentary Peter Calpadi made where BA plays a character - spoof on 10,000 years BC.
Will try and find the screen grab

Morning all. Think this is proof that I'm well and truly off the wagon, being on here this early. I am however off to the gym before work, will not sit here staring at photos of BA. Talk of runs and body pump classes on here have given me a well needed kick up the bum.

Quick well done to SPO for coming clean to DW about this thread etc. (old news but I'm only just catching up). Haven't quite summoned up the courage to come completely clean to DH yet. I'm working on it. Small steps and all. Love the graphs and stats by the way!

Right, coffee ang gym. I need to stay focused, stay alert...oh dear, I have been doing so well.

icemist · 18/11/2014 06:31

Found it. Screenshot from The Cricklewood Greats - although BA does not speak - it's worth a watch its really funny. And that's kylie he's with too!

Morning all, stressybird - very impressed with early morning gym. I managed it down stairs this morning so I'm going to do something called Viper at the gym...... Help!

Icemist, ist that really BA??? Perhaps at the carols I should ask to see his mole???? That would be a good way in with the tape measure! (Orphan no excuses now you have to come!)

Beingfrank · 18/11/2014 07:22

Goodness, he's changed his physique since then! I would never have guessed that was Kylie, at that angle she looks more like Ola Jordan!

icemist · 18/11/2014 07:29

Yep, really him. It's on his cv too

But he does look better now

Morning all. Some of you guys get up very early!
My only activity so far this morning was bring rudely woken by my 4 year old ordering her 7 year old brother how to turn on the tv! "Excuse me a second, but when did her majesty die and make you queen" was met with laughter ... Not quite the desired effect ... Must brush up on my mummy sternness!

Anyway, was thinking last night about CJ (obviously) and how different he is in Afghan to in the restaurant. It has been playing on my mind for ages, as I seems like two different people, the CJ in afghan seems so "open" (not sure if that's the right way of describing it?), mayb relaxed? In the restaurant he is more "closed". Wondering whether it was intentional, or whether filming outside and all together for ages was more relaxing, and doing the restaurant scene was more intense? Or maybe its the uniform ... or the sun .... or ...... Anyway, enough rambling, must get the kids breakfast .... Coco pops, of course!

I think that because his passion was the army he was relaxed. It's all he ever wanted.
It's their first date, he desperately wants it to be perfect and is nervous. And he really really wants to play hide the sausage with her Wink

Love your response Nickel. Think that's the first time I have heard anyone manage that CJism.

Everytime I play Ep5 restaurant there is definitely something so different about they way he talks. We know his nervous because of the finger tapping on the table, also displayed in Ep3 return from R&R. Perhaps it was because it was filmed outside their comfort zone. Albeit SA made up afghan! What I want to believe is that both BA and LT were nervous because of the "chemistry" between them. Do you think they might of had a fling in SA? He sounds different until he says "shall I order" which is when I think he sounds like normal CJ. Hope that makes sense! All does in my scrambled up brain!

cherin · 18/11/2014 08:24

Ouch I just found out DH's Xmas party is on the 4th, carols day....that means he gets priority (as he lets me go out for my company party which includes hotel stay). Grrrrrrrrr!!!! Now we'll all be reliant on the spying and measuring skills of NVM and...was it rhubarb? You need to practice with that selfie stick, you don't want to drop the phone amidst the crowd of cheering, possesses ladies!

Mhhhmmmm, I wonder how long it took him to get those muscles (assuming they're not drawn on ;-). His personal trainer should use him as advertising!! At least, that's good motivation for all of us who are leaving the couch and hitting the gym/pavement :-))

orphan · 18/11/2014 08:30

Morning! Gosh some of you put me to shame with your gym routines. (Hang my head as I drink my coffee slumped in comfy chair)

icemist I think it's fair to say that I wouldn't be rushing to measure up the BA in those Cricklewood photos. And would never have recognised that as Kylie!

nickel the restaurant scene is actually one of my faves. I love the almost tangible sexual tension, the intense face to face conversation, the silly cabbage/napkin jokes, and of course the delicious lip bites and twitches. I don't feel he is 'closed'. Any slight reserve at the start I think is down to this being their first proper date (and they're out of uniform and meeting as 'equals').

orphan · 18/11/2014 08:33

CJ would also be very nervous as Molly is coming into his world so to speak. I bet he was wondering if he'd picked the wrong short of location as he sat waiting for her to arrive!

orphan · 18/11/2014 08:34

sort of not short of!

firegirl · 18/11/2014 08:36

Morning all. Thanks icemist for the Cricklewood shots you are a mine of information. Where can we find that to watch it?
Nickel I completely agree with you about the restaurant scene, CJ appears to be a completely different person and I actually found it hard to relate to him the first time I watched it. For me, a big part of the attraction is that he is a stern Captain in charge of a platoon who nevertheless has an emotional side that he is trying to control and failing because his feelings for Molly are so strong. So to see him in Bath smiling a lot and not being stern or in control was quite wierd for me at first. Got used to him now though, can lust after him in the restaurant just as well as I can when I see him in Afghan!
Talking of which I had the whatta man video on again this morning before I left the house, just to have a positive start to my day...in the still where he's sat on top of the truck in Bastion - does anyone else find the way he's holding his water bottle between his legs somewhat "alluring" shall we say?!

Nickel45 · 18/11/2014 08:41

Yeah, he would be nervous, they both would have, and you're right, it is different being in a posh restaurant. And obviously what they both wanted (icemist!). I do like the restaurant scene, just took a while to get my head round the change ... I'll have to keep watching it, to appreciate it more Wink.
richtea I hadn't used the queen quote before, but popped into my head. That's good, right? It doesnt mean that the script is embedded in my brain, at all, does it Hmm!

Nickel45 · 18/11/2014 08:42

firegirl ditto re water bottle!!

orphan · 18/11/2014 08:46

firegirl yes, I def 'dittoed' your thought on water bottle whilst I was drooling watching the video

SPOfficer · 18/11/2014 08:50

Ummmmm can I pass on that question firegirl?

Morning all. Great discussion already this morning. Restaurant scene is pivotal scene in their relationship I think. Tension is there at the beginning but then they relax as they find nothing has changed.

I remember being so nervous watching. Never been so engaged in a fictional relationship. Relief was palpable when it all worked out.

firegirl · 18/11/2014 08:51

I have a DD, can't wait to get home and use the 'her majesty' line on her. Don't know how that never occurred to me before. Thanks Nickel!

orphan · 18/11/2014 08:52

richtea As to mole verification, I am trusting you to obtain preliminary info at the concert, then I will of course be on hand for the more in depth measuring at a later date. (You need to start working out how you're going to get BA to lift his shirt... )

Ooh! shirt, water bottles, aaaagh. In a meeting all day, enforced CJ and thread withdrawal! Might gonna have to see how many CJisms I can use, to keep myself amused!!
